As Bing Tianyi spoke, Wang Debiao began to understand. Although in many ways Bing Tianyi's actions would benefit the people of Lan City, it was clear that he intended to completely eliminate other real estate developers in Lan City.
The business world is like a battlefield; a moment's carelessness could lead to unpredictable consequences when these people are pushed to their limits.
Thinking of this, Wang Debiao frowned and sighed, "I understand your plan. Using this piece of land to take down other real estate developers is one thing, but have you considered that many of these people support hundreds or thousands of employees? If their companies collapse, those people will be out of work."
Bing Tianyi had indeed thought about this aspect when making his decision. However, the situation was as it was, and there was little he could do about it.
Once Wang Debiao finished speaking, Bing Tianyi raised his head and said with difficulty, "I truly can't help with that. However, I believe that for some of them, this might not be a bad thing."
"So you mean it's good for them not to make money?" Wang Debiao countered.
"Of course not. Most of the workers out there are in their thirties or forties. Over the past few years, they've likely gained a lot of experience. If they return home under pressure, they might come up with new ways to earn money," Bing Tianyi said with a helpless smile. After all, he knew that to achieve something significant, one couldn't always be worried about potential losses.
After hearing Bing Tianyi's words, Wang Debiao also smiled. He stood up and paced around the room. A few minutes later, the phone on Wang Debiao's desk rang.
Noticing the change in Wang Debiao's expression, Bing Tianyi quickly approached and asked curiously, "Chairman Wang, what's going on?"
"Well, what had to come has come," Wang Debiao said with resignation before stepping forward to answer the call.
"Hello, Zhu? Good, I'll be there shortly."
After finishing his cheerful conversation on the phone, Wang Debiao hung up and sat back in his chair with his hands on his head. At that moment, he felt particularly troubled about how he would explain Bing Tianyi's situation when meeting with several other real estate tycoons from Lan City today.
After hesitating for a few seconds, Bing Tianyi finally stood up and said to Wang Debiao, "Chairman Wang, if this situation is making things difficult for you, how about I accompany you today?"
"How do you know what I'm going to do?" Wang Debiao frowned and asked.
Bing Tianyi replied directly with a smile, "They won't just let this go. I think the call earlier was just the beginning. Since they have just started, we need to show our stance as well."
As soon as he finished speaking, Wang Debiao waved his hand and said, "Alright, don't include us in this. You and I are definitely not on the same side. Let's keep this separate."
Just as Bing Tianyi and Wang Debiao were talking, the door to Wang Debiao's room was pushed open. Both of them were taken aback and turned to look at the entrance.
Wang Ziyan entered wearing shorts and a loose yellow T-shirt. Upon seeing Bing Tianyi, she stepped forward and asked with a smile, "What's going on? Is my father not supporting you?"
Seeing his daughter come in, Wang Debiao realized that he could no longer discuss matters with Bing Tianyi here. He smiled bitterly in his heart, raised his head, and frowned at Wang Ziyan, asking, "Who let you in?"
"Of course, I let myself in," Wang Ziyan replied confidently, not backing down in her demeanor at all.
Wang Debiao slammed his hand on the table and muttered angrily, "Every day is getting more chaotic. We're discussing important matters, and you barged in like this. So, what is it?"
Seeing Wang Debiao questioning her, Wang Ziyan raised her eyebrows slightly and curiously asked, "What are you two discussing?"
"Is this something you should be concerned about?"
"Of course it is," Wang Ziyan said playfully as she sat down on the nearby sofa.
Bing Tianyi felt a bit awkward witnessing this scene. He quickly stepped forward and smiled, "Alright then, shall we move on?"
Wang Debiao sighed helplessly, glanced at his daughter, and nodded, saying, "Let's go."
Unexpectedly, as the two of them were leaving, Wang Ziyan cheerfully followed along, getting close to her father and whispering, "Dad, take me with you."
"Go back, don't follow us around causing trouble," Wang Debiao replied. He understood that this was not an ordinary dinner gathering. If it were a regular dinner, he would have taken his daughter along to help her get familiar with the business for when she graduated from university and could assist him.
However, today's dinner was supposedly a celebration by the real estate tycoons of Lan City for Bing Tianyi becoming a member of the Lan City real estate developers. To put it bluntly, it was clearly a trap.
Wang Debiao still had no idea what might happen at this gathering.
"I won't go back. Just take me with you! I've been going crazy at home lately. Besides, I can help you out with some ideas, right?" Wang Ziyan said to her father while secretly making a face at Bing Tianyi.
Bing Tianyi found this amusing as well.
