Of course, what Bing Tianyi didn't know was that he had just entered an ordinary person's building, not the homes of millionaires or billionaires.
This is not an exaggeration; it is indeed true. Bing Tianyi thought that if he said this out loud, it would sound like a joke to others, but he knew that such a joke was indeed happening to him.
"Change, everything must change!" Bing Tianyi firmly told himself in his heart.
After almost a night, Wang Bing kept asking Bing Tianyi many questions about feng shui. Although Bing Tianyi did not have the profound skills of an old monk, he still knew a bit about the inquiries from ordinary people.
The next morning, Bing Tianyi was personally driven to school by Wang Bing.
Entering the classroom, Bing Tianyi's deskmate and roommate Pang Yu hurriedly approached and asked, "Brother Tianyi, did you get beaten up yesterday?"
"No."
"What? You were sent from the Disciplinary Office by Wu Dalang and you didn't get beaten?" Pang Yu exclaimed in surprise while calling out Gao Pengjun's name.
Bing Tianyi maintained the same expression as before and quietly said, "Why don't you go ask Director Wang?"
"Forget it, don't joke around. With my small frame, if I went in there, I'd probably have to crawl out," Pang Yu sighed after saying this.
At that moment, Huang Ke swaggered into the classroom. He looked at Bing Tianyi with disdain and then said quietly, "Zombie Eyes, the homeroom teacher is looking for you."
"Huang Ke, I'm giving you one last warning: don't call me Zombie Eyes again, or I'll make you regret it," Bing Tianyi said fiercely after glaring at Huang Ke. He then stood up and stormed out of the door.
Huang Ke had already witnessed Bing Tianyi's prowess yesterday, and now being alone, he naturally did not dare to do anything outrageous. He could only wait until Bing Tianyi left before throwing down a harsh remark: "Don't get too cocky; I'll find someone to deal with you sooner or later!"
After stepping out, Bing Tianyi arrived at the office. It was still early, and only Wan Ying and two other female teachers were present. Upon seeing Bing Tianyi enter, Wan Ying stood up and quietly said, "Come with me."
Following Wan Ying into the hallway, Bing Tianyi noticed there were no students around and immediately asked, "Teacher, is there something wrong?"
"Everything was fine yesterday, right?" Wan Ying asked in a very low voice.
"Nothing happened."
"Director Wang didn't give you a hard time, did he?" As a teacher at the school, Wan Ying was well aware of Director Wang's style, so she inquired about Bing Tianyi.
"No."
"If he did, let me know so I can talk to Director Wang about it later." Wan Ying had sensed since yesterday that Bing Tianyi was a student with some backbone. As a teacher, she felt it was her responsibility to check on her students to prevent them from suffering too much.
Bing Tianyi smiled honestly and replied, "Really, nothing happened. Director Wang was very nice."
Wan Ying nodded skeptically and then said, "As long as everything is fine. You can go to your classroom now."
Bing Tianyi nodded and turned to leave when Wan Ying suddenly called out, "Wait."
Stopping in his tracks and looking back at Wan Ying with curiosity, she continued, "Be polite to Teacher Gao from now on; after all, you are his student."
"Got it. I'll be careful," Bing Tianyi replied. Although he said this, he thought to himself that being polite to such a person would only encourage more teachers to teach their students the art of flattery.
Returning to the classroom, the entire morning passed by very peacefully. It wasn't until the last class that Gao Pengjun entered the room, causing the atmosphere in the classroom to become tense immediately.
"Today we have a test. It's been two weeks, and I want to see how you all have been studying," Gao Pengjun said as he tossed the exam paper he had prepared onto the desk in front. The students in the front row began passing it back.
At this moment, Bing Tianyi started to think seriously, recalling his first math test in First Year where he only scored fifteen points, causing cold sweat to break out on his forehead.
Fortunately, after that first test, he was punished by the teacher and had to rewrite it fifty times. Of course, this included the correct answers. One important point was that during high school, Gao Pengjun loved to use extreme punishment methods on students; it was common for students to have to copy a wrong answer fifty or even a hundred times after an exam.
With a strange smile at the corner of his mouth, he quickly filled out the header of the exam paper and began answering questions based on his past and current memories.
In just over ten minutes, Bing Tianyi had completely filled out his exam paper. He checked it briefly with his pen before burying his head on the desk and falling asleep.
Seeing Bing Tianyi sleeping at his desk naturally made Gao Pengjun's teeth itch with anger. However, someone like him would not let his inner fury explode immediately; instead, he needed to simmer until he could devise a suitable punishment.
