Upon entering, Gou Ping frowned at Qin Qi and asked, "Captain Qin, have you found Qiangzi's hiding place?"
"Not yet," Qin Qi replied with a hint of frustration.
As soon as he finished speaking, Shi Ce, a leader from the Urban Public Security Bureau, looked at Qin Qi and asked, "Are you Chief Qin's eldest daughter, Qin Qi?"
"Hello, Director Shi."
"Indeed, it's true that a Tiger Father Has No Dog Daughter. I didn't expect Captain Qin to be entrusted with such important responsibilities at such a young age. This is truly impressive!" Shi Ce said with a smile to Qin Qi.
Bing Tianyi, standing nearby, felt somewhat speechless. He looked at Shi Ce and curiously asked, "Excuse me, sir, don't you want to catch Qiangzi as soon as possible?"
Shi Ce glanced at Bing Tianyi, who was standing next to Qin Qi, and asked with curiosity, "And who might this be?"
Gou Ping stepped forward to introduce him, saying, "Director Shi, don't underestimate this young man. He's quite remarkable; he opened a Construction Company in our county before turning twenty this year."
"Youth is indeed formidable. It seems Captain Qin has a good relationship with our young handsome guy here?" Shi Ce remarked with a hint of amusement.
Qin Qi felt speechless as well. However, in front of her superiors, she could only suppress her inner frustration and shook her head at Shi Ce, saying, "Our relationship is average. I brought him here today because there's something I need to clarify."
Shi Ce and Gou Ping sat on the sofa, and after Qin Qi finished speaking, they both laughed and said, "Go ahead and tell us."
Just as Qin Qi was about to speak, Bing Tianyi eagerly interjected, "I would like to ask the director to help me find Qiangzi's Ba Zi."
"What on earth is that?" Gou Ping and Shi Ce frowned in confusion and curiously looked at Bing Tianyi.
Bing Tianyi sighed and reiterated slowly for the two of them, "Ba Zi."
Shi Ce and Gou Ping exchanged puzzled looks, their expressions filled with unspoken confusion as they turned to look at Qin Qi.
Seeing this, Qin Qi felt frustrated but had no choice. She quickly stepped forward to explain to them, "Please don't misunderstand. Bing Tianyi has some knowledge of Zhou Yi and came here intending to help us locate Qiangzi."
As soon as she finished speaking, Gou Ping frowned and said, "This is ridiculous. We have so many police officers; how could we not find one person? Besides, what is The Art of Zhouyi? I have never believed in such feudal superstitions."
However, after Gou Ping finished speaking, Shi Ce analyzed from the look in Qin Qi's eyes that she didn't seem opposed to this so-called The Art of Zhouyi. Additionally, he had some knowledge in this area himself. After some thought, Shi Ce smiled at Gou Ping and said, "Director Gou, please don't be upset. The Art of Zhouyi isn't what you think it is. Listening to Shi Ce speak, Bing Tianyi finally felt relieved and thought to himself that he was fortunate today to encounter someone who understood.
What Bing Tianyi didn't know was that Shi Ce said this just to cater to Qin Qi's intentions. Despite the significant difference in their official ranks, Shi Ce naturally held a degree of respect for Qin Qi, especially considering her father's status.
A hint of an awkward smile appeared on Gou Ping's face as he looked at Shi Ce and asked softly, "So, Director Shi, what do you mean?"
"In my opinion, there's nothing wrong with giving him Qiangzi's Ba Zi. We've been investigating for so long; we should at least have Qiangzi's birth date," Shi Ce stated directly.
Once Shi Ce finished speaking, Bing Tianyi quickly nodded and said, "Thank you, Director Shi."
The conversation between Bing Tianyi and Director Shi completely disrupted the plans that Qin Qi had prepared earlier. After Bing Tianyi finished speaking, Gou Ping immediately waved his hand and said, "Captain Qin, go write down what Bing Tianyi needs and bring it here."
Qin Qi frowned, glancing at Bing Tianyi, her face filled with confusion.
Meanwhile, taking advantage of the moment when Shi Ce and Gou Ping were not paying attention, Bing Tianyi made a successful gesture towards Qin Qi. Although she was angry, there was nothing she could do; she could only follow Gou Ping's instructions and step out to prepare the so-called Ba Zi that Bing Tianyi mentioned.
A few minutes later, Qin Qi stepped back inside, holding a piece of paper and handing it to Bing Tianyi.
After glancing at it, Bing Tianyi took out his divination tools, lit three sticks of incense, and began to seriously perform the divination.
