"Hehe, this gentleman really knows how to joke," the nurse said before hurriedly turning to leave.
Just as Bing Tianyi was about to step forward and chat a bit more, Qin Qi beside him sighed helplessly and said, "Bing, didn't you see we're still here? Can you tone it down a bit?"
"Oh, I forgot! I'm really sorry," Bing Tianyi replied with a feigned awkward smile.
At that moment, Qin Qi approached Xiao Zhang and asked, "You haven't taken the statement yet, right?"
"I'll do it right away," Xiao Zhang said as he took out paper and pen and sat down on a nearby chair.
While recounting the events, Bing Tianyi didn't mention that the little guys sent by Zhu Xing were troublemakers; instead, he referred to them as friends who came to drink with him.
However, when Bing Tianyi reached this part of the story, Qin Qi could already tell from his expression that he was lying. Curiously, he asked, "Bing, you're not lying, are you? Who would look for you to drink in the middle of the night? Are they out of their minds?"
Hearing this, Bing Tianyi looked at Qin Qi helplessly and asked, "As long as you know the truth, why go into detail?"
Qin Qi frowned and shook his head with a smile. "You're too kind; be careful or you'll end up in big trouble one day."
Bing Tianyi chuckled and continued to explain the entire situation.
Bing Tianyi finished speaking. Although his leg still hurt a bit, he hadn't rested much all night. Seeing that the sky was starting to brighten, he yawned a few times and smiled at Qin Qi, saying, "I'm going to head back and get some rest. If anything comes up, just call me."
"There's probably nothing urgent anymore. Even if there is, it's likely just for you to go collect an award," Qin Qi replied with a smile.
"Well, as long as they don't trouble me, everything will be fine." After saying this with a wry smile, Bing Tianyi hurried back home.
After resting for a few hours, he got up around eleven in the morning and called Old Huang to ask where he was. To Bing Tianyi's surprise, Old Huang was actually waiting right outside his rental apartment. Just as Bing Tianyi dialed his number, Old Huang knocked on the door.
Bing Tianyi opened the door, and Old Huang took a look at him before curiously asking, "Hey Bing, did someone break into your place?"
"How did you know?" Bing Tianyi limped over to the bed and sat down with a smile.
"Wait a minute, what's wrong with you?" Old Huang asked with a smirk as he noticed Bing Tianyi's limp.
Bing Tianyi sighed and waved his hand, saying, "I got jumped. Evergreen Mountain came to mess with me last night."
Old Huang laughed and said bluntly, "Come on, Bing. With your skills, if Evergreen Mountain came after you, do you really think you'd still be alive? I bet I'm currently on my way to buy you a coffin."
Hearing this from Old Huang, Bing Tianyi looked at him in annoyance and asked, "You old fool, can't you say something nice? Do you really want me dead?"
"Aren't I just speaking the truth?" Old Huang chuckled. After pausing for a few seconds without waiting for Bing Tianyi to respond, he asked seriously again, "Bing, it wouldn't happen to be that Wang Ziyan came by last night, would it?"
"Get lost! You old pervert. It seems like your partner isn't that capable after all."
Seeing the expression on Bing Tianyi's face, Old Huang was quite surprised. The way Bing Tianyi spoke didn't seem like he was joking. If Evergreen Mountain really did come to see him last night, then things could be serious.
Thinking of this, Old Huang quickly asked, "Bing, it wouldn't really be that Evergreen Mountain came by, would it?"
"Let me tell you, Evergreen Mountain was here last night. Why don't you believe me? How about this: I'll take you to the hospital to see how he is doing. He should have just come out of surgery by now," Bing Tianyi said to Old Huang with a hint of helplessness.

