In this vast open area, a decisive battle was unfolding, with both sides engaged in a fierce struggle, neither willing to back down.
Even the Minotaur and the Demon Sculptor were present, but they were merely spectators and did not join the fight. Dozens of people surrounded the scene, showing signs of wanting to intervene, but it seemed they were waiting for the right opportunity.
The combatants were two entities that Lu Chen and Yuanmo Laozu had never seen before. One was a humanoid creature entirely covered in gold; its appearance resembled that of a human, but its head was different. It wielded a Golden Staff.
Its appearance was peculiar, clad in armor that was pitch black inside, revealing only two eyes. Through conversations among the observing Minotaurs and others, it was learned that this being was the God of Magic from the Chaos Realm, known as the Golden Ancient One.
The Golden Ancient One was the God of Magic in the Chaos Realm, but whether he was good or evil remained unknown. Just by his descent from the Demon Thirteen Tombs and his intrusion to seize treasures, it was clear he could not be a benevolent figure.
On the other side stood a nine-headed serpent with nine snake heads and incredibly thick arms, holding a large Steel Fork while occasionally letting out furious roars.
This nine-headed serpent was even more sinister, one of the most notorious villains in the Chaos Realm. It operated alone, forming no alliances, and would rush to seize any treasure it learned about.
Its name was the Nine-Headed Demon Serpent. No one knew how it had managed to survive until now without dying.
At this moment, the Golden Ancient One was engaged in battle with the Nine-Headed Demon Serpent, creating an intimidating spectacle.
Comparatively, the Nine-Headed Demon Serpent was more ferocious; its movements were so massive that they frightened the Minotaurs and others into keeping their distance and observing from afar.
The Golden Ancient One, on the other hand, held his Golden Staff with great strength. His movements appeared slow but effectively pressured the Nine-Headed Demon Serpent, forcing it into a defensive position.
Just as Lu Chen and Yuanmo Laozu broke through the barrier, they briefly captured everyone's attention with their overwhelming presence.
The Golden Ancient One and the Nine-Headed Demon Serpent exchanged glances before resuming their battle; they seemed to disregard Lu Chen and Yuanmo Laozu entirely.
Meanwhile, the Minotaurs had already turned red with excitement, roaring as they prepared to charge in for a decisive battle.
"This really is a case of enemies meeting," Lu Chen said slowly to Yuanmo Laozu as he saw the Minotaur and Demon Sculptor among others.
Yuanmo Laozu opened his mouth wide and shouted at the Minotaur and the others, as if to demonstrate.
"The Divine Treasure Elixir has been consumed by the Nine-Headed Demon Serpent. Right now, its power is stored in the Horn on its middle head. We need to find an opportunity to cut off that Horn," Yuanmo Laozu stated.
Lu Chen focused his attention and indeed noticed that the middle head of the Nine-Headed Demon Serpent had grown a Horn, which was bright red. It seemed that the Divine Medicine should be located there.
The Nine-Headed Demon Serpent possessed the ability to seek treasures. When the Demon Thirteen Tombs descended upon Goat Path Peak, it was the first to know. Taking advantage of everyone's distraction, it quietly made its way to the Demon Lord's Tomb and retrieved the Divine Treasure Elixir from a gourd.
However, before it could refine the Divine Treasure Elixir, it was already being pursued by the Golden Ancient One. After a fierce battle, it found itself surrounded by the Minotaur and others, which made it somewhat anxious, prompting it to hide the Divine Treasure Elixir within its Horn.
At this moment, positions were clear: the Golden Ancient One and the Nine-Headed Demon Serpent were enemies, each wanting to claim the prize for themselves, leading to an early confrontation.
Meanwhile, dozens of beast clan leaders, including the Minotaur, surrounded them, likely hoping to take advantage of their mutual injuries before stepping in.
Although there were many Minotaurs, they were not united; each had their own schemes. They were merely standing within a Great Formation, and it was uncertain when they might split apart.
With Lu Chen and Yuanmo Laozu joining in, the situation became chaotic.
Seeing Lu Chen and Yuanmo Laozu arrive, the Minotaur roared and drew his magic blade, addressing those around him: "Leaders, I believe this battle will not yield results anytime soon. Why don't we deal with them first and then take on the Golden Ancient One and Nine-Headed Demon Serpent together? What do you think?"
A puddle of water condensed beneath the Minotaur's feet and transformed into a humanoid monster—the Water Demon had made his appearance.
The Minotaur's proposal was immediately supported by the Demon Sculptor and Water Demon; they were willing to join forces against Lu Chen and Yuanmo Laozu first.
The three of them collaborating against Yuanmo Laozu was nearly sufficient, but there were ulterior motives for wanting to involve other leaders as well.
"Ox, your feud with Yuanmo Laozu is a personal matter that everyone knows about. Why drag us all into this?"
A figure with a tiger head, wielding a thick-bladed machete, spoke coldly.