Wang Debiao knew his daughter very well; once she set her mind on something, it was nearly impossible to change her mind.
"Sigh... how did I end up with such a daughter!" After saying this, Wang Debiao sighed and walked straight out the door.
At the entrance of the group, Wang Debiao had already instructed the driver to prepare the car. Once inside, he looked at Bing Tianyi standing at the door and asked, "Do you know where Dragon City Hotel is?"
If there were other places in Lan City that Bing Tianyi couldn't recall, that would be understandable. But if he couldn't remember Dragon City Hotel, that would be quite concerning.
"I know," Bing Tianyi replied confidently.
"Then let's head over first; you can drive over later," Wang Debiao said before heading straight to Dragon City Hotel. Bing Tianyi stood at the door for a moment, then took out his phone and called Old Huang.
After a brief conversation, Bing Tianyi hailed a taxi and headed directly to Dragon City Hotel. His own car was still in the county town, and since he was just starting out here, he didn't want to spend money on unnecessary expenses.
Upon arriving at the entrance of Dragon City Hotel, Bing Tianyi had just gotten out of the car when Old Huang stepped over and curiously asked, "Boss Bing, what's going on today? Are you planning to take me to eat here?"
"Isn't our relationship obvious here? Today, I'm introducing you to a few real estate bosses from around here. But remember, once we go in, try not to speak unless necessary; just sit next to me and eat," Bing Tianyi advised.
Old Huang chuckled and replied, "Don't worry, I understand this."
After saying that, Bing Tianyi led Old Huang inside. Guided by a waiter, they arrived at the door of a private room on the second floor. As they knocked and entered, a rich aroma of wine wafted through the air.
Inside the room, there were nine people seated, including Wang Debiao and Wang Ziyan. Upon seeing Bing Tianyi enter, Zhu, who was the most talkative among them, stood up, swaying his large belly and asked, "Are you Bing Tianyi?"
Bing Tianyi nodded with a smile and said, "Yes, that's me."
"Do you know Zhu Xing?" Zhu frowned and inquired.
"Are you Zhu Xing's father?" Bing Tianyi asked with a smile upon seeing Zhu.
Zhu nodded and said, "Thank you for your help regarding my son."
"You're welcome; it's nothing," Bing Tianyi replied sincerely with a smile.
Meanwhile, the remaining attendees were astonished. Although they had heard about a prodigy emerging from Huating County Town, they never expected him to be so young.
However, this largely pleased the older gentlemen present. They believed that experience still held value; especially in the real estate industry where market conditions could change rapidly. A small mistake could lead to significant losses, and their main concern was ending up in dire straits.
"Boss Bing, please have a seat," Wang Debiao said seriously in a low voice.
Bing Tianyi nodded and took a seat on an empty chair beside him, gesturing for Old Huang to sit next to him as well. Once Old Huang sat down, he showed no hesitation and immediately picked up his chopsticks to start eating.
As Bing Tianyi saw Old Huang enjoying the food, he didn't think much and said with a smile, "Everyone, dig in! Such good dishes shouldn't go to waste."
While speaking, Bing Tianyi picked up his chopsticks and started eating.
At that moment, everyone at the table felt delighted. With someone like him wanting to enter their Lan City real estate industry, wasn't that ridiculous?
"Mr. Bing, I heard you are planning to develop the land in the city center, right?" Liu Dacai asked with a smile.
Bing Tianyi swallowed his food and replied with a smile, "And you are?"
"I am Liu Dacai," Liu Dacai sneered, his eyes filled with disdain for Bing Tianyi. Of course, if it weren't for this kid's interference, he would have already finalized the deal for that piece of land. What frustrated him even more was that he still had no idea how Bing Tianyi managed to acquire that land.
"Ah, Mr. Liu, nice to meet you," Bing Tianyi said as he reached out for a handshake. Seeing this, Liu Dacai pretended not to notice and coldly remarked, "About the compensation for that piece of land, I wonder how you plan to handle it, Mr. Bing?"
Noticing Liu Dacai's attitude, Bing Tianyi didn't say much more. He picked up a piece of fish and said with a mumble of delight, "This fish is delicious; it tastes pretty good."
"Mr. Bing, about what I asked you earlier?" Liu Dacai frowned and pressed on.
Just then, Old Huang quickly chimed in to Bing Tianyi with a smile, "Mr. Bing, you should try this; it's quite fresh."
Bing Tianyi glanced at a turtle soup in the middle of the table and shook his head with a smile, saying, "You should have more of this; I'll just have a little."
The people at the table never expected such a scene; they looked at each other helplessly as they watched Bing Tianyi and Old Huang harmoniously enjoying their meal together.