"I wasn't the only one who subdued him; there were seven or eight young men with me."
"Then why didn't you kill him at that time?" Old Huang asked excitedly.
"What would I gain from killing him?"
Faced with Bing Tianyi's response, Old Huang was left speechless. He paced angrily for a couple of circles before stopping and asking Bing Tianyi, "Do you know what kind of person Evergreen Mountain is? Now that you've subdued him and left him alive, do you really think he will remember your great kindness and repay you?"
"I never thought that way."
"Forget it, it's already happened. We should prepare ourselves," Old Huang sighed helplessly at Bing Tianyi.
Bing Tianyi asked curiously, "Prepare for what?"
"What do you think we should prepare for? It's already this late. If we don't prepare well just in case, once Evergreen Mountain comes out, the first thing he will do is try to kill you," Old Huang asserted.
Hearing this, Bing Tianyi couldn't help but laugh. "Don't worry. Even if Evergreen Mountain is powerful, he won't have much chance of taking me down."
"Why is that?" Old Huang asked directly.
"First, the wounds on his limbs won't heal completely in less than a year and a half. Second, he has at most eight days left to live. After those eight days, he'll be shot dead by the police for escaping from the hospital," Bing Tianyi said with a confident smile on his face as he murmured to Old Huang.
Upon hearing this, Old Huang looked at Bing Tianyi with skepticism. After a moment, he finally asked, "Is everything you said true?"
"Of course it's true, why would I lie to you?" Bing Tianyi said with a confident smile.
Old Huang let out a bitter laugh, but soon he frowned and asked, "I mean, kid, how could we attract such a character in such a short time since we arrived in Lan City?"
"How would I know? What can I do if he wants to come?" Bing Tianyi replied with a wry smile.
"This won't do; we need to investigate this matter thoroughly. We have no grievances with Evergreen Mountain, so if he came to assassinate you, there must be someone pulling the strings behind the scenes. If we can't find out who that is, it will be difficult for us to do business in Lan City in the future," Old Huang said seriously.
Bing Tianyi understood this logic as well. After Old Huang finished speaking, he sighed and said, "I know the situation too, but you know how Evergreen Mountain operates; how could they possibly reveal who their employer is?"
"That's true. These bastards are all well-trained, and they rely on their reputation to make a living. If they reveal who their employer is now, their chances of survival would be slim," Old Huang said helplessly, looking at Bing Tianyi and speaking frankly.

Three days passed quickly. Bing Tianyi went about his usual routine: attending classes at school during the day and wandering around the construction site when he had no classes.

After pondering for a moment, he hurriedly dialed the number from the message. To his surprise, after several attempts, he found that the other party's phone was temporarily unreachable.
Seeing the worried expression on Bing Tianyi's face, Mo Yonggang and Old Huang, who were following behind him, stepped forward and whispered, "What happened?"
"It's nothing much. Manager Mo, you take care of them for now; I need to go out with Old Huang," Bing Tianyi said directly to Mo Yonggang.
Mo Yonggang nodded in agreement, and Bing Tianyi stepped outside the construction site. After a few minutes, seeing that there was no one around, Bing Tianyi took out his phone, opened a text message, and handed it to Old Huang.
Old Huang looked at the content of the message, surprised, and asked Bing Tianyi, "When did you receive this?"

Upon hearing this, Old Huang furrowed his brows tightly. After a moment, he seriously asked Bing Tianyi, "Kid, what are you thinking?"
"Call the Rat," Bing Tianyi said after a brief consideration. He quickly devised a good plan and told Old Huang.
Old Huang nodded and dialed Rat's number before handing the phone to Bing Tianyi. Once the call connected, Bing Tianyi directly asked Rat, "Rat, I need you to gather those twelve men we recruited from Huating County Town right away."
Rat was somewhat curious as well. Previously, Bing Tianyi had instructed him to train twelve capable individuals. However, after a year of training, Bing Tianyi had not assigned any work to them. Their days were filled with training, and each month they received nearly eight thousand yuan in salary.
Having overheard Bing Tianyi's words today, Rat curiously asked, "Boss Bing, is something happening?"
Bing Tianyi didn't think much about it and replied to Rat directly, "Don't ask too many questions. Just have them come see me. Time is tight; they need to be in Lan City by seven o'clock tonight at the latest."
Upon hearing this, Rat quickly nodded in agreement and smiled as he said, "Okay, I'll go arrange it right away."
After hanging up the phone, Old Huang sighed and chuckled softly, "It looks like you're planning something big this time."
