As soon as they stepped out, just when Bing Tianyi and Nan Hao were about to get into the car and leave, a vehicle sped past them from behind.
The crowd around them couldn't help but shout, "Watch out!"
Several girls standing nearby were so frightened by the scene that their faces turned pale, staring wide-eyed at the car as it crashed directly into the crowd next to Bing Tianyi and Nan Hao.
Hearing the roar of the car behind him, Bing Tianyi jumped back in a panic. The car was less than five centimeters away from his body before it crashed into his own vehicle.
Seeing this scene, Bing Tianyi was completely stunned, his eyes wide open.
"Nan Hao, Brother Nan Hao, please... don't scare me." Bing Tianyi looked at Nan Hao lying in a pool of blood, his heart jolted, and he hurriedly went over to help him up and asked.
"Brother Bing, I think... I think I won't make it. Just be careful in the future. Also, I want to tell you something: I've always considered you my own brother."
"Brother Nan Hao, don’t say that. I’ll take you to the hospital right away." Bing Tianyi said as he took out his phone, his hands trembling as he prepared to dial emergency services.
At that moment, Nan Hao struggled to extend his hands and looked at Bing Tianyi softly saying, "Bing, it's okay. Remember to transfer all my money to my family back home. Duck Brother knows where we live."
"You’re not going to die; you definitely won’t." As Nan Hao spoke, he shouted loudly into the phone, "Help! Hurry up and send someone!"
But after shouting those words, Nan Hao lost all sensation and collapsed onto the ground.
Bing Tianyi's gaze was vacant as he looked at Nan Hao on the ground, his heart in turmoil. Reflecting on how short a time they had known each other, he realized that during this time, Nan Hao had been of immense help to him.
Just when they were about to reap their rewards together, unexpectedly, Nan Hao would lose his life!
Bing Tianyi, unwilling to accept this reality, quickly picked up Nan Hao, who was lying in a pool of blood on the ground, and shouted, "Who has a car? Please take him to the hospital, I beg you!"
The pedestrians by the roadside exchanged glances; none of them were willing to help in such a situation.
Firstly, they had already seen that Nan Hao had passed away. Putting a dead person in a car would inevitably bring bad luck. Secondly, if things went wrong later, they might get blamed for it, which would be troublesome.
After shouting a few times with no response, Bing Tianyi decided to carry Nan Hao and head straight to the nearby hospital.
After jogging for about seven or eight minutes, an ambulance finally drove through the crowded road. Without thinking much, Bing Tianyi dashed into the middle of the road and shouted loudly, "Stop! Stop!"
The ambulance driver slammed on the brakes and hurriedly helped Bing Tianyi place Nan Hao into the vehicle.
At the hospital morgue, Bing Tianyi sat alone beside Nan Hao's body, his eyes vacant. To be honest, he really didn't know how to move forward from here.
He had thought that Nan Hao could help him continue on his path, but who would have thought that such a young life could be lost so suddenly?
However, soon Bing Tianyi couldn't help but doubt his own skills in divination.
Thinking about it, with his current abilities, it shouldn't have been too difficult to see through someone else's life and death. But Nan Hao had been by his side every day; how did he not notice any signs of impending doom?
Could it all be an elaborate trick? Was the divination he had pursued for so long merely a deceptive art?
"Impossible! Absolutely impossible! There must be a reason behind this! There must!" Bing Tianyi exclaimed as he stood up and began pacing beside Nan Hao's body.
"Tianyi, you've been here all night. Why don't you come out and eat something?" Mother Bing said softly to her son, her eyes filled with tears.
Bing Tianyi waved his hand, his face filled with sadness.
Seeing this, Mother Bing immediately turned and left the room.
In fact, Mother Bing had heard some things about Nan Hao helping Bing Tianyi, but she never expected that Nan Hao's death would cause Bing Tianyi such pain.
Of course, to a large extent, Bing Tianyi was not only grieving for Nan Hao's death but also contemplating how he should proceed on his own path.
He knew nothing about business; most matters were handled by Nan Hao and Mo Zhigang. Moreover, he lacked experience in social situations. When faced with emergencies, his actions were never as thoughtful as Nan Hao's.
Take the last time when they were set up by Qiangzi in that courtyard; if it weren't for Nan Hao asking when the police would arrive, they would have likely been thrown out of the village that day!
A good man needs three helpers; wanting to go solo and carve out a place in today's society was simply impossible.
Time quickly passed into the deep night. Being only human, after a sleepless night, Bing Tianyi felt extremely tired and unknowingly drifted off to sleep in a chair nearby.
"Old man, you con artist! How dare you come looking for me?" When Bing Tianyi saw the old monk holding the cigarette he had given him during their first meeting and carrying wontons in his hand, he was furious and stood up to walk directly toward the old monk.
