Except for Naval Minister Adolf sitting at the top, Princess Zhulan, Sun Zizhao, Lu Chen, Prince Fu Huangfu Qi, and Chen Qilin were seated on either side, while Old Mu and Lian Dashuang had gone out to keep watch.
In fact, the Naval Minister's Residence was heavily guarded, so there was no need for a lookout; Old Mu and Lian Dashuang were simply doing their jobs.
Adolf widened his eyes like bronze bells, glancing at everyone present except for Princess Zhulan, staring at them like a tiger ready to pounce, his eyes gleaming with ferocity as if he were about to devour someone.
“Uncle, please don’t do this!” Suddenly, Princess Zhulan spoke up, surprisingly calling Adolf "uncle," which shocked everyone.
The Naval Minister of Yushan Kingdom, Adolf, was actually Princess Zhulan's uncle!
No wonder Adolf dared to come to Princess Zhulan's side in such a situation; it seemed he was a brave man who feared nothing and was straightforward enough to give up his ministerial position for family ties.
“Princess Zhulan, what kind of friends are these?” Adolf's gaze settled on Chen Qilin, making his meaning clear.
Chen Qilin realized he was in a precarious situation; it was likely his unyielding demeanor that sparked controversy. He immediately felt the urge to explode and charge over to start a fight.
“Uncle, we are here to discuss something important with you,” Princess Zhulan said.
“What is it? Do they have the qualifications to discuss it with me?” Adolf's voice was deep and commanding like that of a lion.
“It’s about seizing the throne!” Knowing that Adolf looked down on Lu Chen and the others, Princess Zhulan got straight to the point and presented the favorable aspects of the matter.
“Seizing the throne? You don’t need to worry about that; we will naturally have experts from the Tu Family come over. This minister has never feared Cah Er Hei and his group!”
The Tu Family was one of the Seven Great Families of the Demon King Dynasty. From Adolf's tone, it seemed that the Tu Family would fully support their involvement in seizing the throne. No wonder he sounded so confident.
If that were the case, then Princess Zhulan's relationship with the Tu Family was not so simple; perhaps they were even blood relatives. Only blood relatives would go out of their way to help them seize the throne.
“Uncle, please listen to me first!” Princess Zhulan persuaded Adolf and then recounted the matter regarding the Source Stone.
“Who is Lu Chen?” Suddenly, Adolf raised his head and looked around at several people. He had heard Lu Chen's name repeatedly in Princess Zhulan's words and seemed to think it was significant, hence his question.
Lu Chen licked his lips, left his seat, stood up in front of everyone, cupped his hands confidently, and said, “I am Lu Chen!”
“You are Lu Chen, the Third Generation Leader of Red Robe Sect?” Adolf stared directly at Lu Chen with an imposing presence that nearly pierced through Lu Chen's flesh with his gaze.
Lu Chen stood firm, his body straight and unafraid, saying, "It is indeed me!"
Adolf snorted coldly and replied, "You have the demeanor, but I heard Princess Zhulan speak highly of your skills. I wonder how good they really are?"
Adolf's tone clearly indicated he wanted to spar, and Lu Chen could easily pick up on that.
Lu Chen blinked and said, "Lord Adolf, you can come over for a spar."
"Hmm?" Adolf was taken aback at first. He thought Lu Chen would refuse, but to his surprise, Lu Chen directly invited him to spar. This was clearly a provocation against the Naval Minister's Residence.
Lu Chen believed that if he could spar with Adolf and defeat him on the spot, it would give him a lot of confidence for the negotiations.
However, Adolf was also a clever man and was not easily fooled. He disdainfully said, "I have no interest in sparring with you. Wolf Ba, you go teach this kid a lesson, but don't injure him too badly; after all, he is a friend of Princess Zhulan."
"Uncle, let's forget about it. We are here to discuss matters, not to fight," Princess Zhulan quickly intervened. She didn't understand how things escalated to this point; it wouldn't be good for her regardless of which side got hurt.
Sun Zizhao and the others were also very worried. Wolf Ba seemed like a formidable character; if he injured Lu Chen, it would be a serious problem.
Adolf raised his hand and pushed Princess Zhulan aside, saying, "You are quite arrogant. Wolf Ba is the bravest warrior in my Navy. If you can defeat him, I will seriously discuss matters with you. But if he injures you severely or breaks your limbs, don't blame me for being ruthless."
"Is Lord Adolf serious?" Lu Chen squinted at the Naval Minister.
While everyone was worried for Lu Chen, he seemed completely unaware of the danger he was putting himself in. No one understood what Lu Chen was really planning.
"I never boast without backing it up," the Naval Minister said, his mustache twitching with excitement as he dramatically waved his sleeve.
