In the afternoon, Bing Tianyi personally delivered the money to Yang Tie and the family of the deceased, accompanied by his brothers.
A total of five hundred thousand was given. Although this amount could not compare to a life, it represented Bing Tianyi's heartfelt intentions. After all, he was just starting out; even though the project he was working on would be completed in three months, his income during this period had been minimal. Watching the building change every day, Bing Tianyi constantly hoped that once he secured the project funds, he could finally breathe easy.
Yang Tie and his group initially thought this matter had nothing to do with Bing Tianyi. Given their previous antics at the Brick Factory and the hospital, they believed this young man would not give them a single cent.
However, when they received the five hundred thousand from Bing Tianyi, tears streamed down the faces of the deceased's wife and Yang Tie.
"Mr. Bing, we shouldn't take so much money from you; you are not responsible for this," Yang Tie said, choking back tears as he hurriedly approached Bing Tianyi from behind after discussing with the relatives.
Bing Tianyi turned around and smiled, saying, "It's fine. Take this money and let the child study well. Who knows, maybe one day when our company needs talent, that child will meet me."
After saying this, Bing Tianyi turned and left.
As he walked out of the police station, Bing Tianyi felt a pang of sadness but felt powerless to change anything.
Around eight in the evening, Bing Tianyi made a reservation and called Qin Qi to come over.
The long wait made him feel a bit bored. As he looked around, he unexpectedly spotted a familiar figure not far away.
He stood up and walked over, smiling as he asked, "Yang Qian, you're here too?"
After more than three months of recovery, Yang Qian's injuries had nearly healed. Seeing Bing Tianyi approach, Yang Qian frowned and asked, "Mr. Bing, what are you doing here?"
Bing Tianyi glanced at a few young men around Yang Qian and smiled sincerely as he quietly said to him, "Brother, after you're done here, can you come sit with me for a bit?"
"Sure! If Mr. Bing invites me, it would be rude not to go," Yang Qian replied with a hint of sarcasm, indicating some lingering misunderstandings about Bing Tianyi.
Bing Tianyi nodded in agreement just as Qin Qi approached from a distance. Seeing Bing Tianyi talking with someone else, Qin Qi walked over and smiled at him, saying, "Tianyi, why did you invite so many friends?"
"No, they are just people I ran into recently; we are at that table," Bing Tianyi explained while pointing to a nearby table.
Qin Qi nodded and smiled as she approached the table reserved for them with Bing Tianyi, where they sat facing each other. Bing Tianyi looked at Qin Qi, who had changed out of her uniform into casual attire, and silently praised her in his heart: "She truly is a beauty, elegant and graceful, yet with an air of awe that makes her stand out as a unique beauty."
Upon catching Bing Tianyi's gaze, Qin Qi felt a blush creeping onto her face. She looked at him and said softly, "At such a young age, why do you always seem a bit lecherous?"
Hearing this, Bing Tianyi chuckled inwardly: "Good thing she doesn't know I've been single for over twenty years; if she did, she'd probably be scared off by now."
A youthful face wore a somewhat mischievous smile. After Qin Qi finished speaking, Bing Tianyi pretended to be embarrassed and said, "I guess it's because I'm still young; seeing a beautiful woman makes my heart race."
"Good thing you're young. If you were a bit older, I really wouldn't dare to go on a date with you like this," Qin Qi laughed heartily, her words laced with a hint of teasing.
"Really? How could someone as honest as me make you feel that way about such a stunning beauty?" Bing Tianyi replied, leaning closer to Qin Qi.
Seeing this, Qin Qi smiled helplessly and said, "Alright, stop calling me 'stunning beauty.' Just call me 'sister' from now on; after all, I'm older than you."
Bing Tianyi internally sighed; he was already twenty-five this year while she was only twenty-four. What did she mean by being older?
However, he kept his thoughts to himself and simply nodded with a smile. "Sure! With an older sister like you around, I won't have to worry about any little rascals bothering me."
Qin Qi knew that Bing Tianyi was joking. Reflecting on their time together, she realized how far he had come from being a high school student to becoming the head of a construction company. It would have been impossible without some connections in society.
"Don't worry; I've got your back on that," Qin Qi said with a smile. But then her expression suddenly turned serious as she sighed and quietly said to Bing Tianyi, "Tianyi, there's something I want to ask you. I hope you're willing to share."
