"Mei Yuan, who gave you that name? It sounds a bit strange," Bing Tianyi said, sitting on the podium and teasing Mei Yuan with a smile.
Upon hearing this, Mei Yuan frowned and curiously asked Bing Tianyi, "What exactly do you want to say? Can you just tell me clearly all at once? Don't make fun of my name; do you think that's funny?"
Bing Tianyi chuckled and replied, "It's funny, of course it's funny."
Wang Ziyan had noticed right away that she had a new competitor after arriving in this class. Although Mei Yuan appeared gentle and refined, Wang Ziyan could sense from her intuition as a woman that Mei Yuan had some feelings for Bing Tianyi.
After realizing this, Wang Ziyan sneered and said, "Bing Tianyi, can you stop embarrassing yourself? She doesn't want to pay attention to you, yet you're still chasing after her. Is that amusing?"
Unexpectedly, as soon as Wang Ziyan finished speaking, Mei Yuan looked up at her with a somewhat inscrutable smile.
"You, go over there," Mei Yuan said directly to her deskmate, a boy who looked rather effeminate.
"Mei Yuan, did I do something wrong? If I did, I can change it. Please don't kick me out," he pleaded.
"Get lost," Mei Yuan said firmly to the boy. After saying this, she turned to Bing Tianyi and said, "Bing Tianyi, you can sit here."
Hearing this, Bing Tianyi was overjoyed. He quickly smiled and moved to sit beside her, starting to organize his backpack.
At that moment, Wang Ziyan stood up and angrily shouted at Bing Tianyi, "If you dare to sit next to her, I'm leaving right now."
The classmates were stunned; what was going on? There were only two beauties in the class, yet both seemed interested in Bing Tianyi. Wasn't that absurd? What position did that put them in?
Bing Tianyi felt caught in the middle after hearing this.
Meanwhile, upon hearing Wang Ziyan's words, Mei Yuan raised her head with a smug smile and continued speaking to Bing Tianyi, "Bing Tianyi, if I say I'm willing to be your girlfriend if you sit next to me, would you come over?"
Bing Tianyi spat blood again, but he quickly thought that the girl must have said that in a fit of anger, as if it were a game. If he went over to sit there now, Wang Ziyan would just go home directly afterward. That would be a big deal.
Thinking of this, Bing Tianyi smiled bitterly and said, "Forget it, I think my spot is just fine."
Upon hearing this, Wang Ziyan smiled proudly and walked over to Bing Tianyi, sternly ordering Wang Peng, who was sitting next to Bing Tianyi, "Why aren't you moving aside?"
Wang Peng knew he couldn't afford to offend this lady, so he didn't think much and got up to walk aside.
Seeing this, Bing Tianyi quickly stood up and curiously asked Wang Ziyan, "What are you doing?"
"Since you don't want to sit next to the class monitor, it means you want me to sit next to you," Wang Ziyan said while glancing at Mei Yuan beside her.
Mei Yuan furrowed her brows tightly and stared intently at Bing Tianyi's actions.
Bing Tianyi thought about how if he lost the chance with such a pretty girl like Mei Yuan because of this situation, it would be a lifelong regret.
Thinking of this, Bing Tianyi simply picked up his backpack and moved to the last row, helplessly saying to Wang Ziyan, "I think I’ll just sit alone."
Wang Ziyan could see through Bing Tianyi's little thoughts at a glance. Not wanting to disappoint herself or make Mei Yuan uncomfortable clearly indicated he was trying to play both sides.
Wang Ziyan secretly pondered, "Since you're ready to compete with me, I'll compete with you properly."
In the end, this farce concluded with Bing Tianyi sitting alone in the last row of the classroom.
Compared to high school life, college life was simply paradise. There were only a few classes each day, and after finishing them, Bing Tianyi found himself with nothing much to do. After all, he had entrusted all the engineering matters outside to Old Huang and Mo Yonggang; unless something major happened, he wouldn't bother checking in.
Two days later, while sitting in the back row of the classroom flipping through a book about the legends of the I Ching, someone suddenly shouted from the classroom door, "Who is Bing Tianyi? Come out for a moment."
Bing Tianyi frowned and looked up to ask, "Who are you?"
At this moment, several boys in the class approached Bing Tianyi and whispered, "Brother Bing, you need to be careful of this guy; he's a well-known troublemaker in our school, Jin Fei."
Upon hearing this, Bing Tianyi looked at his brothers and curiously asked, "A troublemaker? What does an old troublemaker look like?"
At this point, Bing Tianyi still had the energy to tease them, which left his classmates bewildered.
"I am Jin Fei. If you know what's good for you, call me Brother Fei," Jin Fei boasted arrogantly.
Hearing Jin Fei's tone reminded Bing Tianyi of Zhu Xing, who had come with Qin Yue when he first arrived in Lan City. Zhu Xing had acted similarly towards him back then.
