Seeing the forced painful smile on Xiao Wang's face, Bing Tianyi frowned and lifted his head to look at Big Head in the distance, but that guy had already disappeared into the water.
Realizing the situation, Bing Tianyi could only step forward and take the phone out of Xiao Wang's pocket, dialing the emergency number.
After explaining the situation, Bing Tianyi looked at the barely conscious Xiao Wang and felt even more worried.
After thinking for a few seconds, Bing Tianyi said directly to Xia, "Let's row the boat to the shore."
Seeing Bing Tianyi say this, Xia quickly asked, "Aren't you afraid of those thugs over there?"
Bing Tianyi replied firmly, "Don't worry, I have a plan."
With that, Bing Tianyi began to row the boat toward the shore.
At that moment, Xiao Wang weakly said to Bing Tianyi, "Little brother, I think I'm done for. You shouldn't go over there; it could be very dangerous..."
"Don't talk right now; let me take a look at you." Saying this, Bing Tianyi dropped the oars and moved next to Xiao Wang. He turned Xiao Wang over to face the sky and then took off his shirt, tearing it into strips before using all his strength to tightly wrap around Xiao Wang's legs above the knees.
Although Bing Tianyi had not learned any professional medical methods, he understood this simplest solution somewhat.
Once Xiao Wang's legs were wrapped up, the bleeding significantly decreased.
Bing Tianyi glanced at the shore and was surprised to see more than thirty brothers suddenly appear. He remembered that when he was brought here, there were only three people; now so many had suddenly shown up, which made Bing Tianyi's scalp tingle.
However, in order to save someone, he didn't have time to think too much. He quickly moved to the back of the boat and began to row with Xia.
The group of brothers watched intently at the situation on the water. When Bing Tianyi and Xia finally rowed the boat to shore, a middle-aged man with a buzz cut approached them energetically.
"What’s going on?" the man asked in a deep voice.
Due to several turns in the reservoir, it was impossible to detect what was happening downstream. However, the muffled gunshot was clear enough for this group to hear.
Seeing the man inquire, Bing Tianyi mustered his courage and said directly, "Can't you see? Brother Wang has been shot. Hurry up and get him to the hospital."
Upon hearing this, the man glared at Bing Tianyi and stepped onto the boat. He glanced at Xiao Wang's injury on his leg and then quietly asked, "Where is the boss?"
"Fishing down below," Bing Tianyi replied again.
As soon as he finished speaking, the man slapped Bing Tianyi across the face. At the same time, he shouted angrily, "Did I ask you to speak?"
Bing Tianyi, stung by the slap, stepped forward and sternly said to the man, "If you don’t believe me, go down and see for yourself. But let me make this clear: if anything happens to Brother Wang, I’m sure the boss won’t let you off!"
Unexpectedly, instead of showing any fear at Bing Tianyi's words, the man laughed heartily and said, "Kid, do you really think I don’t know anything? Trying to scare me? If Xiao Wang makes it out alive today, that’s already the boss showing mercy."
As soon as he finished speaking, Xiao Wang slowly opened his eyes while lying on the boat and weakly asked the man, "Brother Biao, did you tell the boss about my affair with Xia?"
"Wang Zhiqing, don’t think I’m a fool. That time I was supposed to get five hundred thousand, but in the end, I only got two hundred thousand. The remaining three hundred thousand was all swallowed by you. Do you think I’ll just let this go?" Brother Biao said with a cold smile directed at Wang Zhiqing.
Hearing this, Wang Zhiqing slightly closed his eyes and murmured, "Fine then, if that’s the case, just kill me."
"Kill you? Do you think I’m stupid? The boss hasn’t killed you directly; if I do it now, how can I survive?" Brother Biao said as he walked over to Wang Zhiqing.
Seeing this scene unfold, Bing Tianyi's heart raced as he quickly asked Brother Biao, "What do you want to do?"
"Heh heh, since the boss wants to make you suffer immensely, I'll just add a few more kicks," Brother Biao said as he forcefully stomped down on Wang Zhiqing's legs.
Wang Zhiqing let out a blood-curdling scream from the brutal impact before passing out completely.
The brothers on the shore looked at the scene before them and couldn't help but lower their heads.
Bing Tianyi knew that if Biao Ge couldn't vent his anger now, he wouldn't let them leave easily. If they couldn't leave quickly, it would mean leaving Wang Zhiqing here to wait for death.
Rather than that, it was better to endure for a while, wait for Biao Ge to finish venting, and then hurry to take Wang Zhiqing to the hospital; perhaps they could still save a life.
Sure enough, after stepping on something for a while, Biao Ge saw a few brothers approaching with a boat and turned around to shout, "Is the boat ready?"
"Big Brother, it's ready," one of the brothers replied as several others began to slowly push the small boat into the water.
As the boat was launched, Biao Ge said to the younger brother standing next to him, "Get Wang Zhiqing to the hospital. If he dies on the way, I won't let you off easily."
