Xia Yangyang was forcefully pulled into the location of the Giant Fish Tank by Victor, a mysterious area connected to the sea that was beyond the control of the research institute staff and discovered by Victor himself.
As Victor approached, a giant scallop slowly opened its shell, revealing a large pink pearl. Victor picked up the pearl and held it out in front of Xia Yangyang.
Xia Yangyang was taken aback, thinking to herself: This big pearl could sell for a lot of money in the human world.
However, before she could say "thank you," Victor's hand reached toward her mouth. "Swallow it, and you will become one with the ocean, gaining its recognition."
What does it mean to become one with the ocean? To turn into a fish? Who would want to become a fish?
Xia Yangyang kept retreating, but Victor's tentacles restrained her, leaving her powerless to resist. Victor forcefully shoved the pearl into her mouth, and Xia Yangyang felt a painful sensation in her throat. Tears streamed down her face, but she couldn't make a sound.
It wasn't until the pearl finally slid down her throat that Victor released her with satisfaction.
Xia Yangyang's face turned pale as she asked, "What have you done to me?"

At that moment, a song rippled from the farthest part of the ocean. Xia Yangyang found the melody enchanting, making it hard to resist being captivated.
Meanwhile, the system activated urgently; she almost forgot that Victor's voice could be mesmerizing.
The system immediately initiated an emergency shield for Xia Yangyang, but it was too late. Her gaze lost its luster, and she appeared to be at the mercy of others.
Victor picked up Xia Yangyang, his dim eyes revealing concern. Their breaths intertwined, and Xia Yangyang felt a wave of pain.
Victor gently caressed her cheek with tenderness in his eyes. Xia Yangyang gritted her teeth in silence; she looked down and thought to herself: If this continues, will I really not die?
She tried to struggle, but her limbs were entangled by Tentacles and unable to move. In desperation, she slammed her head against a nearby pillar and fainted again.
After an unknown amount of time, this time she was awakened by the stimulation of surgery. Or perhaps it was after being enchanted by Victor's song that he had entangled her for three days and nights.
If it weren't for the timely rescue by the researchers, she would have become the first host to be killed in the history of the system.
After this ordeal, she slept for three days and had a high fever for three days. But miraculously, when the fever broke and she woke up, there wasn't a single scar on her body; even the marks from the surgery had healed.
The previous researcher pushed a medication cart through the hatch and said gently, "This task is very difficult; it's expected that failure would happen on the first attempt. It's okay."
