Soon, the seven people upstairs all arrived at the stairway, glancing at the situation in the room. The leading man curiously asked Bing Tianyi, "What’s going on? Where did the other brothers go?"
"Heh heh." Bing Tianyi sneered.
As soon as the sound came out, two brothers hiding behind the wall reacted quickly, gripping their guns tightly and rushing out to fire wildly at the group in front of them.
Before the seven could comprehend what was happening, they were all taken down by Bing Tianyi's men.
Seeing this situation, Bing Tianyi finally relaxed his tense heart. He looked up at the two brothers in front of him and couldn't help but smile, saying, "I must say, you guys are pretty impressive. I didn't expect such good coordination on your first mission."
Hearing Bing Tianyi's words, the two chuckled and replied, "Brother Bing, didn’t you say before the operation that we should just listen for your call when we encounter danger?"
"Alright, now let’s disperse." Bing Tianyi knew time was of the essence. The gunfire from earlier had clearly made noise, and the people upstairs were likely already prepared.
After Bing Tianyi finished speaking, the two brothers curiously asked him, "Disperse? Aren't we supposed to rush in and take them all down?"
Bing Tianyi shook his head and smiled. "Of course not; now is not the time. After you two go out, just lie down randomly in that corner. If you see someone coming, identify whether they are friend or foe. If they are enemies, just shoot."
Upon hearing this, the two exchanged glances and nodded in agreement.
As they left the room, Bing Tianyi glanced at the empty hallway before returning to the previous room. He casually picked up a dead body from the floor and laid it across his legs while lying flat on the ground.
Sure enough, less than two minutes later, five young men hurriedly descended from upstairs. They held guns similar to those of the previous seven and upon reaching the lower floor, they whispered, "Brothers, where are you? Respond if you hear us."
Bing Tianyi's two men were clever; seeing that there were more of them and realizing that their opponents were likely prepared, they did not respond directly to the inquiry.
In the room, Bing Tianyi feigned painful cries to intentionally lure these people into his room.
Hearing the screams, the group hurriedly rushed to the room where Bing Tianyi was located. Upon reaching the door, they fired a few shots into the air with their guns, not aiming at the ground.
"Is anyone still alive?" The man at the door asked in a trembling voice, clearly frightened.
Just think about it—so many dead bodies suddenly appearing in one room, and they were friends of his. How could that not instill fear in him?
Bing Tianyi, hearing the inquiry, held his breath and remained silent.
At that moment, a young man beside him curiously asked the man who spoke, "Big Brother, did we mishear?"
"Impossible. There must be someone here. You all go in and take a look," the leader said firmly.
After hearing this, the other men exchanged glances, none daring to step forward to check.
A few seconds later, the man said somewhat irritably, "It's just a few dead bodies. How could looking at them kill you?"
Seeing their leader getting angry, the brothers quickly stepped forward. After a brief check inside the room, they hurried back out to report to their leader, "Big Brother, everyone inside is dead."
"Are you sure?"
"Of course we're sure."
Upon hearing this, the leader cursed under his breath, "Damn it, I didn't expect these bastards to find us."
"What do we do now?"
Hearing his subordinate's question, the Leader frowned and said, "Let's go downstairs and take a look. These bastards surely haven't gone far. As long as we catch them, I swear I won't rest until they're dealt with."
Just as the men were preparing to head downstairs, Bing Tianyi suddenly stood up, gripping his gun tightly. He rushed out of the door and hid in a nearby corner. The young brother who had been hiding saw Bing Tianyi emerge and also stood up, aiming his gun at the five men who were about to go downstairs.
Bang! Bang!
After a few dull gunshots, five men fell into a pool of blood once again.
Seeing this scene before him, Bing Tianyi felt a mix of excitement and guilt. The excitement came from his actions, as he had eliminated several arrogant criminals, reducing the potential casualties of others in the future. The guilt stemmed from the undeniable fact that he had taken lives.
"Brother Bing, what are you waiting for? Let's get out of here," one of his younger brothers urged him from behind.
Bing Tianyi nodded and said seriously to his two subordinates, "Listen carefully, you two. When the rat comes in, follow him upstairs. I will go up first to scout the situation."
Surprised by Bing Tianyi's words, the two men asked, "Boss Bing, are you joking? If we wait for the rat to come up, won't you be putting your life at risk?"
Upon hearing this, Bing Tianyi smiled at his brothers and reassured them, "Don't worry; I've been through this before. It'll be fine."
