With a bitter smile, Bing Tianyi thought to himself that having such abilities might actually be a good thing; if the stall was destroyed, his parents wouldn't have to set up shop anymore. With this thought in mind, he nodded and said, "Alright then, just be careful."
"Go back quickly; we left some dumplings for you at home. Just boil some water and eat," Bing Tianyi's father said as he turned and hurried away.
After his parents disappeared from view, Bing Tianyi aimlessly walked down the street, starting to enter a brand new phase of life.
Before long, he returned to what he called home. At the door, he looked around and then took the key from the doorframe. Everything felt so familiar to him, with not a hint of strangeness.
Just as he was about to open the door, he heard a sound from the neighboring apartment. Turning to glance left, he saw an old man with a bald head and an ethereal demeanor wearing what seemed like a dirty robe stepping out.
Their eyes met, and the old man's expression clearly changed in an unusual way.
Bing Tianyi, unfazed, opened the door and was about to step inside when the old man quickly approached him, grabbing his arm with a smile and saying, "Child, may I come in for a glass of water?"
To be honest, Bing Tianyi usually found these wandering monks in the city quite annoying. However, today he surprisingly smiled and replied, "Of course, please come in."
His reaction was quite normal after all. Having experienced life and death and having traveled from one world to another made him realize that nothing was truly impossible.
The old monk nodded with a smile and followed Bing Tianyi into the room. The simple space had very little furniture. A curtain separated the two rooms; on the left was Bing Tianyi's parents' workspace and bedroom, while on the right was Bing Tianyi's own space where he studied and rested. This area also served as their living room.
Once inside, Bing Tianyi awkwardly smiled and said, "Sorry, the room is a bit simple."
While speaking, Bing Tianyi poured a glass of water and handed it to the elderly man in front of him.
The old monk held the cup, took a simple sip, then pulled out a cigarette, lit it, and took a deep drag. He stared meaningfully at Bing Tianyi.
Seeing this, Bing Tianyi felt a bit worried. It would be normal for anyone else to smoke, but seeing this old monk do it made him feel uneasy.
"Is there anything else you need?" After hesitating for a long time, Bing Tianyi finally decided to send the old monk away.

The old monk smiled after exhaling a puff of smoke.

Trying to calm himself down as much as possible, Bing Tianyi quickly took out a pack of good cigarettes that his father usually used to entertain guests from the drawer and handed one to the old monk. He quickly leaned forward and asked, "Sir, how do you know all this?"

"I believe you," the old monk nodded.
"You really believe me?" Bing Tianyi asked in surprise. However, after saying this, he felt it was somewhat unnecessary. Considering what the old monk had just said, he should have realized that the old monk seemed to know everything about his situation.
"Of course, I know that you’re not afraid of death; you’re just afraid of how to live," the old monk said meaningfully.
