After hearing this, Bing Tianyi understood that the chairman of Mao Cai Company had relatives in the city government. With such advantageous conditions, it was highly likely that acquiring that piece of land would not be a problem.
However, Bing Tianyi also knew one more thing: the changes that would occur in this county in a few years.

"Boss Bing, we still don't know the situation on their side. Who are we looking for?" Mo Yonggang asked curiously.
Bing Tianyi smiled and said confidently, "Don't worry; following me is definitely the right choice."
Seeing the confident look on Bing Tianyi's face, Mo Yonggang and Old Huang didn't say much more. After all, Bing Tianyi was their superior, and every judgment he had made over the years had been correct. Based on that alone, they had no reason not to follow his lead.
After finishing their meal, Bing Tianyi led Mo Yonggang and Old Huang straight to the Public Security Bureau.
Having lived in this city for five or six years, Bing Tianyi knew every corner well. After about half an hour, he brought Mo Yonggang and Old Huang to the entrance of the Public Security Bureau.
Just as they were about to enter, a security personnel stepped forward and asked, "What do you need?"
"We're here to see Captain Zheng," Bing Tianyi replied directly.
"Come over and register."
Bing Tianyi nodded in agreement, completed a simple registration, and then walked into the police station. After taking a few steps, Mo Yonggang curiously asked Bing Tianyi, "What does Captain Zheng do?"
"You'll find out once we go in. Also, you two should wait outside the office for a bit before going in. I'll let you know when it's time," Bing Tianyi said seriously.
The two nodded in acknowledgment and entered the office building. Bing Tianyi quickly found Captain Zheng's office on the second floor. He knocked on the door, and a deep, powerful voice came from inside, saying, "Come in."
Bing Tianyi pushed the door open. Inside, there was a young man around thirty years old sitting at the desk, dressed in uniform with short hair and a sharp face, exuding an air of integrity.
Bing Tianyi glanced at Zheng Zhang and then quietly asked, "You must be Captain Zheng?"
Zheng Zhang sneered inwardly, thinking that this kid must be out of his mind. Even after coming to his office, he still wanted to confirm?
"What do you need?" Zheng Zhang asked curiously.
"Actually, it's nothing much. I just wanted to get to know you," Bing Tianyi replied as he casually closed the door and sat down in a nearby chair.
Many people had come to Captain Zheng's office before, and as the squad leader of the criminal police team, he had seen all kinds of people. However, he had never encountered someone with such an attitude as Bing Tianyi's.
"Kid, if you have something to report, go think about it elsewhere. This isn't a place for you to mess around," Zheng Zhang said sternly as he resumed reading the documents in his hands.
Hearing this, Bing Tianyi nodded and smiled, "I know that well enough. I'm also aware that messing around in your office could land me in trouble for a few days. However, from what I understand, Captain Zheng is known for being upright and just; you wouldn't lay a hand on someone like me, would you?"
Captain Zheng was taken aback. Looking at Bing Tianyi's age—around eighteen or nineteen—he found it surprising that this kid spoke with the demeanor of someone in their thirties or forties. His thoughts were coherent enough that even someone with years of experience like him couldn't find any faults.
Moreover, it seemed like Bing Tianyi wanted to convey something more with his words. What exactly was this kid up to?
Captain Zheng pondered silently for a moment before putting down his work and looking at Bing Tianyi with curiosity. "Little brother, what exactly do you do?"
"To put it simply, I'm just a student who is about to come to Lan City for school. If I go into more detail, I plan to come to Lan City to do business," Bing Tianyi said with a sincere smile, speaking word by word to Zheng Zhang.
Upon hearing this, Zheng Zhang felt even more confused. He forced a smile on his face and asked Bing Tianyi, "Little brother, if you really have any difficulties that need our help, just say it now. If not, and you're just here to waste time in my office, I advise you to leave sooner rather than later."

