On the playground, Bing Tianyi looked up at the blue sky, secretly contemplating. It was spring, with gentle winds and bright sunshine, yet there was not a single reason for Bing Tianyi to feel happy.
Time passed quickly as Bing Tianyi gazed at the distant peaks. The road ahead was winding and tortuous, but it ultimately led to the horizon.
Where there’s a will, there’s a way; if a boat reaches the bridge, it will naturally straighten out. What was there to worry about? If this continued, wouldn’t he be driven to despair by things that had not even happened yet?
Thinking of this, Bing Tianyi smiled lightly. Turning around, he noticed Wang Ziyan standing not far from him.
"Are you looking for me?" Bing Tianyi asked curiously as he looked at Wang Ziyan.
Upon hearing this, Wang Ziyan frowned and asked curiously, "Did Huang Ke ask his father to find a way to force you to drop out of school?"
"Where did you hear that?" Bing Tianyi asked Wang Ziyan with curiosity.
Wang Ziyan maintained a serious expression and said directly, "Don’t ask where I got the information. Just tell me if it’s true or not."
"Don’t worry, this matter has nothing to do with Huang Ke," Bing Tianyi replied frankly.
Bing Tianyi was not the kind of despicable person who spoke behind others' backs. Moreover, if he admitted it in front of Wang Ziyan, it would be equivalent to lying in front of his own friends. In the end, it would still put his schoolmates at risk of being expelled.
"I don’t believe it. This must have been done by Huang Ke. If it weren’t for him, given your current situation at school, wouldn’t it be easy to maintain things as they were?" Wang Ziyan analyzed thoroughly and stated firmly to Bing Tianyi.
After Wang Ziyan finished speaking, Bing Tianyi smiled wryly and asked, "Even if Huang Ke is behind this, what can you do? Are you going to confront him?"
"Looking for him? Do I really need to? I'll just go find that bastard father of his," Wang Ziyan said, pouting, clearly upset about the situation as she spoke to Bing Tianyi.
Bing Tianyi smiled calmly and replied, "Alright, don't be so angry. It's just a small matter. I can handle it myself."
"Are you going to come to school?"
"What do you think? There are a lot of things waiting for me to deal with outside, and now this kind of trouble has popped up. I either have to beg Director Huang or just drop out," Bing Tianyi said with a feigned sigh.
"Dropping out is definitely not an option. Don't you want to go to college?"
"Sigh... of course I do, but what can I do about it?"
Seeing the worried expression return to Bing Tianyi's face, Wang Ziyan lowered her head in silence. After a moment, she stepped forward and whispered to Bing Tianyi, "I'm sorry, this is all because of me."
Bing Tianyi smiled lightly at Wang Ziyan's words and said, "It's actually not much related to you. However, there is something I really want to ask you. I wonder if you're willing to tell me."
Wang Ziyan noticed the curious look on Bing Tianyi's face and asked, "What is it? Just go ahead and ask."
Bing Tianyi sat down on the nearby steps and smiled at Wang Ziyan, saying, "I want to know what kind of person Ouyang Tian is now that he's at your house. How did he end up there?"
"I'm not very clear about Uncle Ouyang either. When he first came to our house, I didn't know he was Ouyang Xue's father; I only found out later by chance. But he's quite impressive—my father's bodyguards couldn't get close to him at all; there were seven of them in total. Just think about it; ordinary people wouldn't stand a chance against him," Wang Ziyan murmured.
From the way Wang Ziyan spoke, it didn't seem like she was lying. However, how could someone like that suddenly become involved with Wang Ziyan's father's subordinates?
Moreover, Bing Tianyi had heard Old Huang mention before that this guy was most likely a special forces soldier. A special operations team member who doesn't go into battle but instead becomes a bodyguard for a CEO—it's hard not to raise some eyebrows about that.
Bing Tianyi seriously contemplated in his mind, then looked up at Wang Ziyan and smiled, saying, "Alright then, since that's the case, I'll wait for another day to invite him out for a chat."
Seeing Bing Tianyi say this, Wang Ziyan looked at him with curiosity and asked, "What? Are you planning to poach him?"
"Of course not. I just really want to know how he developed such skills," Bing Tianyi casually made up an excuse and smiled at Wang Ziyan.
Wang Ziyan laughed charmingly and said, "So you want to become his apprentice? That's easy. Just ask me, and I'll help you make it happen."
"Ask you? Ask you for what?" Bing Tianyi asked with a wry smile.
"Well, think about it yourself. For example, asking me to be your girlfriend or wife," Wang Ziyan teased.
Bing Tianyi thought for a moment and looked at Wang Ziyan with a helpless smile, saying, "Let's forget about that. If I ask you to be my girlfriend, you'd have to be willing, right? If you're willing, then that's fine; if not, wouldn't I just end up embarrassed?"
