After leaving, Bing Tianyi checked the time and realized it was getting late, so he quickly took a taxi with Wang Ziyan to rush to school.
The next day, as the exam began, Bing Tianyi successfully completed all the questions and was carefully reviewing his answers when the director, Wang Bing, arrived at the classroom door. After speaking briefly with the supervising teacher, the supervising teacher turned his gaze towards Bing Tianyi.
"Bing Tianyi, have you finished your exam?"
"I've completed it," Bing Tianyi replied with a smile.
"Director Wang wants to see you for a moment. If you think there are no issues with your exam paper, you can submit it now," the supervising teacher said sternly.
These questions were ones Bing Tianyi had already practiced before, so he had nothing to worry about. He stood up, took his exam paper to the podium, handed it to the supervising teacher, and hurried out.
Standing in front of Wang Bing, Bing Tianyi furrowed his brow and asked, "Director Wang, what’s so urgent?"
"Come to my office for a moment," Wang Bing said quietly, looking troubled.
Bing Tianyi nodded in agreement and followed Wang Bing. Once they arrived at the office, his homeroom teacher, Wan Ying, stood up and curiously asked, "Bing Tianyi, how have you been lately?"
"Ms. Wan, you're too kind. I haven't even asked about you," Bing Tianyi replied somewhat shyly with a smile.
Wan Ying smiled back and said softly to Bing Tianyi, "Alright, please sit down."
In Wan Ying's eyes, she had taught many students at school over the years but had yet to find anyone comparable to Bing Tianyi. Although he was young, his abilities were exceptional. Not only Wan Ying but also other teachers at the school praised Bing Tianyi and referred to him as a prodigy.
Bing Tianyi sat in a nearby chair and curiously asked the two in front of him, "Director Wang, Ms. Wang, is there something urgent that brought me here today?"
"Actually, it's not a big deal. We just wanted to inform you that you will likely need to come to school for classes from now on," Director Wang said somewhat helplessly.
Upon hearing this, Bing Tianyi was completely stunned. Coming to school meant he would have to hand over all the businesses he had just started to someone else. Of course, if those businesses were running smoothly by then, he wouldn't have much to worry about; he could manage other matters during weekends and holidays. But right now, his business was just getting off the ground—like a brick factory that hadn't officially started production yet. If he went to school and something happened there, wouldn't all his recent efforts be in vain?
Thinking of this, Bing Tianyi stood up and looked at Director Wang, curiously asking, "Director Wang, is there something unreasonable about my procedures?"
"Bing Tianyi, you know that you didn't come to school initially and didn't handle any procedures. At first, you said you would take a leave of absence for four to five weeks, and we approved that. However, now you are out there pursuing your own career and not attending classes, only coming back during exam time. This does not comply with the regulations of the Education Bureau," Wang Bing said awkwardly.
Upon hearing the words "Education Bureau," Bing Tianyi looked at Wang Bing and asked curiously, "Director Wang, did Director Huang ask you to talk to me about this?"
"Well..." Wang Bing was taken aback and didn't know what to say.
Seeing this, Wan Ying quickly spoke up with a smile, "Bing Tianyi, don't overthink it. Actually coming to school isn't a bad thing."
"Teacher Wan, I know you're looking out for me, but I can assure you that I can rank in the top ten of my class every time if nothing unexpected happens. And you also know my current situation; my business outside is just starting. If I leave now, wouldn't all those millions in business go to waste?" Bing Tianyi said with a slightly agitated expression, speaking earnestly to both Director Wang and Wan Ying.
The two of them were at a loss for how to respond.
After a long pause, Wang Bing helplessly said, "Let's leave it at that for now. If you come to school, continue your studies; if not, then you should handle your withdrawal procedures."
After saying this, Wang Bing turned and left.
Of course, Wang Bing was largely forced into this situation; if he had any other options, he wouldn't have come to talk to Bing Tianyi. The Education Bureau had personally named Bing Tianyi and pressured him with their orders. Seeing Wang Bing's departing figure, Bing Tianyi smiled helplessly and sat back down in the nearby chair. He turned to Wan Ying and asked, "Teacher Wan, is there really no other way?"
Wan Ying sighed and said, "Given the current situation, Director Wang indeed has no other options. We discussed this before you arrived; after all, this is an order from the Education Bureau. Director Wang has worked hard to get here."
Once Wan Ying finished speaking, Bing Tianyi nodded and said, "I understand that if the head of the Education Bureau weren't involved in this matter, do you think I could still be like before?"