"Alright then, where are you taking me?" Bing Tianyi asked with a smile as he stood up to leave.
"Heh heh, you'll find out when we get there," Jin Fei replied smugly.
Just then, Mei Yuan stood up in the classroom and angrily shouted at Jin Fei, "What grade are you in? Do you believe I’ll go tell the teacher right now?"
"Sister-in-law, don't meddle. Our big brother has had his eye on you for a long time; he just hasn't had the chance to confess yet," Jin Fei said with a mischievous grin at Mei Yuan.
Mei Yuan's face turned red with anger as she glared fiercely at Jin Fei. Seeing her expression, Bing Tianyi chuckled and said, "It's fine; it's just a small matter. I'll be back soon."
On the other hand, Wang Ziyan, sitting in her chair, coldly remarked after Bing Tianyi finished speaking, "These days, there are so many people looking for trouble. And it sounds like it's all for a woman—I'm just baffled."
Mei Yuan turned her head and shot a glance at Wang Ziyan before coldly saying, "You don't have to speak so harshly."
"That's just how I am. If you don't like it, come and hit me," Wang Ziyan replied with an air of superiority as she looked at Mei Yuan with a sneer.
Mei Yuan frowned and chose not to respond to Wang Ziyan.
Bing Tianyi could see that Wang Ziyan's changes were only reflected in herself. However, she was still the same old Wang Ziyan when it came to others—there was not a hint of change.
Such a woman is not difficult to handle; rather, even if one manages to control her, life will likely not be very happy due to temperament and personality.
Thinking of this, Bing Tianyi sighed and said, "Alright, you two stop arguing."
Seeing that Bing Tianyi's words had indeed silenced the two girls, Jin Fei looked at him in surprise and asked, "Brother, you have quite the charm."
"Enough nonsense, if you want to fight, let’s get on with it," Bing Tianyi replied angrily.
Jin Fei's expression turned serious again as he led Bing Tianyi out of the classroom and straight to the third floor. Once upstairs, Bing Tianyi smiled wryly and said, "What is it? Are we going to the restroom again?"
Bing Tianyi actually disliked fighting in the restroom the most; not to mention the unpleasant smell, it affected his mood.
"You’re pretty clever, but why do smart people do foolish things?" Jin Fei retorted to his two companions.
The two men beside him scratched their heads and then laughed, "Just a fool."
"Clever!" Jin Fei said as he slapped one of the men on the head.
As they entered the restroom, Jin Fei closed the door behind them.
Bing Tianyi looked at the group of burly men gathered in the restroom and helplessly smiled, "I say, brothers, what are you doing? Can't we discuss things outside? Why come here?"
"Heh heh, it's so boring outside," one man leaning against the wall said while smoking a cigarette, sneering at Bing Tianyi.
Upon hearing this, Bing Tianyi chuckled and asked, "What’s going on? Is there something important to discuss today?"
"Chain Explosion, come out," said the man leaning against the wall. Slowly stepping out from the crowd was a guy whom Bing Tianyi recognized as someone he had previously chased off the playground while calling for his grandfather.
"Grandson, so it was you looking for me. Speak up, what do you want from your grandpa?" Bing Tianyi said with a dismissive smile.
"Chain Explosion," upon hearing this, looked at Bing Tianyi and angrily said, "How dare you talk back when we have so many people here today? If I don't make you drink my urine, I won't take your surname."
As soon as the words left his mouth, the man leaning against the wall chuckled and said, "Chain Explosion, calm down. Why don't you go over there and prepare a cup of green tea for this brother to moisten his throat?"
Just after he finished speaking, Chain Explosion eagerly grabbed a bottle of mineral water, pulled down his pants, and began to urinate.
Seeing this scene, Bing Tianyi was completely drunk; wasn't this just giving himself a bottle of drink?
Thinking of this, Bing Tianyi helplessly asked Leader, "What was your name again? I still don't quite remember."
"Hehe, Dongfang Hetong," Dongfang Hetong replied with a smile, though his expression carried a hint of disdain.
Upon hearing this, Bing Tianyi murmured, "So that's how it is. I wonder if Brother Dongfang has ever had this kind of drink before?"
"You brat, are you looking for death? How dare you speak like that in front of our Brother Dongfang!" Suddenly, a burly man appeared beside him, grabbing Bing Tianyi by the collar and shouting angrily.
Bing Tianyi remained unfazed as he extended his hand to slowly loosen the man's grip. Then he smiled and said, "Brother, don't get angry. You seem quite fired up. How about this: once the green tea is ready, you can have the first sip."
As soon as he finished speaking, Chain Explosion stepped forward holding a cup of his freshly brewed green tea and smiled at Bing Tianyi, saying, "Hey kid, come try this."