Shortly after, Bing Tianyi arrived at a conclusion. Based on the current time and combining it with Qiangzi's Ba Zi, he calculated and then stood up, clapping his hands. He told Qin Qi, "You should take people to the Fortune Telling Hall in Qidaxian to apprehend someone."
Both Gou Ping and Shi Ce, who were still discussing the case seriously, raised their heads upon hearing such a definitive statement from Bing Tianyi, directing their gazes toward him.
However, upon hearing this, Qin Qi let out a disappointed sigh. She had hoped that Bing Tianyi could truly deduce the location where Qiangzi was hiding. To her surprise, he suggested this place instead. They had already investigated this establishment twice since Qiangzi went missing. Did she not know whether or not he was inside?
Unable to contain his curiosity, Gou Ping asked Qin Qi, "Captain Qin, have you checked this Fortune Telling Hall?"
"Yes, we've already checked it twice," Qin Qi replied straightforwardly.
After hearing this, Bing Tianyi, smiling, said, "Since you've already been there twice, I don't think one last visit would hurt. You might as well take some people and check it out thoroughly."
Qin Qi frowned and curiously asked Bing Tianyi, "Are you so sure that Qiangzi is hiding in this club?"
The implication was undoubtedly questioning Bing Tianyi about why he was so determined to confront this establishment. Bing Tianyi understood this as well; once Qin Qi finished speaking, he replied with a smile, "Both directors are here now. I won't leave; you take your team over to check it out. If the person isn't at that club, then you can handle it however you like."
Qin Qi felt somewhat confused. As a police officer, she shouldn't be believing in such things. However, seeing the serious expression on Bing Tianyi's face made her unable to question him further.
After a moment, Qin Qi turned her gaze to Gou Ping in front of her.
Gou Ping felt helpless; he was also at a loss. He glanced at Shi Ce beside him, who nodded and said with a smile, "Then you two should investigate further and take it seriously."
Qin Qi nodded and, after stepping out the door, muttered to herself, "What is this nonsense? Thinking they can solve our case with just a few coins. What do they need us police for then?"
She dialed a number to gather police forces and headed towards the fortune-telling club in displeasure.
Meanwhile, Bing Tianyi sat on the sofa, aimlessly looking out the window. After a few seconds, he turned to Gou Ping and asked, "Director Gou, do you have anything fun here?"
Gou Ping looked at this audacious young man and truly didn't know if he was so capable that he could act so recklessly or if he was just a bit dim-witted and had always been like this.
"What do you want to play?" Gou Ping asked.
"It would be best if you have chess," Bing Tianyi replied directly with a smile.
"We do," Gou Ping said as he retrieved a box from under the table and handed it to Bing Tianyi.
Bing Tianyi quickly dumped the chess pieces onto the floor and set up the board. An idea struck him as he looked at Gou Ping and Shi Ce and asked, "Which of you is better at chess?"
"You can play by yourself; we have important matters to attend to," Gou Ping said with a resigned smile.
However, Shi Ce appeared quite confident. He seemed to believe in Bing Tianyi's earlier divination and smiled at him, saying, "I don't know much about it, but I can play with you for fun."
It seems that Shi Ce is quite confident in his chess skills. While speaking, he crouched down on the ground.
Bing Tianyi set up the chessboard and smiled at Shi Ce, saying, "You go first."
Shi Ce nodded and replied with a smile, "Then I won't hold back."
Just as Shi Ce was about to make his move, Bing Tianyi waved his hand and said with a grin, "Wait a minute, how about a game for five hundred bucks?"
Shi Ce smiled wryly, thinking that this kid has quite the audacity, trying to win money from him. After all, he was the runner-up in the chess competition held by their police station last year.
"Sure," Shi Ce said without much thought, nodding with a smile.
Bing Tianyi was overjoyed, and the two began to make their moves. Meanwhile, Gou Ping, witnessing this scene, was completely speechless. The suspect was still at large, and there was no progress on the case, yet his superior was playing chess with a child.
"Director Shi, what about this case?" Gou Ping asked anxiously after waiting for more than ten minutes.
At that moment, Shi Ce had only two knights and one rook left. Moreover, judging from Bing Tianyi's earlier comments, he was confident that Qin Qi would definitely capture Qiangzi and bring him to justice, so there was really nothing to worry about.
Hearing Gou Ping's inquiry, Shi Ce quickly waved his hand and said, "Stop making noise and come over to learn."
