As I was looking around, I suddenly became aware of a very important question! 0

Did we start off sleeping next to this corpse?! 0

I wasn't sure whether to thank Lime for not telling us the truth right away or to marvel at how he showed no reaction upon seeing the body. Wait, no reaction? 0

When I took a closer look at him, I saw that Lime was staring intently at the right side of the corpse. 0

Earlier, we had only seen the upper half of the body, but now I noticed that the corpse's right hand was tightly gripping a dark object. There were several tools on the ground that looked like shovels, all rusted and worn. 0

“Let This Lord see if there’s a name engraved on it?” As I looked over, Xianxian boldly pried the dark object from the corpse's hand. He held it up to his mouth and breathed on it a few times, then carefully wiped it with his clothing before eagerly examining it. 0

What an idiot; who would casually engrave their name on a dark object? Well, although that object wasn’t originally black, what kind of person dies in a place like this? A Tomb Raider! Even I, as an outsider, know about the dangers of Tomb Raiding. No one would leave any trace that could identify them, so I felt there was little chance of finding a name. Just as I was waiting for Xianxian to admit his foolishness, he suddenly exclaimed, and I froze. Could it really have some name engraved on it? Damn it, if that were true, this Tomb Raider would be incredibly unprofessional! 0

Before I could lament further, I heard Xianxian say regretfully, “This Ancient Jade is quite nice; what a pity.” 0

Ancient Jade? I almost spat out blood; he was lamenting over that darkened jade pendant! 0

At that moment, Xianxian exclaimed again. My mouth twitched involuntarily. Come on, can’t you just say everything at once instead of startling us like this? Just as I was feeling disgruntled, Xianxian excitedly said, “I told you, there’s usually a name engraved on these jade pendants!” 0

“What name?” I asked. 0

“Chen.” Xianxian said with great certainty. 0

“And then? That’s it?” I blinked. What conclusion can we draw from just that one word? 0

“This Lord is thinking,” Xianxian replied while stroking his chin in contemplation. 0

I shook my head helplessly and inadvertently caught a glimpse of Lime still staring at the right side of the corpse. I looked over in confusion but saw nothing, only feeling a strong soreness in my eyes, making everything a bit blurry. Although Lime often stayed silent, this time I sensed he was preoccupied, so I simply snatched the flashlight from Xianxian's hand and moved closer to take a look. For some reason, I felt there were still some details we hadn't noticed. 0

The flashlight's beam wasn't very strong, but it wasn't soft either. Looking closely made my eyes feel even more sore and uncomfortable. I closed my eyes to ease the strain for a moment before squinting slightly. As I leaned in to see better, I was taken aback. 0

Next to the corpse was a line of very faint writing, the characters were elegant yet firm. I couldn't tell if it was written by a man or a woman because I was already moved by those words. 0

It read: 0

"I ache for you, enough to neglect myself. But you deceived me..." 0

Just fifteen short characters, unsigned, yet inexplicably tugging at my heart! The brevity of the message revealed little information, yet it was significant enough to preliminarily conclude that this person had been deceived by their beloved and met with an unfortunate death. 0

This person was not ordinary! 0

Recalling everything we had experienced on this journey, arriving here required not just strength but also luck! And miracles! Yet this person had made it here alone and managed to navigate through such dangers? 0

The skeleton said we were the first batch of visitors, but wasn't this person only a short hundred meters away from that forbidden area? Did they perish before reaching the bottom? How tragic, being so close yet failing at the last step. But even more tragic things lay ahead. I thought if they knew, they might jump up in anger... 0

However, now there was an inexplicable additional corpse. Lime stared at it in a daze while Xianxian examined the jade pendant closely. These two seemed overly concerned; after all, we were at a critical juncture where life and death hung in the balance—who knew when we might join this person in death! 0

"This person is quite sentimental even at death's door!" Xianxian clicked her tongue, clearly having seen the words carved on the ground. 0

Lime seemed to snap back to reality and extended his slender hand towards Xianxian. Confused, Xianxian asked what he was doing. Lime ignored her question and continued to reach out. After a few seconds of hesitation, Xianxian suddenly understood and handed him the jade pendant she had just cleaned up a bit. Only then did Lime retract his hand and examine it thoughtfully before falling silent again. 0

"What did you discover?" Xianxian asked curiously. 0

Lime exhaled deeply, seemingly reluctant to elaborate. However, seeing Lime's demeanor only fueled Xianxian's curiosity as she persistently asked if he had found any clues. 0

Lime helplessly uttered three words: Zhou Juechen. 0

These three words seemed to carry significant weight. Upon hearing them, Xianxian was taken aback, and unfortunately, his head bumped against the ceiling! Yet, he seemed to feel no pain at all, shock evident in his voice as he asked, “Zhou… Zhou Juechen, are you saying this person is Young Master Juechen!?” I could sense a slight tremor in Xianxian's tone, and he appeared so excited that he was at a loss for words. 0

Seeing his reaction, I guessed that this person was indeed extraordinary. Xianxian had never been this agitated when talking about the Demon Clan! This only piqued my curiosity about this person's background even more! 0

Lime merely nodded lightly, and Xianxian immediately turned around and respectfully bowed three times to the corpse before him, saying, “Young Master Juechen, I have admired you for a long time. To see you today is worth my life!” 0

“What exactly is the background of Zhou Juechen?” Seeing Xianxian's behavior, I was even more astonished and asked. 0

“Fengfeng, you don’t even know about The Young Master of the World Juechen!” Xianxian looked at me with extreme disdain. 0

I scratched my head innocently. Why should I know? Is it necessary? Besides, this character has never appeared in any history books! 0

Xianxian then understood and looked at Zhou Juechen with admiration as he began to explain. 0

It turns out that Zhou Juechen was a famous diviner during the Song Dynasty, elegant and refined, known in the martial world as The Young Master of the World. Though he appeared delicate, he possessed immense strength and was well-versed in martial arts. He could predict celestial phenomena at night and calculate people's fates by day. Not to mention his exceptional skills in tomb raiding and excavation. He was a figure that everyone in the righteous path sought to befriend! 0

However, this Young Master Juechen was a person of simple desires, seeking neither fame nor fortune, only wishing to follow his heart. Unless absolutely necessary, he would not easily “descend,” but when he did “descend,” it was effortless for him to turn danger into safety. No matter how formidable an opponent was, he could easily overcome them without leaving a trace behind. 0