Bing Tianyi knew that the remaining five were all top experts. Even though they had guns now, for these five, a single dagger might be enough to take down several armed men.
After considering it carefully, to avoid putting his brothers in danger, Bing Tianyi believed the best approach was to try and persuade them. Even if he failed to convince them later on, they still had the rat and other significant backup forces to rely on.
Seeing Bing Tianyi so determined, the two men frowned and said directly to him, "Brother Bing, we know you're looking out for us, but those remaining upstairs are definitely experts. If you go up alone, we won't be able to explain it to Brother Rat."
"Alright, I'll handle things with Rat when the time comes. Just follow my orders and stop talking," Bing Tianyi replied as he reloaded his handgun and headed upstairs.
Soon enough, Bing Tianyi reached a room on the left side of the third floor. This room currently had no door frame; it was just a simple opening.
For safety's sake, before reaching the door, Bing Tianyi chuckled softly, "I didn't expect all of you Elemental Envoys to be here tonight."
As the saying goes, skilled individuals are bold. The five men realized from Bing Tianyi's words that all their brothers from the first to third floors had likely been dealt with by him. However, there were no signs that these five were preparing to escape. Upon hearing Bing Tianyi speak, Earth Envoy laughed and said, "So you're really the strongest strategist of modern times. You come here alone with your underlings who aren't much of a threat and dare to take us all down? Have we really gotten old?"
While Earth Envoy spoke, Bing Tianyi had already reached the doorway and glanced at Earth Envoy along with the other four Elemental Envoys in the room before smiling and saying, "Earth Envoy should know why I'm here today."
"If I'm not mistaken, you must be planning to take out all five of us today," Earth Envoy said with a cold smile.
Of course, Bing Tianyi knew that lying in front of such a powerful diviner was pointless. So after Earth Envoy finished speaking, Bing Tianyi replied with a grin, "Your divination skills are quite impressive; you got it right this time."
"Alright, come in and have a seat," Earth Envoy said politely, smiling at Bing Tianyi.
Naturally, the competition between diviners couldn't be like that of underground forces, where they would fight on sight. Instead, it was more about cunning and mental battles.
Bing Tianyi smiled as he approached and sat down on a nearby chair. The dim flashlight in the corners of the small room was turned on, instantly brightening the space.
"Why didn't you turn on the lights earlier? Look how much better it is now; I can see you clearly, and you can see me too," Bing Tianyi remarked while glancing over at Mei Fenfeng, who had turned over on what appeared to be an old bed.
Seeing the look in Bing Tianyi's eyes, Earth Envoy glanced at Mei Fenfeng as well and noticed she was still asleep. He chose not to disturb her.
"She's still alive, right?" Bing Tianyi asked quietly.
"Of course."
"What about my brother? Where is he now?" Bing Tianyi couldn't help but ask.
Earth Envoy let out a cold laugh and said directly to Bing Tianyi, "Mr. Bing, as a diviner, don't you know the fate of your own subordinate?"
Upon hearing this, Bing Tianyi curiously replied, "You say I'm a diviner, but I've never considered myself one."
At this remark, Earth Envoy waved his hand. Two young men at the door quickly exited and soon returned with Bing Tianyi's severely injured subordinate.
Bing Tianyi rushed forward to check his brother's breath and heartbeat. Confirming that he was still alive and not killed by these people, he finally breathed a sigh of relief.
"Now that you've seen your man, what conditions will you accept?" The other four envoys remained silent; since Bing Tianyi entered the room, it had been Earth Envoy doing all the talking.
Despite Bing Tianyi's slight aversion to it, he felt helpless.
"Didn't you already figure out why I'm here today? Why are you asking me now?" Bing Tianyi asked curiously.
Upon hearing this, the Earth Envoy furrowed his brows tightly, glanced at the other brothers beside him, and then asked Bing Tianyi, "Are you sure there's no room for negotiation on this matter?"
"Of course there is."
"What?"
"It's simple. You just need to agree to my terms and follow me from now on. This way, you won't have to run around every day and end up risking your lives; it's not worth it," Bing Tianyi said with a smug smile.
At that moment, the Gold Envoy stood up and quietly asked Bing Tianyi, "Have all our people been taken out by you?"
"No, there are still a few left that I haven't dealt with," Bing Tianyi replied candidly.
"Which ones?"
"Isn't it just you few?" Bing Tianyi said with a feigned helpless smile.