"That's hard to say. Did you have a confrontation with Huang Ke yesterday?" Wan Ying asked with a frown as she looked at Bing Tianyi.
Bing Tianyi smiled awkwardly and quietly replied to Wan Ying, "Teacher, it's a long story. To a large extent, this trouble was caused by Huang Ke's overthinking."
Wan Ying smiled wryly; it was truly difficult for her to understand the current students. After such a long time, she had more or less grasped some of the dynamics between the boys and girls in the class. However, she could understand it, having gone through that age herself.
"I have to talk about you too. You know Huang Ke's family situation; why can't you just endure a little?" Wan Ying sighed after speaking and continued to look at Bing Tianyi, "The only solution now is for you to apologize to Director Huang. Tomorrow after the exam is Friday afternoon, so Director Huang should be at home."
"Is that okay?" Bing Tianyi couldn't help but frown and ask.
Wan Ying still wore the same smile on her face as she shook her head at Bing Tianyi, saying, "I’m not sure if it's okay, but you should give it a try."
"Alright then, I'll go and give it a shot." After saying this, Bing Tianyi smiled at Wan Ying and asked, "Teacher Wan, is there anything else happening in class recently?"
"Nothing much, why?" Wan Ying asked as she noticed the strange smile on Bing Tianyi's face.
Bing Tianyi's face turned slightly red as he whispered to Wan Ying, "I've been in class for two days now; why haven't I seen Mei Fenfeng at school? Has something happened to her?"
"I'm not too sure either. Mei Fenfeng asked for leave a week ago, saying there was something going on at home, so she hasn't come this week," Wan Ying frowned and replied.
To be honest, the two biggest concerns Bing Tianyi had regarding women were Mei Fenfeng and Wang Ziyan. One could be described as stunningly beautiful, while the other seemed like a protective charm when placed against a window. Originally, these two girls were completely incomparable, yet now they had both taken root in his heart.
He felt more indebted towards Mei Fenfeng, while his feelings for Wang Ziyan had transformed from initial hatred to a mix of admiration and resentment. This feeling left Bing Tianyi unsure of how to take the next step forward.
"Alright then, thank you for your trouble, Teacher," Bing Tianyi said politely with a smile at Wan Ying.
Wan Ying nodded and waved her hand, "Okay then, you should go back to the classroom and review your studies. Make sure to read more books at home; work is important, but don't forget to continue enriching yourself with knowledge."
"Thank you for the reminder, Teacher." After saying this, Bing Tianyi turned and left the office.
Once outside, the exam had already concluded. Wang Peng and others were gathered at the office door waiting for Bing Tianyi to come out. When they saw him appear, Wang Peng hurriedly approached and asked, "Brother Bing, what happened? Why did the school look for you?"
"They want me to attend class," Bing Tianyi said with a wry smile as he shook his head.
"What? You want to come to school and attend classes directly? Are you joking? Aren't you going to run your business anymore?" Wang Peng frowned tightly and said, clearly displeased.
"Alright, let's hurry and eat. Don't ask anymore," Bing Tianyi thought about how he should approach Director Huang for a conversation and casually told his brothers nearby.
After Bing Tianyi finished speaking, the brothers nodded in agreement. Suddenly, Wu Zhaojun stepped forward and curiously asked Bing Tianyi, "Brother Bing, is it that Huang Ke's father is coming after you?"
Among this group of brothers, Wu Zhaojun was the sharpest. Seeing the worried expression on Bing Tianyi's face, he quickly guessed the situation.
However, Bing Tianyi did not admit it. He knew that although his brothers usually avoided offending Huang Ke at school, now that Huang Ke was threatening him directly, if Huang Ke came to school, these guys would likely risk expulsion to deal with him.
"No, stop guessing." Bing Tianyi chuckled as he said this. He glanced at Wang Peng and quietly added, "After lunch, come to the playground. I'll wait for you there."
Seeing the strange expression on Bing Tianyi's face, Wang Peng nodded in agreement and turned to head towards the cafeteria.
At this moment, Bing Tianyi felt exceptionally complicated. If this matter couldn't be resolved, who would manage his business?
His father definitely wouldn't do. Even if he could, Bing Tianyi knew his father would never take over his position.
What about Chen Huaqiang? The possibility was slim as well. Ever since Chen Qian passed away, Chen Huaqiang had suddenly left with his wife for another place and hadn't returned since. It was said they were planning to open a factory elsewhere and had no intention of returning to this painful place.
As for the brothers under him, they were even less suitable. First of all, these guys weren't cut out for business; secondly, Bing Tianyi felt somewhat uneasy about them.
