Liu Guanfeng found an inn called Wang Xing. In front of the inn was a three-story restaurant, and behind it were guest rooms, including three courtyards used as private dining areas. Liu Guanfeng booked one courtyard for a few young people to rest. Except for Liu Guanfeng and Bao Rui, who each had their own room, the others shared rooms with two people each.
At this time, it was already dusk. Liu Guanfeng looked at the sky and said to the others, "Let's stay here for now. After we finish our business, we will leave." Liu Guanfeng led a few attendants to the third floor of the restaurant and found a private room, then ordered a table full of dishes. Since they had been busy traveling from Huaxing Kingdom without having a proper meal, the brothers Copper Bull's eyes lit up at the sight of such a sumptuous feast. They couldn't care less about others and started eating immediately.
At first, Song Haitao was a bit reserved, but after he saw Copper Bull and Iron Bull snatch food away from him twice in a row, he forgot his restraint and even put down his utensils to grab food with his hands, which made Li Xiaohan smile.
Wang Jiao completely disregarded her image as a refined lady and followed Copper Bull and Iron Bull's example by grabbing food with her hands. This caused Bao Rui, who was sitting next to her, to constantly wipe her hands; otherwise, when Wang Jiao felt her hands were too greasy, Bao Rui's clothes would be in trouble.
Amidst the fierce competition for food among the lively group, the entire table of dishes disappeared without a trace. Iron Bull, being an old hand at snatching food, was now rubbing his round belly in discomfort. At this moment, Wang Jiao felt quite regretful; she had been so focused on competing for food that she ended up overeating. Now she kept tapping Bao Rui with both hands as a post-meal exercise while complaining that Bao Rui didn't remind her to eat less.
After the young people returned to their rooms, Liu Guanfeng told them, "You must be careful here; this place is not like others. If danger truly arises, I might not be able to protect you."
Bao Rui and the others nodded in agreement. Copper Bull then asked Liu Guanfeng, "Third Brother, when do you plan to find that old man called Qifeng Ge?"
"I'll go after breakfast tomorrow morning; for tonight, everyone should rest."
"Long live Little Madman!" Only Wang Jiao called Liu Guanfeng this way. Hearing that Liu Guanfeng allowed them to rest for a night meant that Bao Rui could accompany her shopping again, which made her very happy. Although everyone usually liked to joke around, when it came to serious matters, Wang Jiao would act accordingly. Whenever Liu Guanfeng became serious, everyone behind him would obey without question. So Wang Jiao only called him that when there were no outsiders around. Especially after all the knights were killed in Huaxing Kingdom, Wang Jiao enjoyed calling Liu Guanfeng by this name even more. After several ineffective protests from Liu Guanfeng, he eventually let Wang Jiao continue calling him that.
After they returned to their rooms and freshened up with a change of clothes, Liu Guanfeng knocked on Li Xiaohan's door. It was Wang Jiao who opened it and smiled mischievously: "Little Madman, what are you doing here?"
"What else could I be doing? Of course I'm not here looking for you; I'm here looking for my future wife."
"You really have no shame! You're so young and already thinking about marrying? And saying this before Li Xiaohan has even entered your home—be careful she might not want you anymore."
"If you keep talking like this, I'll have Bao Rui not want you anymore; do you believe me?" Liu Guanfeng joked as he pretended to frown.
This statement frightened Wang Jiao because she knew Bao Rui listened very well to Liu Guanfeng. If Liu Guanfeng really made such a request of Bao Rui, it might very well become reality. At this moment, Wang Jiao gently tugged at Liu Guanfeng's sleeve: "Alright, Third Brother, I was wrong! Can't you let it go? Please spare me this little girl."
Liu Guanfeng was completely unprepared for Wang Jiao's actions, as no one had ever acted so coquettishly towards him. He was momentarily stunned, and then he heard Li Xiaohan's voice behind Wang Jiao: "Alright, Wang Jiao, stop being so clingy with Xiaofeng. If Bao Rui sees this, he'll get jealous." Upon hearing that Bao Rui would be jealous, Wang Jiao immediately released her grip and started looking around to see if Bao Rui had noticed her.
Li Xiaohan walked past Wang Jiao and approached Liu Guanfeng, pulling his hand and saying, "What are you standing there for? Let's go."
Only then did Liu Guanfeng snap back to reality. He thought to himself: No wonder Bao Rui listens to Wang Jiao so well; this girl really knows how to charm people. Coupled with her innocent little face, it only amplified her charm. Liu Guanfeng shook his head and tightened his grip on Li Xiaohan's hand, saying to Wang Jiao, "We're leaving now," before heading out of the inn.
As Liu Guanfeng held Li Xiaohan's hand while walking down the street, he realized he hadn't felt this way in a long time. So, he and Li Xiaohan walked side by side at a leisurely pace. Liu Guanfeng said to Li Xiaohan, "Xiaohan, how about I take you to pick out some clothes?"
Li Xiaohan nodded. When they met in Rain City, she didn't have a single complete outfit. By the time they arrived in Bixi City, she had over twenty sets of clothes inside and out. Every time they visited a new city, Liu Guanfeng would take Li Xiaohan to choose a few outfits. As long as Li Xiaohan looked good in them, he would buy them without hesitation, regardless of the price.
At the clothing store, Liu Guanfeng bought four more outfits for Li Xiaohan and then took her to try some snacks. As the crowd on the street began to thin out, Liu Guanfeng and Li Xiaohan slowly made their way back toward the inn.