Seeing the change in Qin Qi's demeanor, Bing Tianyi seemed to have guessed what was coming. His smile faded as he replied softly, "Just ask whatever you need to know. If I can tell you, I will."
"What exactly is going on between you and Chen Qian?" Qin Qi couldn't contain her curiosity and asked seriously.
Although Qin Qi was a police officer, she was also very concerned about social matters. Recently, the most talked-about topic in their small county was the marriage between Bing Tianyi and Chen Qian, along with the circumstances surrounding Chen Qian's death.
After Chen Qian's death, the Chen family did not provide any explanations to the public. They simply held a regular funeral and cremated her before burying her.
Thus, many outsiders believed there was something suspicious about Chen Qian's death. The most widely circulated rumor was that Bing Tianyi had killed Chen Qian for financial gain after marrying her.

Faced with the inquiry, Bing Tianyi quickly recalled the beautiful figure of Chen Qian in his mind.
"Sister Qin, can we skip this question?" Bing Tianyi said softly, his expression pained.
Seeing this, Qin Qi was at a loss for what to do. After a moment of silence, she continued to ask quietly, "Don't you know what people outside are saying about you?"
"I do."
"Then don't you want to clarify things for yourself?" Qin Qi pressed on.
Bing Tianyi lowered his head and smiled bitterly. "The innocent will clear themselves, while the guilty will remain muddied. Just like when we usually do divination for others; unless absolutely necessary, we won't help them predict their fortunes. Right now, I'm just being suspected by others. Why should I step forward to explain?"
Qin Qi couldn't understand Bing Tianyi's mindset. She sighed and murmured, "Tianyi, I think it's better for you to step forward and clarify things; otherwise, it won't be good for your business."
"It's fine; business is dead, but people are alive. If business is bad, I can find ways to make it better!" Bing Tianyi maintained his previous attitude, speaking each word deliberately.
"Then if I want to know the truth, will you tell me?" Qin Qi continued to frown and ask.
Bing Tianyi let out a breath, raised his head to look at Qin Qi and said, "If you really want to know, I will tell you."
"Alright then, go ahead."
Bing Tianyi felt helpless; he thought that after saying this much, Qin Qi would surely stop asking further questions. But unexpectedly, this girl was determined to get to the bottom of things.
He had thought this matter could remain buried in his memory forever, but now it was being dug up again.
With that thought in mind, Bing Tianyi picked up his glass and took a sip. After putting down the glass, he recounted the entire story behind the incident to Qin Qi.
After listening, even this usually strong woman had slightly moist eyes.
If it were an adult doing such a thing, Qin Qi would find it understandable. After all, Bing Tianyi is just a newly turned seventeen-year-old child, yet he is so loyal and righteous. Isn't this kind of man exactly the prince charming she dreams of?
However, looking at Bing Tianyi's youthful and innocent face, Qin Qi couldn't help but smile. He is still a child, while she is already twenty-four years old. How could the two of them possibly be together?
Bing Tianyi remained silent for a long time before raising his head and noticing the unusual look in Qin Qi's eyes. He then asked with a smile, "Sister Qin, what are you thinking about?"
Qin Qi quickly snapped out of her thoughts and shook her head at Bing Tianyi, saying, "Nothing... nothing at all. I just think it's such a pity for you and Chen Qian."
Bing Tianyi sighed with a wry smile, "There's nothing we can do about it; it's just how unfair fate can be."
At this point, another question troubled Qin Qi. After serious consideration, she asked again, "Tianyi, aren't you good at divination? Haven't you ever predicted how far you and Chen Qian could go?"
"As a genuine diviner, we have our own rules. A diviner must never read their own fortune and should not frequently read for close relatives either. This not only brings misfortune to oneself but may also harm family members. So before this, I never read for myself or Chen Qian," Bing Tianyi explained earnestly.
Upon hearing this, Qin Qi nodded in understanding.
Just then, Yang Qian approached with a few rowdy friends who appeared to be noticeably drunk, stumbling as they walked.
Seeing this, Bing Tianyi leaned closer to Qin Qi and whispered, "Sister Qin, please don't say anything for now; I'll handle these guys."
"Is that okay?" Qin Qi asked with some concern.
After saying this, she saw a confident smile spread across Bing Tianyi's face as he nodded and replied, "Don't worry."