"You haven't even asked me yet; how do you know I wouldn't agree?" Wang Ziyan appeared somewhat dejected and frowned at Bing Tianyi.
"Do I really need to ask you? It's obvious without asking," Bing Tianyi understood that what was meant to come would eventually return, and what wasn't meant to be would not come no matter how much he pleaded.
Wang Ziyan snorted coldly, stood up, glared at Bing Tianyi, and said bluntly, "You stubborn blockhead, don't talk to me again in the future."
Seeing this, Bing Tianyi quickly shouted, "Hey, don't go! I haven't offended you that much!"
Wang Ziyan ignored him and turned to leave. At the same time, Wang Peng casually walked over to Bing Tianyi. Noticing Wang Ziyan angrily leaving from beside Bing Tianyi, Wang Peng curiously asked before reaching him, "Brother Bing, what happened? How did you offend her?"
Bing Tianyi helplessly looked at Wang Peng and said with a wry smile, "Alright, just stop asking. Sit down; I have something I want to ask you."
Wang Peng sat next to Bing Tianyi, glanced around, and seeing no teachers nearby, he took a cigarette from his pocket and handed it to Bing Tianyi.
The two lit their cigarettes, and after taking a deep puff, Bing Tianyi curiously asked Wang Peng, "Do you know what Mei Fenfeng has been up to lately?"
Wang Peng looked at Bing Tianyi with curiosity and smiled, "Brother Bing, you two are still in touch?"
Bing Tianyi frowned and said helplessly to Wang Peng, "Stop overthinking it. I just asked casually."
Wang Peng chuckled, stood up to look at the large playground, and murmured softly, "Brother Bing, sometimes I really can't understand you. With your current abilities, don't you think any girl on campus would be easy for you to choose? Why do you have to be involved with that ugly girl?"
Bing Tianyi smiled lightly and sighed to Wang Peng, "Old classmate, it's not that I'm involved with her. There are some things you wouldn't believe even if I told you. Just answer my question; if you know, then fine. If not, then forget it."
After saying this, Bing Tianyi prepared to turn and leave.
Seeing this, Wang Peng quickly said with a smile, "Alright, I said it’s fine! Just sit down first and let me explain slowly."
Bing Tianyi sighed, looking at Wang Peng with helplessness while shaking his head with a smile. He sat back down on the steps and quietly asked Wang Peng, "What’s really going on?"
Wang Peng then spoke up, "Actually, it's nothing much. The main issue is the changes in Mei Fenfeng's family. Her grandfather passed away, and then her mother left because of their poor family conditions. Her father is now in the hospital due to excessive grief."
Seeing that Wang Peng was so well-informed, Bing Tianyi was even more curious and laughed, "I say brother, how do you know all this? Tell me, do you like Mei Fenfeng?"
Wang Peng looked at Bing Tianyi helplessly and said, "Brother Bing, do you really think someone as handsome as me would like that kind of girl?" After a brief pause, he continued softly, "But I do feel sorry for her. It’s one thing to be ugly; surely her family situation should be better? But now with things like this at home, she probably won't be able to continue living like this."
Hearing Wang Peng's words filled with sorrow, Bing Tianyi quickly responded, "Stop talking nonsense. What do you think her family needs the most right now?"
"Money, it must be money. Just think about it, Mei Fenfeng's grandfather spent a lot when he was hospitalized, and now her father is in the hospital again. Their family conditions are not good to begin with, so where would they get so much money to keep sending to the hospital?" Wang Peng said to Bing Tianyi with conviction.
Bing Tianyi thought for a moment and felt that Wang Peng had a point. However, it would definitely be inappropriate for him to send money himself, and he couldn't let Mei Fenfeng know anything about him sending money.
After all, he had just ended things with Mei Fenfeng. If he started contacting her again now, wouldn't that be like walking into a trap?
Thinking of this, Bing Tianyi glanced at Wang Peng in front of him and said with a mischievous smile, "Brother, I need your help with something."
"You want me to send money to Mei Fenfeng, right? If that's the case, I absolutely refuse," Wang Peng quickly replied to Bing Tianyi.
Bing Tianyi frowned and asked Wang Peng irritably, "What's wrong? Are you afraid she'll come after you?"
"Getting chased by her wouldn't be so bad for me. But if she starts pursuing me and offers herself in return, then I'd really be at a loss!" After saying this, Wang Peng turned around and prepared to leave.
Seeing this, Bing Tianyi stood up and shouted sternly at Wang Peng, "Stop right there! You brat, you don't plan on helping me with this little matter?"
Wang Peng smiled wryly and said helplessly, "Big brother, it's not that I don't want to help you. How am I supposed to help you with this?"
Hearing this, Bing Tianyi walked over to Wang Peng's side without hesitation and said firmly, "You have to help me with this matter, whether you want to or not. And you better do it well; otherwise, I won't let you off the hook!"
