"Someone's coming," Lime suddenly said.
"Who?" As I spoke, Xianxian and I turned to look in the direction Lime was facing, but due to the coffin and the visual blind spot, I didn't see anyone at first. After stepping aside a few paces, I finally saw that indeed four or five people had arrived, and the leader was wearing a pair of oversized black sunglasses. What the hell! It was Divine Hand!
"What on earth is Divine Hand doing here? Why can't he just disappear? Why do we keep running into him?" I couldn't help but whisper.
Xianxian looked at me in surprise, as if I were some kind of alien. After a moment, he whispered back, "You really don't know who he is?"
"Do I need to know?" I blinked. Why should I have to know?
"Aren't you here with them? Besides... never mind, I don't really know much about them either. But Divine Hand and Kong Quan are quite powerful and very famous in the community. Also... Divine Hand seems to be similar to you."
Seeing Xianxian speaking mysteriously, I asked in confusion, "In what way am I similar?"
"You're both diagnosed with Dissociative Identity Disorder!" Xianxian raised an eyebrow and laughed. "Although you're way weaker compared to him. Don't think just because his nickname is Sharpshooter (short for Divine Hand) that he's only skilled with a gun!"
"You’re the one with a split personality; you’re the weak one!" I really wanted to give him a punch. How could he say such things about his own brother? Even if it was true, did he have to say it out loud? While Xianxian was looking over at Divine Hand, I suddenly walked over and kicked him in the rear, then quickly dashed behind Lime. After all, I had a bodyguard!
Sure enough, when Xianxian saw Lime's icy expression that hardly changed (though it still did change), he relented after a few seconds of struggle and managed to say, "This Lord won't hold it against you!"
"Hehe, Xianxian, my brother, you forgot we’re all brothers here; no need to be polite." I couldn't help but laugh. Seeing Xianxian get flustered brought me a bit of joy. Sigh, why do I feel like I've really become bad? It's starting to feel a bit like that crazy person. Speaking of that crazy person, oh my god, could it be that I'm gradually merging with him?
Lime remained completely calm, but Xianxian was no longer at ease. With a pale face, he seemed ready to confront me, but just as he took a couple of steps forward, a loud and sarcastic voice came from ahead: "Oh, isn't that Brother Feng up there? Tough luck! Survived so many times and still thinks we're just playing around!"
I immediately recognized it was Evil Bird speaking. Xianxian turned around, and before I could say anything, he happily remarked, "Of course! Otherwise, how could he be my brother?"
Evil Bird, however, was unfazed and mockingly laughed, "Brother? Haha, Xianxian, I didn't expect you to pull this trick. You're really sacrificing yourself for information! Impressive! A cultured person like you has built good relations so quickly; we’ve wasted quite a bit of time."
Is this sowing discord?
I looked at Xianxian. Although I trusted he wouldn't do such a thing—after all, to deceive someone, one must first deceive oneself—there's no way to fool someone without a hint of sincerity. Moreover, I wouldn't doubt my brother based on a few words from an enemy. So I decided to watch the show and see how he would handle it.
Xianxian didn't look at me; he stood tall with his arms crossed and calmly replied, "What? Are you jealous?"
Alright, I admit Xianxian has quite the potential to infuriate others. Just look at Evil Bird's face turning the color of liver from anger.
Xianxian and Evil Bird exchanged barbs for a while longer. I was enjoying the spectacle when suddenly I felt a gaze sweep over me. Turning my head slightly, I saw Divine Hand looking at me with a smirk that was neither fully a smile nor a frown. I absolutely detest Divine Hand's ambiguous expressions; is he smiling or not? And he wears those oversized Sniper Goggles all day long—what's worse is that they’re rare black ones! Every time I see that slight curve of his lips, I get an ominous feeling; it's unsettling not knowing his thoughts or intentions!
Could it be...
No way! Could Divine Hand already know the secret inside Snake Vine Tree? My heart raced as I pretended to remain calm and shifted my gaze away. Regardless of whether he knew or not, I'd act as if I were oblivious!
"Lime, have you seen my friend?" To distract myself, I had no choice but to ask Lime directly. After all, in front of outsiders, I still had to give him some face. Here we wouldn’t call him Lemon; as for nicknames, that's our private matter. However, after asking the question, I realized I'd made a foolish mistake. Although I knew Lime understood who I meant, he had never met Dabao—and Dabao was a ghost! Wasn't that just asking nonsense?
Sure enough, Lime simply replied lightly, "No."
“Lime, I didn't expect that the thing you went through so much trouble to find would end up in someone else's hands like this. It really doesn't seem like your style,” Divine Hand suddenly chuckled.
“What thing? What are you talking about?” Xianxian immediately stopped bickering with Evil Bird and quickly looked at Divine Hand and Lime, asking.
“What thing? Brother Xian, you don't know? I heard you were there last time too, right?” Evil Bird chimed in, looking at me with a sneer and exaggerated surprise. “Did Brother Feng not tell you about this? But if it were me, I would want as few people as possible to know about such an embarrassing matter, right?” After saying this, Evil Bird raised his eyebrows at me.
Seeing Xianxian looking over curiously, I suddenly burst out laughing. Evil Bird was instantly stunned, and I laughed even harder, saying, “A bird is just a bird. If a person is cheap, then so be it. Can’t your IQ be a little higher? You actually take a broken key seriously. You really can't compare to Lime!” Yes, Evil Bird was right; back then, I was too weak and had no choice but to hand over the Black Key for their safety. But they were never sure if it was real or not. Lime is so smart and capable that even if I said nothing, they should have filled in the blanks themselves. That was the effect I wanted! If I'm unhappy, my enemies shouldn't think they can be happy either!
“You little brat actually played a trick!?” Sure enough, as soon as I finished speaking, Evil Bird jumped up and pointed his finger at me, questioning.
I glanced at him proudly without saying anything. I understand that the more you say, the more mistakes you make!
“Black Key! You got the key last time!” Xianxian looked at Lime in surprise. Lime simply nodded lightly in acknowledgment, remaining uninvolved in the conversation between Evil Bird, me, and Xianxian from start to finish. I believe that Lime's silence is more credible than anything he could say. Even Divine Hand was quietly pondering at this moment.
“You've improved a lot, but don't think you can fool me. Let's go!” Divine Hand said coldly while walking toward the center of the coffin.
When Divine Hand said this, he was looking at me. I knew he wouldn't easily believe what I said, so it didn't matter as I replied, “Whether you believe it or not is up to you; let's go.”
Once Divine Hand and the others walked far away, Xianxian smiled broadly and hurried over to me, asking, “Where's the Black Key? Hurry up and show it to me.”