"Hey kid, don't rush. Take your time and explain everything to me," the old monk said as he somehow produced a chair from somewhere and sat down across from Bing Tianyi, looking curious.
"I've learned a third of my calculations now; I should be able to see life and death, right? But why is it that Nan Hao has been by my side almost every day, yet I couldn't foresee his disaster?" Bing Tianyi asked angrily.
The old monk puffed on the cigarette, glanced at Bing Tianyi, rubbed his bald head with a look of disdain in his eyes, and then asked Bing Tianyi, "What did you say? With your current state, you’ve learned a third?"
"Then how much do you think I can learn now?" Bing Tianyi asked helplessly.
"I think I mentioned before that this book covers three realms. The first realm is helping others with divination, which is what you refer to as seeing through life and death, disasters, and misfortunes. The next step is to help people change their fortunes. Listen carefully, it's not just about making someone avoid misfortune; it's about changing it! This is the first type. Only when you have fully integrated these two types will you truly understand the first realm," the old monk said with a cold smile.
Bing Tianyi felt somewhat confused. He glanced at the old monk and then asked, "What about the second and third realms?"
"The second realm involves using the foundational knowledge of the I Ching, integrating the five elements of Earth, and then you can change the timing of fortunes, determine the Dragon Vein, alter Feng Shui, and arrange patterns," the old monk explained patiently.
"Is it even more powerful than the first?" Bing Tianyi couldn't help but ask.
"Of course! Do you know how important determining the Dragon Vein is?"
"I don't know," Bing Tianyi replied with a cold smile.
"In life, if you can position your home above the Dragon Vein, your descendants will surely have a true dragon born within a hundred years. And when it comes to altering Feng Shui, listen carefully: this is about changing, not just observing. Ordinary Feng Shui observation can only follow intangible principles to make calculations based on direction. But altering Feng Shui is entirely different; a place of black evil can be transformed into a treasure land through secret techniques. If you can learn such abilities, I can't say you'll benefit all people, but benefiting your own region is certain," the old monk said earnestly.
Bing Tianyi listened in confusion; after all, he had only skimmed through this book and did not possess the same level of understanding as the old monk.
"Haha, according to your reasoning, even the second realm would be enough to defy heaven. Wouldn't the third realm be able to bring the dead back to life?" Bing Tianyi looked at the old monk and said with a helpless smile.
Bing Tianyi thought that while there might be some truth in what the old monk said about ancient wisdom derived from thousands of years of experience in I Ching studies, science was still science; bringing the dead back to life was certainly impossible.
However, unexpectedly, after Bing Tianyi finished speaking, the old monk coldly laughed and said to him, "With your attitude, do you really think you can learn the Third Realm?"
"Why? Am I not capable?" Bing Tianyi asked curiously.
"To be honest with you, if the Third Realm is truly reached, then coming back from the dead is just a small trick. However, my master's master has never attained this level. As for me, I have only learned one-tenth of the second realm," the old monk said with a bitter smile.
This statement left Bing Tianyi stunned. He stood there for a long time, looking at the old monk before finally asking, "Why can't one practice to reach this level?"
"Alright, I'll explain that to you slowly when I have time. For now, remember this: Nan Hao's cause of death is simple; he died for you. Originally, the calamity was meant for you, but your fate is too strong. However, this is all destiny; you need not feel guilty. In the future, when you become prosperous, do more good deeds. Also, visit my old rental place often and remember to bring me some good food and drinks instead of making me come find you," the old monk said with a smile as he turned to walk out.
Hearing this, Bing Tianyi quickened his pace to catch up with the old monk and hurriedly asked, "Aren't you already dead?"
"Of course not! Otherwise, I would have stayed at your house without leaving," the old monk shot a glare at Bing Tianyi before quickly disappearing.
Bing Tianyi called out, "Wait! Don't go yet; I still have something to say!"
"Tianyi, what's wrong? Don't scare us!"
As Bing Tianyi opened his eyes, he found Mother Bing repeatedly patting his shoulder, her face pale and anxious as she asked him.
Bing Tianyi frowned and glanced at Morgue's door, murmuring softly, "Where did the old monk go?"
"What old monk? Are you possessed?" Mother Bing asked in confusion.
It was then that Bing Tianyi realized it had all been a dream. With that thought in mind, he got up and looked at Nan Hao's body on the bed. He quietly said to Duck Brother, who was standing nearby and secretly crying, "Duck Brother, please take care of Nan Hao's funeral arrangements. No matter how much it costs, bill it to the company. Also, do you know where Nan Hao's family lives? Quickly inform them so they can see him one last time. Then transfer all of Nan Hao's savings from his account to his family's account. Additionally, arrange for one million as a settlement from the company in my name for Nan Hao."