As the bell rang signaling the end of class, students in the back row stood up to collect their papers. Meanwhile, Gao Pengjun sneered from the podium and said, "Some of you in this class better listen up. In the past two weeks, I haven't said this to you before, but today I feel it's necessary to make it clear. I don't care how you perform in your other subjects; if your math scores are low enough to affect our class ranking or even the district ranking, you might as well get lost! Don't force me to kick you out one by one; that wouldn't be good for either of us!"
When he said the last few words, Gao Pengjun's gaze clearly fell on Bing Tianyi sitting in the last row.
Bing Tianyi merely smiled lightly and pretended to be unconcerned as he played with his fountain pen.
Time flew by, and soon another day had passed. What seemed like a calm school life hid many undercurrents.
The next morning during the first class, Gao Pengjun strode into the classroom holding the exam papers. As soon as he entered, he slammed the classroom door shut.
"Bing Tianyi, stand up!" Gao Pengjun shouted sternly.
"Teacher, is there something wrong?" Bing Tianyi asked with a smile.
To be honest, Bing Tianyi looked down on the math teacher in front of him from the bottom of his heart. He had long been aware of this person's despicable and shameless behavior.
"Speak up, when did you steal the exam paper I assigned?" Gao Pengjun asserted.
Upon hearing this, the classmates turned their heads to look at Bing Tianyi.
Bing Tianyi, feeling helpless, smiled bitterly and said, "Teacher, where is this coming from?"
"I know your math grades have been poor since middle school, yet you scored a hundred today. There must be something fishy going on. Speak up honestly, and I might go easy on you," Gao Pengjun said forcefully.
"Teacher Gao, is scoring a hundred wrong? If it is, then I'd rather be wrong all the way," Bing Tianyi replied, slightly smug.
Gao Pengjun was so angry that he stomped his feet. In utter frustration, he picked up the blackboard eraser from the classroom and threw it directly at Bing Tianyi.
Bing Tianyi dodged just in time, but the eraser hit the wall at the back of the classroom. Seeing this, Bing Tianyi turned around, walked to the back of the classroom, picked up the fallen eraser, and stepped onto the podium. Looking at Gao Pengjun, he said softly, "Teacher, anger is harmful to your health. Also, as a teacher, do you think it's right to slander a student like this?"
"You!" Gao Pengjun raised his hand in anger, ready to slap him when Bing Tianyi continued, "There are regulations against corporal punishment and verbally abusing students. If you really want to hit me, I can only endure it."
"Fine, then just endure it," Gao Pengjun said as he kicked Bing Tianyi hard in the chest.
The slender Bing Tianyi was knocked to the ground by the adult's kick and gasped in pain.
Gao Pengjun was short in stature but had never been confronted like this by a student. In a fit of rage, he strode to the back of the classroom, picked up a broomstick, and returned to Bing Tianyi's side.
While swinging it repeatedly, Gao Pengjun shouted angrily, "Tell me when you stole my exam paper!"
Bang! Bang! Bang!
As the broomstick continued to strike Bing Tianyi, his inner world completely collapsed. He wanted to stand up and resist, but he remembered Wan Ying's warning from the morning that Gao Pengjun was still his teacher, and he should acknowledge that fact.
Enduring the pain in his body, Bing Tianyi lay silently on the ground.
After nearly ten minutes, when Gao Pengjun's broomstick had deformed, he finally stood panting and glared at Bing Tianyi on the floor, shouting, "Let me tell you, a student like you will eventually be kicked out of my class!"
Upon hearing this, Bing Tianyi did not respond. He struggled to get up from the ground, dusted himself off, and turned back to his seat.
At this moment, Pang Yu was already stunned into silence, sitting quietly with his head down.
After throwing the broomstick to the ground, Gao Pengjun tossed the exam papers onto the podium and angrily said, "Come up and take your papers. Anyone with wrong answers must copy them fifty times. Also, anyone who scored below sixty must copy the entire exam paper fifty times. I want to see today's assignments tomorrow!"
With that, Gao Pengjun turned and left.
The classroom fell silent; it was so quiet that one could hear a pin drop. Bing Tianyi sighed, placed the exam paper on his desk, and began to doze off again.
Just as he rested his head on his arm, Mei Fenfeng, who sat in front of him, turned around and quietly asked, "Tianyi, are you okay?"
Although Bing Tianyi was not fond of Mei Fenfeng, after being beaten down like this, he lifted his head and saw her concern—despite her unattractive appearance but kind heart—and smiled as he replied, "I'm fine. You should get back to your homework."
After saying this, Bing Tianyi rested his head on his arm once more.