When they returned to the inn, everyone else had already come back. At that moment, Wang Jiao was saying goodbye to Bao Rui. Upon seeing Liu Guanfeng and Li Xiaohan enter with their arms full of items, Wang Jiao smiled brightly at them: "How could you two bear to come back? I told you, Crazy Girl, did you rob someone’s shop?"
Liu Guanfeng chuckled: "We just got back too! Let’s not point fingers at anyone here. It's getting late; everyone should head back to their rooms and get some sleep. We have things to do tomorrow."
Bao Rui nodded and said to Wang Jiao: "I'm going back to my room to sleep now; you should rest early too." After bidding farewell to Wang Jiao, Bao Rui also said goodbye to Liu Guanfeng and Li Xiaohan before heading off to sleep.
After handing over the items to Li Xiaohan, Liu Guanfeng returned to his own room. As for whether the two girls could sleep once they got back to their rooms, that was beyond Liu Guanfeng's concern.
The next morning, after breakfast, Liu Guanfeng told them: "I need to visit the Blacksmith Guild shortly. Bao Rui and Copper Bull will accompany me; the rest of you can wait here at the inn for now. If anything comes up, we can discuss it when we return." Liu Guanfeng left XP at the inn for everyone's safety.
Liu Guanfeng set off toward the Blacksmith Guild with Bao Rui and Copper Bull while riding his mount. The last time they passed through Bixi City, Liu Guanfeng had already found out where the Blacksmith Guild was located. This time he made sure to choose an inn close to it.
After about ten minutes of walking, they arrived at a building where a bald middle-aged man stood in front holding a massive hammer. When Liu Guanfeng saw this statue, he couldn't help but smile because it was none other than his Xuanwu Master. It dawned on him that what Xuanwu said was not an exaggeration; in the hearts of blacksmiths in Knight's Continent, he was indeed a supreme deity.
The three boys slowly entered the Blacksmith Guild. The entire first floor was a massive weapon exhibition hall filled with various weapons, shields, and armor hanging on all sides. There was also a large counter at the front desk for receiving guests. After taking a look around, Liu Guanfeng shook his head; although they had not been exposed to forging techniques for long, they were all taught directly by Xuanwu and had excellent judgment. While the quality of weapons displayed here was decent compared to other blacksmith shops, it still did not meet the standards of Liu Guanfeng and his companions' discerning eyes.
Liu Guanfeng turned around and headed straight for the second floor. The guards on the first floor did not try to stop Liu Guanfeng and his companions when they saw them heading upstairs, as the clothes worn by the three were clearly of high quality, indicating they were from a wealthy family. Such guests were not ones they could afford to offend.
As Liu Guanfeng and his companions stepped onto the second floor, they found various pieces of equipment displayed at different counters, each labeled with the name of its creator. It seemed this was indeed a boutique section, and Liu Guanfeng observed everything with interest.
The quality of the equipment on the second floor was noticeably better than that on the first floor, showcasing the craftsmanship of skilled artisans. Liu Guanfeng wanted to see if there was a counter for Qifeng Ge; as the President of the guild, his display would be the largest, located right in the center of the second floor. At that moment, many people were already gathered around that counter. Liu Guanfeng and his companions moved closer.
When Liu Guanfeng approached the counter, he saw that there were only five pieces on display. These included the Qimei Staff, a shield, dual axes, armor, and a Greatsword. Each piece had a label underneath stating "Not for Sale." Liu Guanfeng smiled slightly; he hadn't expected Qifeng Ge to be such a notable figure. The purpose of these five pieces was clearly to serve as a signature showcase.
Many people had come specifically to see Qifeng Ge's works, including several blacksmiths from other cities whose main goal was to learn from them; observing Qifeng Ge's creations might inspire them. There were also many knights present simply to satisfy their curiosity; since they couldn't buy anything, looking was still an option.
Liu Guanfeng examined Qifeng Ge's five pieces closely. Each piece corresponded to one of the five elements, demonstrating Qifeng Ge's high level of skill. However, Liu Guanfeng did not offer much commentary on these works because behind him were Twin Iron Halberds of comparable quality. Yet, those halberds were made from ordinary iron. In terms of sharpness alone, his iron spear surpassed those dual axes.
Copper Bull quietly tugged at Bao Rui's sleeve and whispered, "Little Bun, what do you think about the things made by Qifeng Ge?"
Bao Rui glanced at Qifeng Ge's pieces again and replied, "They're okay." In truth, Bao Rui's assessment was quite fair; it could only be considered acceptable given that many excellent materials had been used to create such items. This was also due to being around Xuanwu, which had spoiled their tastes.
Although Bao Rui and Copper Bull were not speaking loudly, there were simply too many people around them in the crowd. As a result, others overheard their conversation. The onlookers could be considered fans of Qifeng Ge; such comments were unacceptable.
One middle-aged man who looked like a blacksmith turned around and glared at Bao Rui angrily: "Which family are you from? How dare you evaluate Master Qi's work like that? Does your family have no upbringing?"
Bao Rui remained silent, but Copper Bull was incensed by this remark. He shot back with narrowed eyes: "Hey there, uncle! If you want to look, just look properly. When did it become your turn to interrupt our conversation? Didn't your elders teach you not to interrupt others when they're speaking?"
