Meng Shu was stunned.
Jiang Yu did not speak; he held Meng Shu's hand and walked toward the villa.
They entered the villa, which was decorated very luxuriously. Expensive oil paintings hung on the walls, exquisite furniture was placed throughout the rooms, and a faint scent of sandalwood filled the air, creating a comfortable atmosphere.
"This used to be Lu Huai's home," Jiang Yu said, his tone calm.
"Lu Huai lived here?" Meng Shu asked incredulously, her heart racing. She did not understand why Jiang Yu had brought her here or what secrets this place held.
"Yes, he once lived here," Jiang Yu affirmed, his tone certain and his gaze deep, as if conveying some message to Meng Shu.
"But... but Lu Huai is dead; his home no longer exists," Meng Shu said, confusion evident in her voice as she felt lost.
"Yes, he is dead, but what he left behind remains," Jiang Yu replied calmly, his eyes conveying a deeper secret to Meng Shu.
Meng Shu fell silent, looking at Jiang Yu, feeling as if she might explode with curiosity about what he wanted to tell her.
"What did he leave behind... what is it?" Meng Shu asked urgently, eager for an answer.
Jiang Yu looked at Meng Shu with deep affection in his eyes; he gently shook his head and said, "You will find out soon."
With that, he led Meng Shu up to the second floor of the villa. They walked down a long corridor until they finally reached a door.
He opened the door to a dark room, with only a faint light filtering through the window.
"This is what he left behind," Jiang Yu said, gesturing for Meng Shu to enter the room.
Meng Shu hesitated for a moment, looking at Jiang Yu with trepidation; she was unsure of what lay inside and what Jiang Yu wanted her to see.
"Come in," Jiang Yu said firmly, taking Meng Shu's hand and pulling her into the room.
Everything in the room was covered in dust; the furniture was thickly coated in grime, and an old smell permeated the air.
Meng Shu looked around the room, filled with complex emotions; she struggled to understand why Jiang Yu had brought her here and what secrets this place held.
"This used to be his favorite room," Jiang Yu said softly as he gently touched the furniture, nostalgia filling his eyes.
"What secret is here?" Meng Shu asked anxiously, eager for an answer.
"The secret lies right here," Jiang Yu said as he walked to a corner of the room and pointed at a desk there. "He wrote many things here."
Meng Shu approached the desk and carefully examined it; it was piled high with various books, each cover inscribed with different titles.
"Are these his notes from when he was alive?" Meng Shu asked, her tone tinged with curiosity as she wondered what they contained.
"Yes, these are all his notes from when he was alive," Jiang Yu replied calmly, looking at Meng Shu as if waiting for her next move.
Meng Shu gently picked up a notebook and began to flip through it carefully. The contents were filled with information about the "Obsidian" organization, detailing various secrets and conspiracies related to the group.
