Chapter 258: The Truth of That Year
After resting for a night, my dad and the others still hadn't recovered their fighting strength, so we decided to stay here for a few more days until they had healed significantly before continuing on.
No one opposed this decision, nor would anyone.
In the Spirit Department, aside from Yang Bin staying with us, I instructed the other four to use any means necessary to bring everyone else back immediately. Little Black also volunteered to go with them, boasting about its usefulness and keen sense of smell. I didn't really believe it, but I let it go anyway.
Inside the dim Ear Chamber, only a few Dead Air Lanterns were placed around, and without any wind, it felt particularly quiet. Everyone leaned against the walls; I had blankets if they needed them, which made those people envious to no end.
“Dad, I think there are some things you should tell me now,” I finally said after some thought.
As soon as I spoke, the few people who had been chatting fell silent. Xianxian curiously moved closer and sat beside me, looking lazy yet eager for the unfolding drama.
After being cleaned up, my dad's face no longer looked particularly aged; he seemed a bit more spirited, but it couldn't hide the weariness and dust of travel on him. He sighed deeply and after a long pause asked, “What do you want to know?”
Just as I was about to speak, Xianxian's eyes lit up with excitement as she eagerly said, “Of course everything! We have quite a few clues ourselves; why don't we all compare what we've found?”
“Sure, that's a good idea. Even we don't have all the information,” Xiao Zian chimed in excitedly. Before long, everyone gathered together, even Lime leaned against the wall behind me and Xianxian while holding a sword.
I felt helpless; I had originally wanted to confirm my origins, but how did it turn into this?
"Let's start with the God Alliance and the Demon Clan. Hey, Fengfeng, why do you look like you need to go to the bathroom? Hurry up, we'll wait for you!" Xianxian said with a playful smile.
"Stop messing around and let's talk about serious matters!" I shot him a glare, annoyed that he brought up something irrelevant.
"I seem to smell disdain!" Xianxian looked at me with a mournful expression.
"You have a keen nose!" I complimented him.

"Feng Xiao Ge, why don't you share what you've discovered recently?" Xiao Zian smiled and said.
I nodded, no longer bickering with Xianxian, and organized my thoughts once again before speaking. I would first share our findings and our own views.
"What we know is that this world has always been ruled by a mysterious force. What people see in this world is merely what they want them to see. Humanity has been controlled since ancient times, and a massive conspiracy has been brewing, involving the past, present, and future—a trinity of three souls. Without a doubt, we believe there are several powerful forces controlling the world. They have been in opposition to each other, namely the 'God Alliance' and the 'Azure Dragon' representing the Demon Clan. As for other factions, while they should not be underestimated, they are likely seen as minor players in their eyes."
"Next is the 'Divine Decree Project.'"
"The so-called gods in the God Alliance are actually an organization made up of a group of people. It is said that they continuously build and destroy, using humanity as their subjects for experimentation. Where there is oppression, there is resistance; thus, countless Cultivators—perhaps referring to organizations like the Demon Clan—have emerged. These so-called Cultivators are actually awakened individuals trying to enhance their abilities to escape the control of the three realms. However, as the saying goes, 'the higher the way, the stronger the demon.' Under the control of the God Alliance, they only give people an illusion of achieving immortality; in reality, they are just slightly stronger than ordinary people."

The Modifiers did not understand the true strength of the God Alliance and underestimated them. The God Alliance descended from above and eliminated most of the Modifiers. The clever Modifiers, in a moment of crisis, hid underground and dared not fight anymore. Those underground began developing their high-tech means of reproduction. In this great war, the God Alliance also suffered significant losses and lost many capable generals before returning to their homeland."
However, the Modifiers did not give up; they have been waiting for the right moment.
Research is still ongoing, and the God Alliance is slowly nurturing these humans, preparing to transform them when the time is right.
The current time and space of Earth is very important for the entire universe, which is why there are many who know the secrets and many prophets appearing. They are merely supporting characters in this grand temporal drama.
This universe has evolved to a very high level, and certain secrets have already been uncovered as reality. However, there are still some locks that have not been opened, and the key to unlocking these locks is—breaking the deadlock!
"Yes, that's right, continue," my dad and his group listened intently. From their expressions, I couldn't guess what they were thinking. Then Xianxian spoke on my behalf: "The God Alliance is a powerful organization composed of different Planetary Beings. Their presence can be found throughout the Galaxy; since ancient times, they have been everywhere. Humans cannot see them, yet they are omnipresent! The universe is constantly evolving, and humanity is also evolving. Sooner or later, ordinary people will evolve to the level of the God Alliance.
Thus, the Divine Decree Project was born!
Sealing gods actually refers to sealing human abilities to prevent human awakening and suppressing ancient advanced humans. In the initial experiments, a batch of humans lived for over a thousand years and became what humans consider immortals. This group was a primary target of the Divine Decree Project. In ancient times, humans who reached the Deities level were almost completely eradicated, but there are still a few that escaped. We speculate that these survivors might be the predecessors of the Demon Clan."
