Snow Princess is not here at the moment; it seems she and Xianxian have gone down. So, Wang Yi called two people over. I glanced at them; there were only two women here, so I didn't care how they were assigned. I grabbed Tong Qi's arm and jumped down. Although Tong Qi was nervous, he didn't show any fear; after all, he was a man and went down without a word.
Next, Wang Yi and the two strangers brought the other three down as well.
I didn't say much, just signaled for Rophie and the others to follow me into the cave. Hearing the footsteps behind me made me smile slightly. Indeed, having skills is good. I remember being envious to death when I first saw Lime in the arena; now that I'm strong myself, it doesn't feel like much anymore. With greater power comes greater responsibility.
I also knew that as our strength increased, the dangers we would face in the future would also rise... whether it was The Dead, or the current Ghost Ring or formations, these far exceeded what people know today! It’s easy to imagine how powerful humanity was in ancient times, millions of years ago! They could probably turn clouds into rain with a flick of their hand.

After passing through the cave, I found myself in a bright chamber illuminated by flames. At first glance, two massive statues were strikingly intimidating. On a second look, I noticed that the large pool had half of its blood missing for some reason. Despite this, the remaining blood still emitted a strong Blood Stench, which was quite nauseating!
The others soon ran to one side holding their stomachs to vomit. I shook my head helplessly, thinking to myself why they had to do this; they were asking for trouble. I had already said that this place was not suitable for them.
"What’s going on?" I walked over to Xianxian, glancing at Dr. Zhang, who was busy, and asked softly.
Xianxian shook her head, indicating she didn't know.
Snow Princess continued to hold onto Xianxian's arm with a faint smile on her face, showing no signs of discomfort. Compared to the pale faces of those behind us, she seemed much better off; it appeared she had seen some "big scenes"!
Once again, I looked around at the arrangement here. Aside from the blood in the pool being slightly less, everything else was the same as when I came before. I couldn't help but wonder when that immense suction would start again. Looking up at the mouth of the statue, if I wasn't mistaken, the last time that suction came from there. Could it be that the blood was sucked away?
The thought vanished in an instant, and shaking my head, I noticed that there wasn't a single drop of blood on the statue's mouth or anywhere else. Logically speaking, aside from the Blood Pool itself, there shouldn't be anything strange here, yet I felt something was off.
"Dr. Zhang, be careful!" A sudden exclamation caught my attention. Turning my head from Consciousness, I saw that Dr. Zhang had somehow climbed onto the statue and seemed to be inspecting its mouth. Special Police Ma Jielian was nervously watching from below, along with three other officers standing guard nearby. It seemed Xianxian had mentioned before coming down that the space inside was limited, which is why they brought a few people in.
Well, since we wouldn't find anything out for now, let those "professionals" ponder over it.
Over here, Xianxian and Snow Princess were chatting back and forth. I returned to the group and noticed their faces had improved a bit, but they still looked pale. So I smiled and asked, "How's it going? Is your curiosity satisfied?"
"You!" Li Hui exclaimed angrily while protecting Sun Lan, complaining, "Why didn't you inform us before coming in?"
"You didn't ask," I replied coolly without looking at them again. Instead, I turned to the other three; Tongqi and Xiao Xiao had adjusted after initially feeling unwell, and Rophie's face looked better too.
"Is all the villagers' blood here?" Xiao Xiao asked in surprise.
"How many people would it take to fill such a large pool?" Rophie said, her delicate face turning pale again as she seemed to tremble slightly, giving off an aura of a sickly beauty.
Sun Lan also looked pale and quietly asked, "It must not be easy to draw blood; with so many people in the Village being drained overnight, it seems like their side won't be lacking either."
I gazed at the Blood Pool, which was square and orderly—definitely indicative of a well-trained organization. The Three Yellow Cult... just then, I recalled the stone tablet at the cave entrance. Suddenly, I felt a tremor in the air. I quickly looked up; the statue remained still, and there was no suction...
"Feng, what's wrong?" Rophie asked with confusion.
I reassured her that it was nothing and turned to the others: "Have you seen enough? If you have, let's hurry and leave this place; the malice here is too strong. Staying too long isn't good for your health; if something attaches itself to you, don't blame me!" I half-joked and half-warned them to leave.
Sure enough, upon hearing this, their expressions turned unnatural. They grumbled a bit before leaving one by one.
As soon as we emerged from the cave, a sudden tremor shook the ground, and I knew it had begun again!
Not wanting to waste any time, I urged a few people to hurry up. A rope had already been lowered from above the cave entrance. I called out, and Wang Yi poked his head out from above. Tong Qi helped Xiao Xiao tie the rope around her waist, and she was pulled up. Next were Sun Lan, Tong Qi, and Li Hui. When the last one, Rophie, was finally pulled up, Xianxian and the others rushed out of the cave.
Xianxian remarked that it was fortunate Dr. Sun was older and lost his footing; otherwise, he would have been sucked up directly and might not have survived.
Major Ma repeatedly thanked Xianxian and then pulled Dr. Zhang up with him. I glanced back and noticed that two people were missing. Xianxian patted my shoulder and said nonchalantly, "Two sacrificed themselves. The suction this time was even stronger than last time. If it weren't for those two, we would have had to exert more effort to get out safely."
I nodded, and then we followed suit and climbed up.
After passing through a small grove, we returned to Dahuang Village. The Village Chief and a group of villagers were waiting anxiously at the village entrance. When they saw us return, they approached with concern, asking if we had discovered anything.
Major Ma and his team stayed behind to comfort the villagers, while Dr. Zhang took Xianxian to his place for a discussion.
I was about to say a few words to Rophie when Xianxian came over to pull me along. I glanced helplessly at Rophie, who smiled gently at me, her face blooming like a flower, radiating warmth as she assured me she was fine and encouraged me to go with them. I didn't hesitate and went with Xianxian and Dr. Zhang.
Once inside the house, Dr. Zhang carefully took out a small stone from his pocket, adjusted his glasses, and said with a mix of concern and tension, "I can't believe someone would do something so inhumane!"
"What is this?" Xianxian asked as she picked up the stone from the table.
Dr. Zhang glanced at it and replied, "A meteorite that was knocked out from the mouth of that statue." Before we could ask further questions, he continued, "This meteorite itself possesses strong suction power; now that it's been exploited by someone... sigh..." He shook his head in dismay, his eyes filled with compassion.
