The three of them quickly arrived at the fourth floor of the Golden Flower Hotel. After choosing a private room and entering, Director Huang was sitting in a chair with a cheerful smile, his gaze constantly directed at Murong Qing.
Seeing this, Bing Tianyi felt somewhat unhappy. However, looking at Murong Qing, she didn’t seem displeased at all. Instead, she stepped forward to pour a drink for Director Huang and said with a smile, “Director Huang, it’s really generous of you to come here today; you’re giving Bing some face.”
“Not at all, it’s nothing special,” Director Huang replied as he took the glass, intentionally brushing against Murong Qing's hand.
Murong Qing didn’t shy away; instead, she turned to Bing Tianyi and smiled, saying, “Bing, don’t you have something to take care of? Why don’t you go ahead and handle it?”
Bing Tianyi was taken aback. With such a beautiful girl here, he felt uneasy. However, seeing the strange smile on Murong Qing's face, he hesitated for a moment before standing up and saying with a smile, “Oh right, I almost forgot! Director Huang, you two chat; I’ll go take care of some things.”
Director Huang quickly replied, “Sure, go ahead. After Miss Murong and I finish eating, I’ll personally see her back.”
Once Director Huang finished speaking, Bing Tianyi smiled and said, “Then I’ll have to trouble you, Director Huang.”
“Not a problem at all,” Director Huang said while looking at Bing Tianyi with eagerness for him to leave.
Bing Tianyi glanced worriedly at Murong Qing. She wore a confident smile and gestured for him to leave quickly.
After stepping out, Bing Tianyi had no intention of returning to the company. It was already past seven in the evening, and leaving Murong Qing alone with Director Huang in the room made him feel somewhat uneasy.
After some thought, Bing Tianyi decided to book another private room next door and ordered some food for himself. He then took out his phone and sent a text to Murong Qing: “I’m waiting for you in the next room. If anything happens, just shout for me.”
Before long, he received a reply: “Okay, don’t worry.”
Looking at the simple message, Bing Tianyi sighed helplessly and muttered to himself, “Worry? How can I not worry?”
As time passed by, it was already past eight o'clock in the evening. An entire hour had gone by without any sign of Murong Qing coming out of the room. Frowning in thought, just as he was about to get up and check on her in the next room, there was a knock on his door.
He hurriedly went to open it and found Murong Qing standing there with a big smile on her face.
Seeing this, Bing Tianyi quickly invited her in. As she sat down in a chair, he stood beside her and curiously asked while watching her laugh so heartily, “What’s so funny? Did you really enjoy drinking with Director Huang?”
"Ha ha, wait until I finish laughing before you say anything," Murong Qing said, laughing loudly and waving at Bing Tianyi.
Bing Tianyi felt helpless, but seeing the happy smile on Murong Qing's face, he could guess that this matter was likely a success.
"Can you tell me now?" After a moment, seeing Murong Qing sit up straight, Bing Tianyi leaned closer and asked with a smile.
"Alright, listen up. Director Huang just... I just took a few photos of him, and now he has agreed to everything," Murong Qing said, starting to laugh again.
Bing Tianyi was even more curious. Could a few photos really solve this issue?
"I mean, come on, beauty, stop joking around. What kind of photos could have such a big effect?" Bing Tianyi asked tentatively.
Murong Qing didn't think much of it; she took out her phone, opened the photos she had just taken, and handed it to Bing Tianyi.
After seeing the photo of Director Huang and Murong Qing together on the phone, Bing Tianyi couldn't help but laugh. Director Huang had those squinty eyes and was tightly hugging Murong Qing while she was taking selfies continuously.
"You really know how to have fun," Bing Tianyi said with a helpless smile after looking at the photo.
Murong Qing replied lightly, "What's wrong with that? It's much better than you going to school."
After saying this, Bing Tianyi kept asking: “Director Huang didn’t take advantage of you, did he?”
"With someone like him? Ha ha, I could probably handle ten of him," Murong Qing said confidently, appearing a bit tipsy and smiling at Bing Tianyi.
Seeing this, Bing Tianyi felt a bit guilty. After all, whether or not to go to school was his own business, but now he had made this girl who had nothing to do with him run around for his sake. Thankfully, she was quick-witted and didn't suffer any losses; if she had been slow to react and ended up in trouble today, he would have felt uneasy for life.
Thinking of this, Bing Tianyi stood up and bowed deeply to Murong Qing while saying, "Thank you."
