Seeing his son enter through an alley and head straight to the yard of their rented house, standing at the door waiting for them to open it, left the two elderly people stunned once again.
It should be noted that for the past few days, their son had been in a detention center and had not stepped outside. Moreover, they had only finalized the rental of this house that very morning, yet he appeared to have already been here.
Amidst their surprise, Father Bing quickly approached and looked at Bing Tianyi, asking again, "How did you know we were living here?"
"Mom and Dad, there are some things I will explain to you later when the time is right. Also, did you bring my backpack?" Bing Tianyi asked.
"I brought it. What's wrong?" Mother Bing asked curiously.
"Today is Wednesday, and I think I should go to school; otherwise, I might fall behind in my classes," Bing Tianyi said as he casually took the keys from his father's hand, entered the house to grab his backpack, and turned to walk out.
The two elderly people stood at the door in shock until Bing Tianyi reached them. They looked at him with astonishment.
Their son, who had previously disliked going to school, was now taking the initiative to carry his backpack and head off to class. Could there be other reasons behind this change?
Curious, they exchanged wry smiles after Bing Tianyi disappeared from their sight and walked into the house.
However, many things were not as perfect as Bing Tianyi imagined. Schooling, in his previous impression, was indeed a very tedious affair. Every day was a repetitive cycle; although he learned different content, in Bing Tianyi's mind, none of it was useful for life.
But after experiencing various events, Bing Tianyi now understood the importance of education. So before preparing to return to his current life and retrace his steps over the past few years, he had already chosen the path to get into a key national university.
With a singular focus on studying, Bing Tianyi completely forgot about his previous proposal to Mei Fenfeng as he walked through the school gates. With his head down, he arrived at the classroom door and looked up at the familiar yet strange sign for Class Three of First Year. A confident smile appeared on his lips as he stood at the entrance and shouted loudly, "Reporting!"
Upon hearing Bing Tianyi's voice, the students in music class quickly fell silent.
A few seconds later, the classroom door was opened, and upon seeing the Music Teacher, Bing Tianyi politely bowed and said apologetically, "I'm sorry, I've had some things going on these past couple of days, so..."
"Stand outside," the Music Teacher interrupted him, shutting the door behind her.
Bing Tianyi was taken aback. However, he quickly remembered how often he had stood outside during his high school days.
Just like in his memories, Bing Tianyi stood at the classroom door with his backpack. But unlike his high school days when he felt angry about it, he now found it somewhat enjoyable.
As Bing Tianyi stood there reminiscing about the past, a loving voice called out from his left, "Tianyi, come to the office."
Turning around, he instantly felt tears welling up when he saw his high school Chinese teacher, Wan Ying. Her familiar expression and sincere smile struck a chord in Bing Tianyi's fragile heart.
To be honest, he still remembered how caring Wan Ying had been during his high school years.
Without further thought, he quickly made his way to the office. As soon as he entered, the teachers in the room cast him curious glances.
Wan Ying then quietly asked Bing Tianyi, "Have you cleared up your situation?"
"Yes, Teacher."
"Good. I estimate you've missed quite a bit of class these past few days. However, I'll have Xue Weiwei from your class help tutor you. Make sure to study hard then," Wan Ying said while looking at the assignments in her hands.
"Thank you, Teacher," Bing Tianyi replied, trying to emulate how he used to act as a student.
After hearing this, Wan Ying looked up at Bing Tianyi with curiosity and smiled, "You seem a bit off today. Are you still struggling to get over that incident?"
"No."
"That's good. There's one more thing I want to ask you. I heard from some classmates that you seem to have fallen in love early, right?" Wan Ying said with a shy smile, looking at the tall boy in front of her.
To be honest, Wan Ying is twenty-three years old this year and has just graduated from university. She is naturally shy. Although she possesses an absolutely beautiful appearance among all the teachers in the school, she still doesn't have a boyfriend due to her personality.
Now, hearing that her student has fallen in love early surprised her a bit when she first heard about it.
However, for the sake of her students' overall development, she couldn't just ignore it.
Upon hearing this, Bing Tianyi showed a helpless expression and quietly said, "No, teacher."
"Then how come I heard from classmates that you proposed to Mei Fenfeng during the class outing last weekend?"
Although Wan Ying spoke softly, after she finished her sentence, several teachers in the office couldn't help but chuckle quietly.
After Wan Ying finished speaking, Bing Tianyi's face turned as red as fire, reaching all the way to his neck. He never expected that this matter would reach the teachers' ears so quickly.
Of course, even if that were the case, it wouldn't be such a big deal. But the most important thing was that since the teachers knew about it, all the students in the school probably knew by now.
After all, Mei Fenfeng had become a celebrity in just two weeks! Nicknamed "Mei the Flower," she had already attracted attention in class within two days. The more he thought about it, the more Bing Tianyi wished he could find a hole to hide in.