"Then fine, I Lu Chen will spar with Lord Adolf's bravest warrior right here in this hall," Lu Chen declared. He intended to test his skills against Wolf Ba, the bravest warrior of Dama Town's Navy, right in this hall.
Wolf Ba was the burly man with a bare upper body and fierce looks who stood beside the Naval Minister listening to the conversation. His imposing presence could intimidate an ordinary person into trembling just by looking at him.
He had been standing quietly until Lu Chen's few words ignited his anger; as the bravest warrior of Dama Town's Navy, he felt his authority had been challenged.
"Hmph." Wolf Ba let out a cold grunt from his large nose and then stepped forward, positioning himself five steps away from Lu Chen in the center of the hall to confront him.
At this moment, compared to Wolf Ba, Lu Chen looked as frail as a rooster. He and Wolf Ba locked eyes, both needing to lift their heads.
Wolf Ba let out a roar that sounded like thunder exploding in the ears, simultaneously opening his arms and lunging at Lu Chen.
Wolf Ba was incredibly fast, grabbing Lu Chen by the shoulders as if an adult were picking up a child.
Lu Chen stretched out his hands, barely able to reach Wolf Ba's waist. Suddenly, Lu Chen's eyes widened in astonishment because holding onto Wolf Ba's waist felt like grasping a water tank—immensely large.
With another loud roar, Wolf Ba lifted Lu Chen high into the air, instantly raising him a foot off the ground.
Lu Chen's shoulders were gripped tightly by Wolf Ba, rendering him immobile. His head was level with Wolf Ba's, and he could see Wolf Ba's eyes, which were as large as walnuts. The nostrils were filled with coarse hairs, and his teeth were as big as fingernails; a breath from him felt like a gust of wind blowing directly at Lu Chen.
"Bang bang bang," Lu Chen curled his legs and kicked fiercely at Wolf Ba's belly several times. Each kick produced dull thuds, feeling as if he were kicking a hay target—there was no reaction at all.
"Hard Qigong," Lu Chen realized that inside Wolf Ba's belly was a reservoir of True Qi. It was this unyielding True Qi that made him an undefeated warrior.
Wolf Ba excelled in momentum and powerful Flesh; however, his Qigong cultivation was not very high, probably around the second stage of Unity of Man. Yet with such a massive physique, it seemed difficult for him to blend into the earth.
Lu Chen quickly analyzed Wolf Ba's strengths and weaknesses. He excelled in Flesh; among Qi Masters of similar levels, no one could match him. However, he also suffered due to his Flesh.
Since Wolf Ba relied on overwhelming momentum to intimidate his enemies, Lu Chen decided to extinguish that momentum fiercely!
Lu Chen's Flesh trembled as he unleashed a surge of intense True Qi from within, forcefully pushing Wolf Ba away. Then he dropped to the ground and rolled aside quickly, springing up like a cunning Raccoon while simultaneously executing the Ape Demon Arm technique, causing his arm to extend half a foot longer, nearly reaching his knees.
Wolf Ba staggered back three steps after being shaken by Lu Chen, displaying a hint of shock on his face. Alongside the shock was excitement—a desire for full-throttle combat.
Seeing Lu Chen evade him, he immediately moved his massive Flesh forward, jumping to try and capture Lu Chen.
Wolf Ba's large hand spread open like a tiger's claw, glinting coldly as it came down.
Lu Chen sidestepped with a thrilling arc, causing Naval Minister Adolf to rise from his seat with gleaming eyes.
This move was none other than Lu Chen's own creation: Ape Demon Grabs the Moon. His arm swept down like a monkey standing on a rock—forceful enough to attack while also serving as a means to evade attacks.
Lu Chen dodged to the side of Wolf Ba, waiting for the right moment, and swung his Ape Demon Arm forward, striking directly at Wolf Ba's waist.
Wolf Ba was large and quick to react, turning around and throwing a punch that cut through the air. His arm was as thick as a sea bowl, creating a buzzing sound as it sliced through the air.
Lu Chen executed a Fairy Leap, jumping high into the air and clearing Wolf Ba's head, then performed a Crane Demon Strike, diving down with force. "Bang bang bang," his feet landed heavily on Wolf Ba's back.
Wolf Ba stumbled forward a few steps, his body sinking slightly before he managed to stabilize himself, almost getting kicked down.
As Lu Chen landed, without giving Wolf Ba a chance to react, he let out a loud roar. With arms wide open and fingers spread like a grinding stone, he aimed directly for Wolf Ba's head.
Lu Chen continued to throw punches, his techniques accompanied by the roar of the Ape Demon. This was another breakthrough in his realm, allowing him to produce sounds during combat.
The sounds emitted by the Ape Demon Arm were naturally the roars of the Ape Demon, shaking the mountains and forests.
