However, what surprised Bing Tianyi even more was that the man seemed to know what he was thinking after seeing his expression. Before Bing Tianyi could make a move, the man casually grabbed a small thug from the ground, lifted him up, and coldly asked Bing Tianyi, "Kid, it looks like you still want to be a good person, right? Fine, I'll give you a choice. Do you see that dagger on the ground? If you stab yourself with it, I'll let them go."
Upon hearing this, Bing Tianyi really wanted to curse. Given how the man had acted earlier, it was uncertain whether he could defeat him without getting hurt, let alone stab himself.

After hearing this, Bing Tianyi forced a bitter smile and then plunged the dagger hard into his thigh.
When the nearby thugs saw blood streaming down Bing Tianyi's leg, they were completely bewildered.
Fortunately, the Masked Man kept his word. After seeing Bing Tianyi stab himself deeply in the thigh, he released the thug he was holding and couldn't help but sneer, "Kid, you're really a good person. But unfortunately, in this world, good people don't live long."
"Now tell me, who sent you? Even if I'm going to die, I want to die knowing why," Bing Tianyi asked directly.
Upon hearing this, the Masked Man replied without hesitation, "Kid, I doubt you'll be able to fulfill that wish. You should know my profession; I can't reveal my employer's information."
Bing Tianyi had asked that question just to confirm whether this person was a professional assassin. Given the current situation, he could fully ascertain the man's identity now.
"Professionals are indeed professionals; I didn't expect you to adhere to some code of honor," Bing Tianyi thought to himself. Although he appeared calm on the surface, he was actually quite worried inside.
He thought about how much better things would be if Old Huang were here right now. But Old Huang wasn't present; his leg was already injured. Under the watchful gaze of the Masked Man, he didn't even have a chance to call for help. Was tonight truly going to be his last?
The Masked Man smiled lightly and said, "Enough with the nonsense. Since you sacrificed your life to save others tonight, I'll leave you with a complete corpse."
As he spoke, he pulled out a soft sword from his robe. Although its blade wasn't long, it looked as deadly as a summer snake.

Upon hearing this, Evergreen Mountain furrowed his brows tightly, but his tone remained unchanged as he coldly replied to Bing Tianyi, "In comparison, I think you are even more short-lived than I am."
Just as his words fell, when the Masked Man was about to come forward to deal with Bing Tianyi, an unexpected scene unfolded.
Bing Tianyi saw seven or eight small thugs behind the Masked Man suddenly rush forward. Before the Masked Man could react, they tightly grabbed hold of his arms and legs.
Seeing this scene, Bing Tianyi dared not hesitate for a moment. He swiftly pulled out a dagger from his leg and rushed to the Masked Man's side, quickly slicing through both of his wrists.
With a startled cry from the Masked Man, Bing Tianyi had already dropped to the ground and cut the tendons in the Masked Man's feet.
His movements were as quick as lightning. Once everything was taken care of, Bing Tianyi finally breathed a sigh of relief. Lying on the ground, he looked at the thugs still holding onto the Masked Man with gratitude in his eyes and said, "Thanks. He can't move now; let go."
The thugs were still unsure if what Bing Tianyi said was true since the scene of the Masked Man killing their brother was still fresh in their minds.
Seeing that these guys were slow to react, Bing Tianyi slowly stood up and cheerfully said, "In that case, take him to my room."
The leader among these thugs glanced at the restrained Masked Man and then whispered, "Listen to Brother Bing."
Thus, the renowned Evergreen Mountain was subdued by Bing Tianyi and these inconspicuous thugs.
Dragging Evergreen Mountain into the room and under their control, Bing Tianyi helped bandage his wounds to prevent excessive bleeding that could lead to death. After securing Evergreen Mountain to a chair, Bing Tianyi finally felt relieved.
Sitting on the nearby sofa and looking at these bloodied thugs, Bing Tianyi awkwardly said to them, "I might have been a bit too rough earlier; I sincerely apologize."
