Bing Tianyi got up to say goodbye and quickly took a car towards West District after leaving the bar.
To his surprise, after getting in the car, he found Wang Peng and Wu Zhaojun already inside. Upon seeing Bing Tianyi, Wang Peng immediately shouted, "Big Brother, what are you doing here?"
Hearing Wang Peng's voice, Bing Tianyi turned around and moved closer to him. Wang Peng quickly stood up to give up his seat. Bing Tianyi placed his hand on Wang Peng's shoulder and smiled, "You stay seated, brother. Why didn't you guys go to school today?"
In response to Bing Tianyi's question, Wang Peng glanced at Wu Zhaojun. At that moment, Wu Zhaojun looked at Bing Tianyi with a bitter smile and said, "We went to see Big Brother off."
"Big Head has come back?"
"Yes," Wu Zhaojun replied with a somewhat sad expression.
Bing Tianyi also knew that Big Head seemed to have some family connection with Wu Zhaojun, and he felt a bit awkward about the situation, so he didn't say much more.
Upon arriving at the bridgehead in West District, the three of them got out of the car. Wu Zhaojun looked at Wang Peng and quietly said, "Brother, why don't you accompany Big Brother for a while? I'll head to the funeral home first."
Wang Peng actually didn't want to go see Big Head off; he thought that places like funeral homes were too ominous. Hearing Wu Zhaojun say this, Wang Peng quickly replied, "Alright then, we'll contact each other after you're done."
Wu Zhaojun nodded in agreement, said goodbye to Bing Tianyi, and hurriedly left.
At this moment, Wang Peng looked at Bing Tianyi with a cheerful smile and said, "Big Brother, when are you coming back to school? It's really lively there now."
As Bing Tianyi walked forward, he asked Wang Peng with a smile, "How lively is it?"
"Our Lion King has already taken control of the First Year and Sophomore grades; now we just need to conquer the Senior Year. We originally planned to make them submit, but Wu Ge said they have exams coming up soon and advised us not to disturb them," Wang Peng said with a hint of disappointment as he spoke about the latter part.
Seeing this, Bing Tianyi nodded and said, "Wu Zhaojun is doing quite well with this matter. Is there anything else?"
"Do you remember Su Qin from school?" Wang Peng asked Bing Tianyi with some curiosity.
Bing Tianyi certainly remembered. If it weren't for Su Qin, he might still be obediently attending classes at school and wouldn't have gotten involved with Chen Qian, so how could he possibly forget this girl?
"What's up?" Bing Tianyi quickly asked.
"Last time she got beaten by my sister-in-law, and now she's planning to get revenge. But it seems my sister-in-law isn't concerned about these matters anymore and has handed her position over to a girl named Xiaoyan."
As soon as Wang Peng finished speaking, Bing Tianyi incredulously asked, "Who did you say? What was her name?"
Seeing the questioning expression on Bing Tianyi's face, Wang Peng looked a bit innocent as he stood there and quietly said, "Xiaoyan, I think she's Wang Bing's daughter."
Upon hearing this, Bing Tianyi couldn't help but laugh bitterly. He never expected that Chen Qian had really changed.
After taking a few steps forward, Bing Tianyi continued to ask Wang Peng, "What else? Keep going."
Wang Peng nodded, glancing at Bing Tianyi's expression before continuing, "After Su Qin found out that my sister-in-law had given her position to Xiaoyan, she actually went to cause trouble for my sister-in-law. In the end, we scared Su Qin off, so she didn't succeed. However, I believe Su Qin won't just let it go."
Noticing that Wang Peng seemed hesitant to continue, Bing Tianyi immediately prompted him, "If you have something to say, just say it."
Wang Peng nodded and straightforwardly told Bing Tianyi, "I think we should let my sister-in-law come back into action. That way you can rule the boys at school while she rules the girls; how powerful would that be?"
Bing Tianyi chuckled to himself, thinking that he didn't have time for such childish games at school anymore. The entire West District was about to be his; not to mention this small school?
However, he didn't express this thought to Wang Peng and merely replied with a low laugh, "What do you mean come back? You all should focus on studying; that's the right path."
"We know that, but it's fine to have some fun too," Wang Peng said with a smile.
At that moment, Bing Tianyi suddenly remembered someone. After a brief hesitation, he finally asked Wang Peng, "How is Mei Fenfeng doing now?"
"Her? Don't even mention it. Even the teachers at school say Mei Fenfeng seems to have gone crazy."
Seeing Wang Peng say this, Bing Tianyi quickly asked, "What happened? This girl was fine, how could she possibly be crazy?"
"Studying, of course. She's been studying like mad every day, coming to the classroom to read at around four in the morning and not resting until midnight. Even during lunch, she's in the dormitory studying," Wang Peng said, a disdainful smile appearing on his lips. He then sneered, "It looks like she's been stimulated by something. If she keeps this up, her life will really be ruined."
Bing Tianyi fell silent at this moment; he didn't expect Mei Fenfeng to actually want to be first in class for his sake.
