The young boy looked around in confusion. The dense forest was eerily quiet, with only the faint sound of the wind. Moonlight filtered through the leaves, casting mottled shadows. Suddenly, his eyes cleared, and in a swift motion, he grabbed Yui by the neck, glaring fiercely as he asked, "Who are you?"
"Benefactor... don't you remember me? It's Yui," she replied without struggling, knowing he couldn't hurt her anyway. She felt a bit sad that Benefactor had forgotten her, especially since she thought of him every day.
"I'm not your Benefactor, and I don't know you," the boy said darkly, his sharp gaze fixed on Yui as if he were looking at a corpse.
Why was Benefactor still acting this way? Humans were truly perplexing.
For some reason, Yui's presence seemed to loosen his grip. Suddenly, he let go, and Yui stood a short distance away. The boy stared at her intently and asked in a low voice, "What exactly are you?"
Yui feigned heartbreak and exclaimed, "I've already told you I'm Yui! It's Yui! You saved me before. Have you forgotten?"
Seeing that the boy still looked confused and guarded, Yui's eyes suddenly lit up. She clapped her hands and said, "How could I forget? I look different now than I did when I was little! But don't worry; you'll remember soon."
After saying this, Yui spun around in place. A light blue aura surrounded her as her body shrank rapidly until she transformed into a six or seven-year-old girl. She raised her face proudly and looked up at the boy, saying, "How about that? Do you believe me now?"
The boy's eyes widened in shock as he stumbled back two steps before suddenly rolling his eyes and fainting.
Yui quickly reverted to her original form and rushed over to gently kick him twice. "Hey, hey! No way! You used to just be surprised; it wasn't enough to make you faint! Come on... stop pretending and wake up!"
The boy indeed opened his eyes but continued to back away. Just as Yui was about to take a step closer, he shouted, "Don't come any closer! Are you a ghost?"
"Ghost, are you kidding me? I am a deity; you are insulting the divine too much." Yui pouted in grievance, while Little Flame burned in her dark eyes.
"You keep saying I am your Benefactor, but why?" The young man calmed down, realizing that Yui meant no harm. His mind quickly began to turn; a little girl, even if she were a deity, was still very innocent...