"Take care of myself?" Zheng Zhang murmured those four words and quickly raised his head to ask Bing Tianyi, "Wait a minute, what do you mean by take care of myself? Is there someone who intends to harm me?"
Having worked as a criminal police officer for many years in Lan City, Zheng Zhang had naturally offended quite a few people. To be honest, he couldn't go out without worrying at all; that was completely impossible. Moreover, for the safety of his family and to be able to work peacefully in Lan City, Zheng Zhang had no choice but to send his wife and children to live in another province.
This information was something Bing Tianyi had learned from others during his previous time living in Lan City. If it weren't for this knowledge, he wouldn't have come looking for Zheng Zhang today.
"Captain Zheng, do you really want to hear what I have to say?" Bing Tianyi stopped and turned around to look at Zheng Zhang in response.
Zheng Zhang nodded without much thought and said, "Little brother, go ahead. As long as the situation is true, I will definitely reward you."
Bing Tianyi understood that if he directly mentioned the land issue now, it would definitely be unreliable since he wasn't clear on how far this matter had developed.
After a brief consideration, Bing Tianyi sat back down in the chair and looked at Zheng Zhang before quietly saying, "Captain Zheng, you are twenty-nine years old this year. At your age, being able to become a captain is certainly due to your abilities. Also, for the sake of your work and your family's safety, you haven't been home for over a year now, right?"
"Heh heh, most people know these things. What do you mean by saying this?" Zheng Zhang asked with a cold smile.
"Don't rush; let me explain slowly," Bing Tianyi said with a sincere smile on his face. After saying this, he continued: "There's one more thing—it's about the case you've recently taken on: the Yongcheng County Murder Case. There are currently no leads at all; you don't even know where the suspect is. If this case can't be resolved, it seems like you won't be captain for much longer either."
"How do you know about our internal affairs at the police station?" Zheng Zhang frowned and asked, feeling puzzled.
Bing Tianyi chuckled again, "Hehe, Captain Zheng, can you let me finish?"
Zheng Zhang sneered, "Fine, go ahead. I'm listening."
"Of course, these matters are just minor issues leading to your future arrest. The bigger issue concerns a piece of land. I believe Captain Zheng should already know which piece I'm referring to, so I won't elaborate. If this land issue is handled well, I can guarantee that you will have a smooth career ahead. However, if these two matters are not dealt with properly, I can also assure you that in two years, you will face imprisonment," Bing Tianyi said seriously to Zheng Zhang.
Zheng Zhang was stunned upon hearing this. He looked at Bing Tianyi and after a moment, he frowned and asked, "Whose subordinate are you?"
"I'm not anyone's subordinate; I'm just myself. And to be honest, the reason I'm here today is because you have been fairly just as a police officer. I don't want to see you go down the wrong path. If you choose not to listen, then there's no need for me to say anything more," Bing Tianyi continued earnestly.
Zheng Zhang was at a loss for words. This seemingly young kid appeared to know everything. Especially regarding the land issue—someone had approached him that morning and confidently stated that everyone knew about it. But now it seemed that the matter had already been leaked.
After pondering seriously for a few minutes, Zheng Zhang finally looked at Bing Tianyi and said directly, "Alright, state your conditions."
Bing Tianyi smiled inwardly with delight and replied, "There are no conditions."
"No conditions? Are you joking with me?" Zheng Zhang asked curiously.
"Whether I'm joking or not is beside the point. Aren't you looking for the murderer in Yongcheng County? I'll tell you now; just go and arrest the person who reported it," Bing Tianyi said as he stood up and slowly walked over to Zheng Zhang's desk. He picked up a pen and wrote down a phone number on a piece of paper. Turning to leave, he smiled at Zheng Zhang and said, "Once you solve this case, if you're still curious about anything else, feel free to call me."
After saying this, Bing Tianyi pushed the door open and left. Zheng Zhang stood there in a daze, staring blankly at the already departed Bing Tianyi, his mind clouded with confusion.
