Bing Tianyi knew Old Huang's skills. Although the kid's speed seemed quite fast based on the earlier situation, judging from his build and upper body strength, his abilities were likely average. Therefore, Bing Tianyi was not worried about Old Huang being unable to handle the kid.
"What's the rush? Isn't someone already chasing after him?" Bing Tianyi said with a sincere smile, speaking softly to Qin Yue.
Qin Yue was completely drunk, looking at Bing Tianyi with eyes full of anxiety.
"Are you even a man? Not only are you not helping me get my bag back, but you're also gloating," Qin Yue said angrily.
Bing Tianyi chuckled and looked at Qin Yue, saying directly, "Beautiful lady, how does not helping you get your bag back relate to whether I'm a man or not?"
Qin Yue was speechless; she didn't want to waste another word with someone like Bing Tianyi. After he finished speaking, she simply turned around and continued to chase in the direction the thief had gone.
As for Bing Tianyi, encountering an acquaintance, especially Qin Qi's sister, he couldn't just let it go easily. Following behind Qin Yue, he kept laughing and said, "Alright, beautiful lady, don't worry. My friend will definitely help you get it back."
"You mean that uncle? Look at him; he's almost fifty years old. Are you joking?" Qin Yue frowned and sneered.
Bing Tianyi sighed and pretended to be helpless as he quietly said, "You can't judge a book by its cover. Although he's a bit older, his skills are really impressive. Why don't you come sit down for a bit while I tell you about my friend's heroic deeds?"
Just as Bing Tianyi finished speaking, unexpectedly, Qin Yue suddenly shouted loudly from the crowd, "There's a rogue! Help! I'm being harassed!"
At these words, Bing Tianyi was taken aback and quickly asked with a wry smile, "Hey, wait a minute! Can we play this nicely? I’m considered your sister's lifesaver after all."
But it was too late; the surrounding crowd began to cast strange looks at Bing Tianyi upon hearing her shout.
Meanwhile, Qin Yue quickened her pace and continued forward.
Bing Tianyi understood that if he chased after her now, this girl might slander him even more. With so many people around, it wouldn't be glorious to have his reputation ruined in an instant.
Standing still, Bing Tianyi waited until Qin Yue was about five or six meters away before he sighed helplessly and said, "Sigh... You don't even remember your savior, yet you expect me to help others for fun."
After saying this, Bing Tianyi simply squatted down beside the garden.
Upon hearing the words "savior," Qin Yue felt curious. She stopped in her tracks, turned her head to glance at Bing Tianyi, and then asked, "What do you mean by that?"
"It doesn't mean anything. I was just saying that since you don't remember me, that's fine. But your sister Qin Qi should remember me, right?" Bing Tianyi said with a dismissive smile.
Qin Yue was taken aback by this and stared intently at Bing Tianyi. After a moment, a memory of a little kid suddenly surfaced in her mind. Looking at the current Bing Tianyi, she realized how much he resembled that child.
"You came from Huating County Town, right?" Qin Yue asked curiously.
Bing Tianyi nodded and replied, "Why? Don't you believe me?"
"Wait a minute, what was your name again? Bing Tianyi, right? I remember now; it was you who saved my sister three years ago, right?" Qin Yue finally forgot about her bag and hurriedly approached Bing Tianyi with a cheerful smile.
Bing Tianyi chuckled wryly and said, "It wasn't three years ago; it was two and a half years ago."
"I'm sorry; I truly apologize. I was too anxious earlier and didn't recognize you. But honestly, you've changed quite a bit in these two years," Qin Yue remarked as she looked at Bing Tianyi's clean and tidy clothes and his demeanor while speaking. He was completely different from the ragged little boy she remembered; if it weren't for their striking resemblance, she would have found it hard to believe he was that shabby kid.
"Hehe, considering that you still recognized me, I'll let it slide," Bing Tianyi said with a soft laugh.
At that moment, Old Huang approached with a bag in his left hand and the collar of Young Man's shirt in his right hand, panting heavily. Seeing this, Qin Yue exclaimed in surprise, "Wow, that uncle is really impressive! He actually helped me get my wallet back."
"I told you he was quite capable; you just didn't believe me," Bing Tianyi replied calmly with a smile.
As soon as he finished speaking, Old Huang widened his eyes and glanced at Bing Tianyi. He then stepped forward, looking at Qin Yue with a smile and said, "Miss, this is your wallet. Which thief took it?"
"Thank you, uncle," Qin Yue replied. After saying this, she walked directly in front of the thief and without hesitation, delivered a hard kick between his legs.
After that kick, not to mention how the thief felt, even Bing Tianyi standing nearby couldn't help but clench his legs together.
"Ah!"
The thief let out a miserable scream and immediately crouched down in pain.
Meanwhile, as the thief cried out loudly, Qin Yue coldly smiled and said, "I won't call the police today; consider this kick your punishment."