Murong Qing looked up at Bing Tianyi with a frown and asked, "Why are you being so polite?"
"I really need to thank you for this. Just tell me what you want; as long as it's within my ability, I will definitely fulfill it," Bing Tianyi promised Murong Qing earnestly.
Murong Qing thought for a moment, a strange smile appearing at the corner of her mouth as she looked at Bing Tianyi and said, "Are you serious?"
"Of course I'm serious," Bing Tianyi replied, almost patting his chest as he spoke.
Seeing the serious smile on Bing Tianyi's face, Murong Qing stood up and said earnestly, "Alright, my request is very simple. How about being my boyfriend for a week?"
"What?" Bing Tianyi was taken aback by this request, staring at Murong Qing in surprise.
Noticing his reaction, Murong Qing furrowed her brows slightly, pouting as she looked at him and said helplessly, "What's wrong? Don't you want to? If you don't want to, then forget it."
As she spoke, she prepared to get up and leave.
Seeing this situation, Bing Tianyi quickly stood up and said, "It's not that I don't want to; it's just that I..."
"It's just what? Aren't you a man? You can't even decide on this little thing?" Murong Qing frowned at Bing Tianyi.
To be honest, ever since Murong Qing came to this company, she initially thought it was ridiculous for someone as young as Bing Tianyi to want to establish a Construction Company. She had no intention of staying here long-term; if it weren't for Chen Huaqiang asking her to help out, she probably wouldn't have come at all.
However, as time went on, Murong Qing gradually realized she was wrong. Although Bing Tianyi looked young, his ability to handle matters and his maturity of thought were not much different from those of adults; in fact, he might even surpass them.
Despite having feelings for Bing Tianyi before, with Chen Qian in the way, she, as Chen Qian's cousin, could never step forward to compete with her sister for a man.
But now that Chen Qian had passed away and Bing Tianyi had been focused on work for so long without considering romantic matters at all, Murong Qing's youthful heart began to flutter.
Of course, Bing Tianyi had long sensed that Murong Qing's feelings for him seemed a bit off. Additionally, during a conversation with Fang Qing about Murong Qing, Fang Qing asserted that Murong Qing liked him. To avoid hurting anyone further, Bing Tianyi intentionally tried to keep some distance from Murong Qing.
However, he never expected that today Murong Qing would directly bring up this matter. Although it was just for seven days as a boyfriend, who knew how long it might extend once they started?
At this moment, seeing the expression on Murong Qing's face, Bing Tianyi didn't know how to refuse or how to agree.
Murong Qing felt a bit speechless. After all, she was older than Bing Tianyi. She thought that after saying this much, Bing Tianyi would definitely nod in agreement, but to her surprise, he was still hesitating.
"Fine, if you don't agree, then forget it. I won't make it difficult for you," Murong Qing said as she turned to leave.
Seeing this, Bing Tianyi hurriedly stepped forward and grabbed Murong Qing's hand, smiling awkwardly as he said, "Who said I don't agree? Just come inside first, and I'll share my thoughts with you."
When Murong Qing saw that Bing Tianyi was willing to compromise, she felt very happy. She quickly pulled his hand and smiled, saying, "So you do agree then?"
"I agree, but this matter must be kept between the two of us; no one else can know," Bing Tianyi said. After finishing his sentence, he worried that Murong Qing might misunderstand, so he quickly added, "Don't get me wrong; I'm only doing this so we can work smoothly together in the company. Otherwise, if others find out..."
Before Bing Tianyi could finish his sentence, Murong Qing laughed and said, "Alright, I know all of this without you saying it."
"Well then, that's good," Bing Tianyi chuckled, though his mind was already in a jumble.
Who would have thought that he would unknowingly become Murong Qing's boyfriend? But thinking about it, perhaps this was a good thing. In the future, his company would definitely develop in other directions, and with him and Murong Qing in a romantic relationship, he could confidently leave things here to her.
On one hand, Murong Qing was well aware of the company's situation; on the other hand, she was quite capable of handling things well. There shouldn't be any issues with her managing the voices here.
Just as Bing Tianyi was lost in these thoughts, Murong Qing's red lips suddenly pressed against his for a kiss.
At first, Bing Tianyi was taken aback, but soon he immersed himself in the sweetness of the moment. The two became entangled with each other, and the room instantly filled with warmth.
Just as they were happily entwined, Bing Tianyi's phone suddenly rang. He quickly released Murong Qing and saw an unfamiliar number on the screen. He thought to himself: "At this time, is that bastard calling?"