Feeling helpless, Bing Tianyi felt even more indebted to Mei Fenfeng. The incident of her jumping off the building before his suicide had already cast a huge shadow in his heart, and now, if Mei Fenfeng were to go crazy because of him, perhaps others wouldn't know the reason behind it, but Bing Tianyi knew he would never find peace in his heart for the rest of his life.
Thinking of this, Bing Tianyi looked at Wang Peng and said softly, "Brother, can you help me with something?"
"What is it?" Wang Peng asked curiously.
"The day after tomorrow is Saturday. Can you ask Mei Fenfeng to wait for me at Shuangfeng around noon?"
Upon hearing this from Bing Tianyi, Wang Peng scratched his head with his right hand, frowned, and looked at Bing Tianyi with a wry smile. "Big brother, you’re not joking, are you?"
Bing Tianyi felt helpless as well; he knew that what he was doing would definitely raise misunderstandings with Wang Peng and others. But after all, Mei Fenfeng had done nothing wrong. If something happened to her because of him, that would make him a terrible person.
With this in mind, Bing Tianyi explained to Wang Peng, "Don't think too much about it. I just don't want everyone I know to go down the wrong path, so I want to try and guide her."
"Big brother, if your wife finds out about this, it might be a bit hard to explain," Wang Peng said quietly.
Hearing this, Bing Tianyi sighed helplessly. "I think Chen Qian should understand my intentions." After saying this, Bing Tianyi looked up at the blue sky but quickly lowered his head and told Wang Peng, "But you must not tell anyone else about this. If others find out, it will definitely be traced back to you."
Wang Peng was left speechless upon hearing this; a bitter smile appeared on his face as he murmured to Bing Tianyi, "Big brother, what you're doing is a bit underhanded."
"I don't care; just keep it a secret for me."
"Alright."
Wang Peng nodded as the two of them walked in front of the cinema under construction in the West District. Only then did Wang Peng curiously ask Bing Tianyi, "Big Brother, I haven't asked what you're planning to do here?"
"Looking for someone."
"Who?"
"Do you know where Big Head's woman, Xia Rong, lives?" Bing Tianyi asked Wang Peng with curiosity.
A mischievous smile appeared on Wang Peng's face as he asked Bing Tianyi, "Big Brother, you’re not interested in some mistress, are you?"
"Get lost. I have serious business to discuss with her," Bing Tianyi retorted.
Wang Peng chuckled and said directly to Bing Tianyi, "To be honest, this woman is not someone just anyone can handle. She graduated in law and was taken care of by Big Head right after graduation. I heard she gets around two hundred thousand cash every month. You know, in our county, even the County Party Secretary doesn't earn that much. But later, it seems Xia Rong got involved with Big Head's subordinate, Wang Zhiqing, and ultimately lost her life because of it."
As soon as he finished speaking, Wang Peng turned to Bing Tianyi and asked, "Big Brother, you should know about this, right? Why are you asking me now?"
"I don't know anything. Just tell me if you know where she lives," Bing Tianyi replied.
Wang Peng thought for a moment and then said, "Huaxi Town, Kangshun Villa Complex. She should be there."
"Let's go find her," Bing Tianyi said as he walked to the roadside to hail a taxi.
At that moment, Wang Peng quickly spoke up, "Big Brother, are you really going?"
"Stop dawdling and just come with me."
The two got into the car, and after about twenty minutes, they arrived at the entrance of Kangshun Villa Complex. The environment here was elegant, relatively close to the county town and near the countryside, with fresh air making it a popular choice for many wealthy people in recent years.
After getting off the car, Bing Tianyi bought some cheap seasonal fruits from a nearby fruit stand. Holding them in his hand, he whispered to Wang Peng beside him, "When we find her later, don't say too much."
Wang Peng quickly nodded and replied, "Don't worry, big brother, I know."
Bing Tianyi nodded. After more than ten minutes, they finally found out where Xia Rong was. Just as Bing Tianyi approached the door, he heard the roar of a Tibetan Mastiff from the yard.
Hearing this, Bing Tianyi was taken aback and stood about four or five meters from the entrance. He looked at Wang Peng and smiled, "Brother, go open the door."
Seeing Bing Tianyi say this, Wang Peng quickly shook his head and said, "Big brother, don't joke around. I have three fears since I was young: first is women, second is heights, and third is dogs."
Bing Tianyi couldn't help but smile bitterly. With no other choice, he shouted at the door, "Sister Xia, are you home?"
As soon as he finished speaking, Xia Rong's voice came from the yard: "Kitty, stop calling."
Upon hearing this, both Bing Tianyi and Wang Peng were left stunned; that certainly did not sound like a cat's call!
Xia Rong opened the door and saw Bing Tianyi. She was momentarily taken aback but quickly smiled at him and said, "Little brother, come in quickly."
"The dog in the yard?" Bing Tianyi glanced into the yard and asked Xia Rong with some fear.
Xia Rong's pale face revealed a hint of a smile as she softly reassured Bing Tianyi, "Don't worry, with me here, the kitty won't dare to bite."