They were all leaders and rulers of their respective territories, and it was impossible for them to be easily deceived. They understood that Minotaur's actions would not benefit them at all.
"Tiger King is right. Minotaur and Yuanmo Laozu have a grudge, and they want to pull us down with them, fearing we might take advantage of the situation later."
Another creature with a bird head and human body chimed in sharply.
Minotaur snorted coldly and said, "Tiger Head, Eagle, your opinions do not represent everyone. Last time Yuanmo Laozu led an ambush in the North, I don't believe only I and Demon Sculptor suffered losses; I think other leaders also faced significant damage."
Upon hearing this from Minotaur, most leaders lowered their heads. Indeed, Yuanmo Laozu's last ambush in the North had brought tremendous disaster, causing many races to suffer great losses.
Then Minotaur continued, "If you dare not listen to me, then next time I will no longer step forward to organize an alliance against Yuanmo Laozu. At that point, each of you will have to deal with your own problems."
With these words from Minotaur, everyone had to ponder. Minotaur possessed a charisma that others did not have in the North; when he called out, most of the time he received a response.
The last time Yuanmo Laozu attacked the North, it was under Minotaur's leadership that an alliance was formed to resist him. And as everyone knew, Minotaur successfully drove away Yuanmo Laozu, gaining immense prestige. Opposing him would surely lead to unfavorable outcomes.
Through threats and persuasion, Minotaur firmly pulled everyone into the fray to confront Lu Chen and Yuanmo Laozu, achieving his goal.
Soon after, dozens of Beast Clan Leaders turned their gazes toward Lu Chen and Yuanmo Laozu, their faces showing hostility.
With a loud roar from Minotaur, they all surged forward, charging at Lu Chen and Yuanmo Laozu.
Yuanmo Laozu manifested his towering ten-zhang form and shouted loudly, " Ox, last time you surrounded me with so many people but failed. This time will not necessarily be different. Come at me together; what is there to fear?"
"The Divine Treasure Elixir is inside the Horn of the Nine-Headed Serpent. You must find a way to cut it off. I'll go hold off the Ox and their group; it's up to you now," Yuanmo Laozu said.
Lu Chen nodded and replied, "You can go without worry; I'll take care of the Nine-Headed Demon Serpent."
With Lu Chen's assurance, Yuanmo Laozu leaped high, diving into the midst of the Beast Clan Leaders and began to unleash a fierce attack.
Lu Chen glanced at the Nine-Headed Demon Serpent and the Golden Ancient One. Their battle was still ongoing and intensifying, showing no signs of stopping, with neither side clearly gaining the upper hand.
Without hesitation, Lu Chen soared high into the air, flying close to the top of the Underground Palace and landing on the outskirts of the battlefield between the Golden Ancient One and the Nine-Headed Demon Serpent.
He did not rush to intervene; given the current situation, it was not yet his time to act. If he recklessly charged in and got injured, it would be troublesome—he could end up losing everything.
As Lu Chen stood aside observing the battle, he heard faint sounds of playful scuffling beneath him, as if many demons were fighting.
Looking down, he saw numerous water droplets coalescing at his feet, about to form a figure.
Realizing what was happening, Lu Chen snorted coldly, knowing that a Water Demon was attempting a sneak attack. He immediately jumped aside just as the Water Demon fully materialized.
It was clear that the Water Demon had prepared a powerful move for Lu Chen; if he hadn't dodged in time, he might have been seriously injured.
"You despicable creature! How dare you ambush me? You'll pay for this," Lu Chen shouted angrily at the Water Demon.
This fellow had strange abilities; anywhere there was water became his domain, allowing him to move freely. Especially in wet conditions, his power doubled compared to normal.
"Oh? Where did this Human Offspring come from? Quite alert, aren't you?"
The Water Demon took on a humanoid form, its features twisted and hard to discern. Its voice was peculiar, neither distinctly male nor female.
"You want me to pay the price? That depends on whether you have the ability to do so. Even Void Immortal hasn't entered, so I wonder where you get your courage to say that," said the Water Demon.
Lu Chen was unafraid, standing tall and taking a step forward. "Are you the Water Demon? May I ask if the Crystal Palace at the bottom of the sea belongs to you?"
Upon hearing this, the Water Demon immediately became cautious. "What of it? Could it be..."
Lu Chen chuckled lightly and replied, "I knew that the Water Demon was cunning and treacherous. Did you think I would come to deal with you unprepared?"
"What did you say?" The Water Demon grew anxious. Upon arriving at the Crystal Palace, his face turned green, indicating how important the palace was to him; it was his stronghold.
At the bottom of the sea near the Wasteland Continent, there was a Crystal Palace, which served as the lair of the Water Demon.
That Crystal Palace was essentially the lifeblood of the Water Demon, his foundation for standing equal with beings like the Minotaur and commanding the seas, all thanks to the Crystal Palace.
"You dare to lay a hand on my Crystal Palace?" The Water Demon exclaimed in exasperation.
