After leaving the police station, Bing Tianyi cursed under his breath and returned to his rental apartment with a heavy heart.
As soon as he entered and sat down on a chair to light a cigarette, there was a sudden, urgent knock at the door. He got up and approached the door, asking quietly, "Who is it?"
"It's me, Old Huang," came the voice from outside.
Bing Tianyi opened the door and turned back to sit in his chair again, then asked Old Huang, "What’s going on?"
"Nothing much, just that Laosi called earlier and said he would bring his brothers over at seven tonight," Old Huang replied as he took a seat on the nearby chair.
Bing Tianyi nodded in acknowledgment, and the room fell silent once more.
Noticing the tense atmosphere, Old Huang was puzzled about why Bing Tianyi seemed so anxious. After all, although Evergreen Mountain had indeed approached Bing Tianyi three days ago, it didn’t necessarily mean that the Elemental Envoy was coming to Lan City specifically for him.
With this thought in mind, Old Huang couldn’t help but feel curious and asked Bing Tianyi directly, "Boss Bing..."
Before Old Huang could finish his question, Bing Tianyi looked up at him and said, "Don’t ask. Let me ask you something first."
Old Huang forced a smile and nodded, saying softly, "Just go ahead and ask."
"Do you believe that I’ve traveled through time?" Bing Tianyi asked seriously as he looked at Old Huang.
Upon hearing this, Old Huang thought to himself, "Is this guy really scared out of his wits? Traveling through time? Isn’t that nonsense?" However, despite his thoughts, Old Huang smiled and replied, "Of course I believe you."
Bing Tianyi could tell from Old Huang's expression that he thought he was joking. But Bing Tianyi understood; in this rapidly advancing technological age, claiming to have died once and come from the future would be hard for anyone to believe.
"I know you don’t believe me. But that’s okay; I can explain why the Elemental Envoy is here," Bing Tianyi said as he flicked the cigarette butt onto the floor.
Old Huang sat in the chair beside him, looking serious. After all, he had heard of the Elemental Envoy before. These five individuals were twin brothers, and no one knew their surname; they identified themselves with the elements of gold, wood, water, fire, and earth.
Of course, being experts in the divination world was one thing, but what was more important was that these five were so skilled that many masters in the martial world felt ashamed in their presence.
"In my memory, when the Elemental Envoy came to Lan City, it seemed they were searching for something. Initially, they didn't cause much trouble for the Crowd in Lan City, but a week later, a series of homicides began to occur. The police were dispatched to investigate, but in the end, there were no results. To make matters worse, several officers mysteriously disappeared during the investigation, and when they were found, only their bodies remained."
Bing Tianyi had just finished speaking when Old Huang curiously asked, "What does this have to do with us?"
"Do you know who the first person they killed back then was?" Bing Tianyi asked with curiosity.
"How would I know?" Old Huang sighed with a bitter smile.
"It was the person who injured Evergreen Mountain," Bing Tianyi said with a wry smile.
Upon hearing this, Old Huang helplessly replied to Bing Tianyi, "It's fine; perhaps they are looking for those small-time thugs who helped you that day."
"Haha, let's leave it at that for now. I want to rest. When the others arrive, you can arrange for them to stay first," Bing Tianyi said before turning and walking into his bedroom.
Seeing this situation, Old Huang understood that Bing Tianyi had indeed been under a lot of pressure lately. Not only did he have classes at school during the day, but he also had a mountain of company matters waiting for him to handle. At such a young age, few could withstand this level of stress.
After thinking about this, Old Huang went out, closed the door tightly behind him, and turned to leave.
Lying on his bed, Bing Tianyi squinted his eyes and pondered seriously. He knew that if he could break free from the constraints of the divination world and perform divination for his own matters now, even if the Elemental Envoy came, he wouldn't have much to fear.
However, performing divination for himself might lead to even greater disasters in the future. Thinking about this made Bing Tianyi feel even more frustrated.
Unknowingly, Bing Tianyi fell into a deep sleep.
In his dreams, Bing Tianyi seemed to have returned to his small rented room in Huating County Town. The room was still furnished as it had been before, and he was sitting on the sofa, flipping through the Book of Changes.
At that moment, the door was pushed open, and when Bing Tianyi looked up, he couldn't believe his eyes: the old monk he hadn't seen in over two years appeared before him, wearing his tattered clothes.
Before Bing Tianyi could speak, the old monk coldly chuckled and said, "Little brat, you’re in trouble, aren’t you?"
