The next day, the number of people coming to sign contracts with Bing Tianyi was much greater than the crowd that had gathered at the entrance the previous day. Of course, Bing Tianyi welcomed these individuals who sought easy gains.
After all, he had already devised corresponding countermeasures, so he had nothing to worry about.
Once the contracts were signed, since the wages for this group were paid monthly, Bing Tianyi did not face any temporary cash flow issues.
As days passed, aside from attending classes, Bing Tianyi spent most of his time at the construction site, monitoring the progress of the project.
The continuous work yielded very noticeable results. Watching the floors rise day by day brought great satisfaction to Bing Tianyi.
However, good times did not last long. Just three days later, this group returned to the construction site entrance, causing a commotion. Inside the site, Bing Tianyi received a call from the security guard and immediately headed towards the entrance with Mo Yonggang and others.
Before long, Bing Tianyi arrived at the entrance. At that moment, he noticed a significant change in the expressions of the crowd. Just three days ago, they had been fierce and demanding money; today, they looked like wilted eggplants, their eyes darkened and resembling giant pandas.
"Uncles and aunties, what brings you here today?" Bing Tianyi asked with a smile.
Not only was it this crowd; even Bing Tianyi himself felt a buzzing in his ears after spending days wandering around the construction site during the day and returning to his residence at night. The noise from so many machines operating simultaneously was unimaginable.
This crowd had initially thought that while they received some wages, they could still work during the day. However, they did not expect that after signing the contracts, the sounds on site would indeed turn into noise. They thought it would just be noisy during the day, but to their surprise, it was even louder at night.
Only now did they realize that they had gone too far previously. The next day, someone approached Old Tang, the middle-aged man who had led them. Old Tang was also helpless; he had been incited by others to stir up trouble and never expected that Bing Tianyi would have so many tricks up his sleeve.
He wanted to endure it a bit longer, but after three days of torment, Old Tang could only bring this crowd to confront Bing Tianyi.
Seeing Bing Tianyi inquire about their presence, Old Tang stepped forward and frowned as he said, "Mr. Bing, don't you think you're going a bit too far?"
Bing Tianyi curiously asked, "What do you mean by too far? I have compensated where necessary; besides, we signed a contract. Each of you signed your names on it—are you trying to back out now?"
Faced with Bing Tianyi's response, Old Tang was left speechless. He recalled that he had only sought a quick profit by accepting twenty thousand yuan from someone else to create trouble at the construction site. He never expected that Bing Tianyi would fall for it so easily. He thought that being younger meant he would be easier to deceive; however, he found himself in this predicament instead.
"It's not about backing out; it wasn't that noisy back then! At least we could rest well at night. But now we can't even sleep!" Old Tang said helplessly.
"Don't come to me about this again. I'll pay you at the end of the month. Also, you should take a look at the contract; if you want to keep making trouble, I can only follow the contract then." After saying this firmly, Bing Tianyi prepared to turn and leave.
At this moment, the group was anxious. Several young people hurriedly approached Bing Tianyi and said, "Mr. Bing, this is our fault. We shouldn't have listened to Old Tang and deliberately caused trouble for you. To be honest, the noise from the construction site didn't affect our normal lives at all, so please think of a way to resolve this. Can we not continue like this?"
Bing Tianyi stopped and turned to look at the crowd in front of him, sighing helplessly, "Ladies and gentlemen, I considered your situation before. We need to keep up with the progress on this project, but in order for the surrounding community to rest well, we try not to work overtime. However, if you insist on saying I'm disturbing the peace, what can I do? Moreover, this is a legal development project; even if it disturbs you, you should follow legal procedures."
After this statement, the crowd fell silent and looked down.
Old Tang saw this and awkwardly stepped forward to speak quietly to Bing Tianyi, "Mr. Bing, can we say it's my fault? Please ask your workers not to work at night; I'm begging you."
"This gentleman, I'm curious about what mindset you had when you came to find me. If you can tell me the truth, I can void this contract," Bing Tianyi asked directly.
Old Tang hesitated for a moment, his face showing embarrassment. After some thought, he stepped closer and whispered to Bing Tianyi, "Mr. Bing, I'm really sorry. Can we discuss this privately?"
Bing Tianyi knew he couldn't be soft-hearted with someone like him; if he let him off easily today, he might cause trouble again in the future.
"Sir, you should say it in front of everyone," Bing Tianyi firmly told Old Tang.
Upon hearing this, Old Tang looked at Bing Tianyi and sighed, "Someone sent me to find trouble with you."
"Who?" Bing Tianyi asked curiously.