"It's fine. If it weren't for you, I think my brothers would have been dead by now," the Leader said with an awkward smile.
Bing Tianyi stood up, took out ten thousand yuan from a nearby cabinet, handed it to the thugs, and then smiled, "You all should go bandage your wounds first."
"This isn't good, is it?" Leader asked awkwardly upon seeing Bing Tianyi actually giving them money.
"There's nothing wrong with it. If you want to take it, go ahead. However, while they go bandage their wounds, you should stay here. I have a few questions for you," Bing Tianyi said with a smile.
Leader realized that Bing Tianyi wasn't a truly wicked person, so he had nothing to worry about. After Bing Tianyi finished speaking, he smiled at his group of younger brothers beside him and said, "Alright, you guys can go now."
The group of younger brothers thanked him and left.
Hearing their thanks, Bing Tianyi found it somewhat amusing; just a moment ago, they were loudly threatening to beat him up, and now they were being so polite.
Although he found it funny, he didn't show it on his face.
Once the men had all exited, Bing Tianyi smiled and asked Leader, "Brother, what's your name?"
"Brother Bing, my name is Xiao Ziming. I don't have a formal job; I make a living helping people solve small troubles," Xiao Ziming replied readily. Before Bing Tianyi could ask further, he shared his profession and name.
Upon hearing this, Bing Tianyi responded seriously; he indeed remembered Xiao Ziming. However, this person seemed to have vanished without a trace during his sophomore year, and he hadn't heard anything about him in the following years.
"Can you tell me who sent you to stir up trouble?" Bing Tianyi continued to ask.
Seeing Bing Tianyi's inquiry, Xiao Ziming hesitated for a moment before asking, "Boss Bing, do you have some conflict with Zhu Xing?"
Hearing Zhu Xing's name, Bing Tianyi smiled helplessly and said, "Alright, don't say more. I know what's going on."
"You really have a conflict?" Xiao Ziming asked curiously.
"Actually, it's not much of a conflict; I just know his girlfriend," Bing Tianyi replied with a bitter smile.
"I see! No wonder Zhu Xing sent me to find you," Xiao Ziming said with an understanding smile.
Bing Tianyi chuckled and then asked Xiao Ziming, "Brother, would you be willing to work with me?"
"Of course! You gave me this life; not only am I willing to work with you, but whatever you ask me to do right now, I'll agree," Xiao Ziming replied cheerfully.
Bing Tianyi nodded and smiled, "Alright, you go ahead. Contact me tomorrow."
As he spoke, Bing Tianyi handed Xiao Ziming a business card. Xiao Ziming glanced at the Masked Man tied to the chair and asked Bing Tianyi with some concern, "Brother Bing, can you handle this alone?"
"It's fine. It's getting late, so you should go," Bing Tianyi replied with a smile.
Upon hearing this, Xiao Ziming nodded in agreement and left Bing Tianyi's apartment.
After Xiao Ziming left, Bing Tianyi took off his pants and looked at the wound on his thigh. He helplessly glanced at the Masked Man in the chair and asked, "I say Evergreen Mountain, we have no grudges against each other. Are you really that desperate for money?"
"Kid, if you have the guts... just kill me now," Evergreen Mountain gasped at Bing Tianyi.
Upon hearing this, Bing Tianyi shook his head with a bitter smile and said, "Why would I kill you now? Then I'd be labeled a murderer by the police. You heard it earlier; I called the police when I brought you in. They should be here soon."
When Evergreen Mountain heard the mention of the police, he forced himself to look up at Bing Tianyi and asked, "Are you really planning to turn me over to them?"
"I don't have the authority to deal with you myself, so handing you over to the police is the best option," Bing Tianyi replied with a smile.
Evergreen Mountain then whispered to Bing Tianyi, "I'll give you a million if you let me go."
"Forget it; my life is more important. If I let you go now, who knows when you'll come back to kill me," Bing Tianyi said while sitting on the sofa and bandaging his wound, smiling wryly at Evergreen Mountain.