Seeing the old monk's demeanor, Bing Tianyi quickly got up and approached him with a smile. "Master, you finally came! Where have you been all these two years? You didn’t even come to check on me."
"Well, if I came to see you often, you wouldn't be far from finding me," the old monk replied casually as he sat down on a nearby chair.
Bing Tianyi hurriedly pulled out a cigarette from his pocket; this time, it was of much better quality than before. He opened the pack and offered one to the old monk, who stared at it and asked helplessly, "Just one?"
"Come on now, I’ll give you the whole box," Bing Tianyi quickly replied with a grin.
"Make me a bowl of wonton," the old monk said with a cigarette dangling from his mouth, frowning.
Upon hearing this, Bing Tianyi nodded eagerly and opened the rice cooker to boil water for the wonton. He operated with the same skill as before.
Soon enough, he brought a bowl of wonton to the old monk. The old monk enjoyed it thoroughly and kept exclaiming, "Not bad; this taste is really good."
After the old monk finished eating, Bing Tianyi finally asked with a wry smile, "Master, tell me how I should resolve this situation?"
"How do you know I'm here to help you with your troubles?" the old monk asked with a mischievous grin.
"Don't joke around; it's a matter of life and death. You wouldn't want to lose such a good disciple, would you?" Bing Tianyi asked playfully.
The old monk nodded and chuckled softly. "That's true; if you were to die, I would actually feel a bit reluctant. So tell me first, how many times have you read the books I gave you?"
"Nearly three years, at least thirty times."
"Thirty times is not bad. But I want to know how far you've understood," the old monk continued to ask.
Bing Tianyi smiled wryly and said, "I can manage simple adjustments to the feng shui, but anything beyond that is still quite difficult."
"Kid, that's pretty good! However, it seems I forgot to tell you something important before," the old monk said, a hint of embarrassment on his face as he chuckled softly at Bing Tianyi.
Seeing the expression on the old monk's face, Bing Tianyi frowned and asked, "What is it?"
"As long as you learn from this book how to help people with feng shui and alleviate their troubles, then you can use it for yourself," the old monk replied with a smile.
Upon hearing this, Bing Tianyi felt like cursing. If the old monk had told him this earlier, wouldn't all the troubles he encountered in Lan City have been easily resolved?
"Can I curse? What do you think?" Bing Tianyi asked the old monk helplessly.
The old monk waved his hand and said, "No way. If you curse me now, I won't tell you anything else."
Bing Tianyi smiled bitterly, sighed, and inwardly cursed, "Old fool, even after dying, he still wants to fool people."
"You are cursing me, aren't you?" The old monk asked coldly upon seeing Bing Tianyi's expression.
Bing Tianyi quickly raised his head and said to the old monk, "No, please don't misunderstand."
"Haha, that's good." After finishing his cold laugh, the old monk stood up and paced on the ground while quietly telling Bing Tianyi, "Listen carefully now. When you do your divination for yourself, make sure to start at midnight and complete it within one quarter of an hour. You must not use any other time for your own divination."
"Only a quarter of an hour?"
"What's wrong? Is a moment not enough time?" the old monk asked with a frown.
Bing Tianyi, seeing the expression on the old monk's face, quickly replied with a smile, "It's enough time, but I'm just curious why it has to be at this particular moment?"
"I can't explain it clearly right now. Just take your time to read and study. This book can be read for a lifetime without ever getting old," the old monk said straightforwardly with a smile.
Of course, if this were said to an outsider, they would definitely think the old monk was crazy. However, to Bing Tianyi, the old monk's words made perfect sense.
Not to mention that when he first started reading, it indeed seemed rather dull. But after forcing himself to read it three times, Bing Tianyi found new insights within the content. Even now, every time he opened it up to read, he could appreciate deeper meanings in even the same sentence.
"Come on, with how you've treated me, what do you expect me to do in return?" Bing Tianyi looked at the old monk and said directly with a smile.
"Forget about repayment; I just want you to use this book to do more good deeds," the old monk said seriously for the first time.
Seeing this, Bing Tianyi nodded and said, "You can rest assured about that. But there's one more question I want to ask you."
Before Bing Tianyi could voice his question, the old monk smiled and said, "As for finding the Dragon Vein, don't rush into it for now. You can think about it after resolving the current troubles."
With that said by the old monk, Bing Tianyi could only nod and respond with a wry smile.
At that moment, Bing Tianyi suddenly felt as if his face had been struck hard. Opening his eyes, he was completely stunned as he looked at Fang Qing in front of him and asked in surprise, "What are you doing here?"