Upon hearing this, the younger brother immediately rushed over to Wang Zhiqing, picked him up, and quickly headed toward the vehicle.
At this moment, Bing Tianyi finally relaxed his tense heart. He nodded in thanks to Biao Ge and said softly, "Biao Ge, I'll be leaving now."
As soon as Bing Tianyi finished speaking, Biao Ge coldly laughed and said, "Leaving? Where do you think you're going?"
"Of course I'm going to the hospital," Bing Tianyi straightened his back and replied while looking at Biao Ge.
"You brat, are you trying to escape?" Biao Ge said as he turned around and kicked Bing Tianyi in the abdomen again.
Bing Tianyi was knocked to the ground by the kick, clutching his abdomen in pain and looking up at Biao Ge with a feigned helplessness. "Then what do you want to do?"
"I don't want anything from you; I just want you to take us to find Big Brother," Biao Ge said as he signaled his brothers to get on the boat.
Bing Tianyi realized that things were not going well but was relieved that Wang Zhiqing and Xia had already safely gotten into the car and left. Now it was just him left, and he definitely had enough time to deal with these people.
Thinking of this, Bing Tianyi forced a smile on his face and said directly to Biao Ge, "Biao Ge, if you want me to take you to find Big Brother, then let's go. Why are you hitting me?"
"I wouldn't call this hitting; hitting you is like this." Biao Ge said as he rushed forward, throwing punches and kicks at Bing Tianyi.
In just two minutes, Bing Tianyi was already bruised and bleeding, lying at the stern of the boat, truly enraged by the beating.
Taking advantage of Biao Ge's momentary distraction, he suddenly got up and pushed Biao Ge into the cold water.
Seeing this, the two brothers on the boat quickly rushed over to try to pull Biao Ge back. Bing Tianyi seized the opportunity, picked up an oar, and with all his strength, struck down at the two men.
As both of them fell into the water, Bing Tianyi wasted no time and swiftly paddled the boat towards the center of the reservoir.
The group of brothers nearby began shouting and cursing at the scene before them.
However, Bing Tianyi couldn't afford to listen to any of that; after all, escaping was crucial. If these people caught him, it wouldn't just be a matter of them surrounding him for a beating. Even if each one landed a punch, he probably wouldn't see dinner tonight.
Just as he had paddled about twenty meters away from the shore, the boat that had just entered the water came back to fish Biao Ge out. Standing at the bow of the boat, Biao Ge shouted angrily, "You son of a bitch! How dare you lay a hand on me? Just wait until I throw you into the reservoir to feed the fish!"
Hearing this made Bing Tianyi's heart race even more as he paddled with all his might.
Perhaps it was due to his desperation; Bing Tianyi felt an extraordinary surge of strength today and didn't feel tired at all. His arms swung continuously as he watched the boat speed through the water.
Meanwhile, Biao Ge stood at the bow, shouting loudly again and directing his brothers on the boat to chase after Bing Tianyi with all their might.
After about fifteen minutes, Bing Tianyi finally brought the boat to a stop next to a small beach on the eastern side of the reservoir.
Without thinking much, he jumped into the water, quickly climbed onto the beach, and headed straight for the nearby mountain.
Biao Ge watched as Bing Tianyi ran towards the mountain like a rabbit. His brows furrowed in concern; it was only now that he realized something was off.
According to Wang Zhiqing and Bing Tianyi's statements, they should have seen Big Head by now since they had rowed to this spot. Yet after traveling such a long distance in the reservoir, there was still no sign of Big Head.
A sudden shock hit his heart, and Biao Ge quickly said to his brothers, "Brothers, find out where the boss is!"
The group of brothers finally reacted, glancing at the water surface, then searching along the shore. After looking around, one of them began to murmur, "There’s no one here; there aren’t many people on either side."
Hearing this, a sense of unease crept into Biao Ge's heart. He glanced at Bing Tianyi, who had already run halfway up the mountain, and shouted to his brothers, "Everyone, quickly bring the boat to the shore and retreat."
"Boss, aren't we going to chase that Little Bastard?"
"The monk can escape, but not the temple. Let's leave here first."
However, by the time Biao Ge wanted to retreat, it was already too late. Just after he finished speaking, a brother shouted loudly from the shore, "Boss, hurry and escape! The police are here!"
Those words sent a chill down Biao Ge's spine. He looked into the distance and saw that the road along the shore was blocked by the mountain. He sighed helplessly.
"Quickly bring the boat to shore; we need to go."
After Biao Ge finished speaking, his brothers desperately began to row the boat toward the shore.
But when they got closer to the shore, they saw dozens of police officers on both sides of the reservoir, watching the scene unfold.
It turned out that Big Head had long been under police surveillance; they just hadn’t found evidence of Big Head's crimes yet. Additionally, three of Big Head's most important subordinates were missing, so the police had been waiting for an opportunity.