"I don't know him personally, but I think his last name is Liu; I forgot his full name," Old Tang said while looking down.
Bing Tianyi immediately realized that these people wouldn't have caused such a mess on their own.
"Is his name Liu Dacai?" Bing Tianyi asked curiously.
"Yes, that's right—Liu Dacai," Old Tang replied quietly.
Bing Tianyi nodded and continued asking, "How much did you take from him to come here and cause me trouble?"
"Just twenty thousand." Old Tang said helplessly.
Bing Tianyi forced a smile and looked at Old Tang, sighing, "Since things are like this, I will tell you the truth. If you can find a way to get Liu Dacai to come and apologize to me, I will immediately restore the previous construction status and definitely won't disturb everyone anymore."
After saying this, Bing Tianyi turned and left. The crowd glared at Old Tang, looking as if they wanted to spit on him.
"Old Tang, how can you be such a person? Why don't you just go die?"
"You are really something else; hurry up and think of a way."
Faced with the crowd's accusations, Old Tang felt helpless. Where could he go to find Liu Dacai?
After the crowd dispersed, Old Tang had no choice but to enter the construction site and find Bing Tianyi. Upon seeing Old Tang approach, Bing Tianyi asked with resignation, "Uncle, what do you want from me now?"
"Dear nephew, this matter is my fault, and I realize my mistake now. I was greedy for small benefits, which caused you so much trouble. Now I'm begging you, can we restore the previous construction?" Old Tang said directly to Bing Tianyi.
Bing Tianyi sighed helplessly, "Didn't I already tell you the conditions?"
Unexpectedly, after hearing this from Bing Tianyi, Old Tang replied emphatically, "Bing Tianyi, don't think you're so important. Just because I have no one to rely on doesn't mean I can't do anything. I have plenty of friends in the legal field; I'm going to sue you."
Bing Tianyi had long seen through Old Tang's character. After Old Tang finished speaking, Bing Tianyi smiled calmly and said, "Old Tang, you need to take responsibility for your words. If you sue me, it might involve those crowds in your community; you'll probably find it hard to stay in Lan City afterward."
Old Tang hadn't really looked at the contract. After Bing Tianyi finished speaking, he scoffed dismissively and said, "Screw you; I don't believe you can do anything to me."
With that, Old Tang stormed off.
Seeing Old Tang so furious beside him, Mo Yonggang curiously asked, "Boss Bing, won't this cause any other troubles?"
Bing Tianyi chuckled and replied, "Don't worry; what trouble could there be?"
After saying this, Bing Tianyi thought to himself that even if Old Tang really found a lawyer this time, he would probably come back to apologize personally since the content of the agreement was based on researched information and not fabricated out of thin air.
Indeed, Bing Tianyi waited at the construction site until around five in the afternoon when Old Tang arrived again. Looking dejected, Old Tang approached Bing Tianyi and said with a sense of helplessness, "Boss Bing, is there really only this one way?"
"Oh, right, there is another way, which is to follow the agreement," Bing Tianyi replied with a smile.
Upon hearing this, Old Tang sighed and then said to Bing Tianyi, "Boss Bing, I mainly don't know where Liu Dacai is."
Bing Tianyi thought for a moment and then smiled at Old Tang, saying, "That's easy; if you don't know, I can take you there."
In fact, regarding this matter, Bing Tianyi didn't really want to do anything to Old Tang and his group. His ultimate goal was to show Liu Dacai and his people that no matter what happened, he had the ability to resolve it.
Hearing this, Old Tang looked at Bing Tianyi somewhat awkwardly and said, "Boss Bing, that might not be good; after all, I took their..."
Although Old Tang didn't finish his sentence, Bing Tianyi could understand what he meant. Once Old Tang finished speaking, Bing Tianyi laughed and said directly, "Since you took their money, you can just return it later."
Old Tang sighed helplessly and muttered, "I've already spent the money."
After hearing this, Bing Tianyi thought to himself that someone like Old Huang, no matter how much money he was given, probably wouldn't change his ways.
"How about this? You figure out the money situation yourself. Anyway, right now," Mo Yonggang interjected impatiently with a sneer, "I say, old man, haven't you heard clearly? You know that renting these machines and changing the workers' schedules are not easy tasks. Now that we want to change things back, the difficulty is obvious. You've caused such a big mess; Boss Bing has already shown you leniency by not calling the police to handle this."
Old Tang knew this all too well. After pondering for a moment in silence, he realized that given how things had escalated to this point, there wasn't much more he could say.
With that thought in mind, Old Tang sighed and said to Bing Tianyi, "Alright then, let's go find him now."