Upon hearing this, Bing Tianyi couldn't help but chuckle inwardly: "This is even more satisfying than calling the police. At least they would just be fined and detained for a few days. But after this kick, who knows if this guy will ever be able to perform in bed again."
After Qin Yue spoke, she looked at Bing Tianyi and Old Huang with a smile and asked, "When did you guys come to the city? I wonder if you have time now?"
"What's wrong? Does Miss Qin have something to discuss?" Old Huang suddenly became formal, smiling as he quietly asked Qin Yue.
Bing Tianyi had never seen Old Huang behave so respectfully in front of a girl before; the sudden change was truly hard for him to bear.
Clearing his throat twice, Bing Tianyi leaned closer to Old Huang and whispered, "Old buddy, is it just because you saw a beautiful woman? Can we talk normally?"
Upon hearing this, Old Huang shot an annoyed glance at Bing Tianyi and then chuckled softly, "Mr. Bing, don't you have an important matter that still needs your attention? How about I accompany this young lady home while you go take care of your business?"
After hearing this, Bing Tianyi felt an overwhelming sense of frustration. When did this old buddy become like this? Isn't this clearly prioritizing romance over friendship?
However, he had no choice. Just as Old Huang finished speaking, Qin Yue smiled at Bing Tianyi and said, "Mr. Bing, heh heh, if you're busy, you can go ahead. After I finalize the location with this uncle, I'll call you."
Bing Tianyi felt helpless. What could he possibly do at this moment? However, since Old Huang had said so, if he acted too obviously, Qin Yue would inevitably overthink things.
"Alright then, I'll visit your house another day," Bing Tianyi said with a bitter smile.
"Mr. Bing, you can go ahead and get busy," Old Huang said, feeling secretly pleased. After saying this to Bing Tianyi, he turned to Qin Yue and spoke softly, "Miss Qin, shall we go?"
Qin Yue nodded, and the two of them walked away together.
Bing Tianyi stood in place, feeling like cursing. Old Huang had been by his side for two years now, and during this time, he never really thought of Old Huang as particularly lecherous. But today, it seemed that this old guy was indeed hiding his true nature.
"Well, fine. I have plenty of beautiful women around me anyway; losing one isn't a big deal. I'll let you have this one," Bing Tianyi said as he stepped into the nearby milk tea shop.
After waiting for his cup of milk tea, Bing Tianyi felt bored in the shop and decided to head out for a stroll on the street.
However, just as he stepped outside, the thief from earlier approached him, walking with a noticeable limp that suggested he was in pain.
"Wait." The thief called out in a low voice before reaching Bing Tianyi.
Bing Tianyi stopped and turned around with curiosity. "What's up, brother? Are you looking for medical expenses?"
The thief stepped closer and whispered to Bing Tianyi, "Come with me."
At that moment, the thief's eyes were filled with anger.
"Go? Where to? The hospital or the police station?" Bing Tianyi laughed dismissively.
Hearing this, the thief frowned deeply and coldly replied to Bing Tianyi, "Are you saying you don't want to come with me?"
"What’s the matter? What if I go, and what if I don’t?" Bing Tianyi asked with a cold smile.
To be honest, Bing Tianyi looked down on such small characters the most. They acted recklessly and still flaunted their power. He guessed this kid knew he wasn't a match for Old Huang, so now he wanted to take action against him.
After Bing Tianyi finished speaking, the thief slowly approached, pulling out a dagger from his pocket and waving it in front of Bing Tianyi. Then he sneered, "If you come with me, we can talk it out. If not, just look over there; I'll make sure you can't stay in Lan City."
Upon hearing this, Bing Tianyi felt a surge of anger and thought to himself, "Since you want to fight, if I don't fulfill your wish today, you'll probably have some regrets."
With that thought in mind, Bing Tianyi nodded and smiled, "Alright, then I'll go with you."
Seeing Bing Tianyi's response, the thief revealed a smug smile and chuckled softly, "At least you know how to cooperate."
Bing Tianyi glanced at the thief, who looked to be around twenty-three or twenty-four years old, and couldn't help but ask curiously, "I say, brother, aren't you worried that after I go over there, I'll knock out your big teeth?"
The thief shot a glance at Bing Tianyi and replied quietly, "Sure, I’d like to see how you plan to knock out my big teeth."
Bing Tianyi sighed helplessly and forced a smile as he quickened his pace.
Soon enough, they exited through the west side of the square. They found themselves at a construction material market. Just as they stepped outside, seven or eight young men approached them. Seeing this scene, Bing Tianyi couldn't help but ask with a laugh, "I say brother, are these all your subordinates?"
Knowing it was daytime and that he needed to act quickly, the thief didn’t answer Bing Tianyi's question and shouted loudly instead, "That’s the guy! Get him!"
