Liu Guanfeng followed Teacher Yuepeng to the door of Dean Su's dormitory. Teacher Yuepeng knocked on the door, saying, "Dean Su, I brought Liu Guanfeng with me."
"Let him in," came Dean Su's voice from inside the room.
"You can go in now," Teacher Yuepeng said before stepping aside.
Liu Guanfeng gently pushed the door open and saw that there were three people in the room: Dean Su, a middle-aged man he didn't recognize, and Xie Siqi, the one he had just killed, the Gorilla. Upon seeing Xie Siqi, Liu Guanfeng immediately understood why Dean Su had called him over.
After closing the door behind him, Liu Guanfeng bowed deeply to Dean Su, saying, "Student Liu Guanfeng pays his respects to Dean Su."
Dean Su nodded and said, "Liu Guanfeng, let me introduce you. This is Vice Dean Ding Dakai from Starlight Academy." He gestured towards the middle-aged man beside him.
Liu Guanfeng quickly saluted again, "Greetings, Vice Dean Ding Dakai."
As soon as the middle-aged man saw Liu Guanfeng bowing to him, he let out a grunt.
Liu Guanfeng thought to himself that it was no wonder there were students like Xie Siqi; even the vice dean had such a temperament. How good could the students be?
Ding Dakai looked at Liu Guanfeng and said, "Liu Guanfeng, I want to hear your explanation about what happened this afternoon."
Dean Su frowned at Ding Dakai's tone; after all, Liu Guanfeng was his student. How could he be questioned like a criminal?
While Dean Su was displeased with Ding Dakai's questioning, Liu Guanfeng chose not to respond to Ding Dakai.
Seeing that Liu Guanfeng ignored him, Ding Dakai slammed his hand on the table in anger. "Kid, I'm talking to you! Did you hear me?"
Liu Guanfeng lifted his eyelids towards Ding Dakai and replied, "I heard you."
"Then why aren't you answering me?"
Liu Guanfeng smiled, "Why should I answer you? You're not my dean. My dean hasn't told me to explain myself."
Upon hearing Liu Guanfeng's words, Dean Su straightened his already upright posture. There was nothing he could do; this kid spoke with such conviction. Dean Su cleared his throat:
"Liu Guanfeng, why don't you tell Dean Ding about what happened this afternoon? Don't worry, I will support you."
Liu Guanfeng bowed again to Dean Su and then looked at Ding Dakai.
"Dean Ding, the whole situation is like this: yesterday, the person behind you, Xie Siqi, used the excuse of a competition to injure two of my subordinates' mounts."
Ding Dakai looked at Liu Guanfeng and said, "Injuries are normal in competitions."
Liu Guanfeng nodded, "That's right, injuries are normal. However, one of my subordinate's mounts was injured after it had already conceded. It was nearly crippled and is currently being observed by the Beastmaster. Is that also considered normal?"
At this point, Xie Siqi retorted, "That was because he conceded too slowly. Before I could shout for my mount to stop, your Fire Wolf was hit by my King Kong."
Liu Guanfeng looked at Xie Siqi and replied, "If you're saying that you couldn't shout for your mount to stop before it hit the Fire Wolf, I can give you an explanation too: I hadn't had the chance to tell my mount to go easy on your King Kong before it was finished off. Xie Siqi, your reasoning is simply too weak.

"What ten gold coins?" Ding Dakai turned to look at Xie Siqi.
Xie Siqi immediately shook his head, "That's not true. Dean Ding, don't listen to his nonsense."
"Since you don't want to speak up, let me help you out. If I'm not mistaken, it should be someone from the Chen Family named Chen Whirlwind who asked you to injure my subordinate's mount. He promised you money for injuring just one mount, which is why you sought out Bao Rui. After injuring Bao Rui's Fire Wolf, Copper Bull went to take revenge and was also defeated by your Black King Kong and severely injured.
You injured two of my subordinates in total. So last night, when you went to the small grove outside the school to report back to Chen Whirlwind, he rewarded you with ten gold coins for it, right?"
"That's not true! You're slandering me! Dean Ding, don't believe him!" Xie Siqi panicked immediately; anyone could see that he was guilty.

But I want to ask you, when I came looking for you today, why was there no one in the Arena? And why were your people guarding the front of the Arena? Were you waiting for me?"
"That's right, I was waiting for you. Your subordinate was attacked, so you would definitely come for revenge, which is why I waited."
"That makes sense." Liu Guanfeng nodded in agreement with Xie Siqi's reasoning. "Now let me ask you, do you think my second-tier Mount has the strength to fight your Black King Kong? And what did you mean by making me sign the Death Agreement right from the start?"

Yesterday, two of my subordinates' Mounts were nearly killed. Did we come to seek justice from you?" A series of questions from Liu Guanfeng left Xie Siqi sitting on the ground.
At this moment, Ding Dakai had already understood the situation. He had heard about Xie Siqi before. Growing up in a not-so-wealthy family, he still chose a Gorilla during the Knight's Initial Assessment. The fifty gold coins needed were borrowed from various places before he could buy it. After acquiring it, in order to help his family pay off debts, Xie Siqi often helped others fight and earned rewards from it.
So it was entirely possible that someone asked him to deal with Liu Guanfeng. Hearing Liu Guanfeng's explanation and observing Xie Siqi's demeanor made things clear for Ding Dakai.

Ding Dakai shook his head: "It's all because of my child; he always gets into trouble. I will definitely give him a stern talking-to when I get back." He glanced at the still-seated Xie Siqi. "Aren't you coming with me?" He then cupped his fist again towards Dean Su: "I will take my leave now."
"Then I won't see you off. Take care." Dean Su stood up to escort Ding Dakai out of the room.
Back in his dormitory, Dean Su looked at Liu Guanfeng: "How could you get yourself into such big trouble? Do you know that Xie Siqi is a key player in the individual challenges at Starlight Academy, as well as being a main competitor in both the Mount challenge and the hunting portion of the Campus Competition? Now that you've killed his Mount, both challenges will need new participants."
Liu Guanfeng bowed slightly to Dean Su: "I apologize for causing trouble, Dean Su. I will be more careful next time. But that Xie Siqi really went too far; not only did he severely injure Bao Rui's Mount, but he also wanted to kill my xp directly. There was nothing I could do."
Dean Su patted Liu Guanfeng on the shoulder. "It's okay, don't worry. The dean will support you. Remember not to let your emotions influence you, and make sure to take care of Bao Rui's work as well, so they won't be too upset. We don't want that to affect the upcoming competition. Now go and rest."
Inside the Golden Class Dormitory Building, Ding Dakai had returned to his room, followed by Xie Siqi. Ding Dakai sat down on a chair. "Xie Siqi, can you tell me in detail what happened?"
Xie Siqi lowered her head. "I'm sorry, Dean. Here's what happened..." It turned out that after Chen Yuer found Chen Whirlwind last time, she asked him to take revenge. Chen Whirlwind sought advice from Dong Ning, who suggested that he find a contestant and create trouble for Liu Guanfeng's three subordinates to provoke Liu Guanfeng, allowing him to vent his frustration.
He also promised that if he defeated one of the subordinates' Mounts, he would receive five gold coins; if he defeated Liu Guanfeng's Mount, he would get twenty gold coins; and if he killed it, he would receive forty coins.
Hearing this, Ding Dakai shook his head. "Alright, let's end this matter here. You can leave now."
Xie Siqi did not leave immediately but said to Ding Dakai, "Dean Ding, could you arrange for me to team up with Liu Guanfeng in the individual Campus Competition? I want to take revenge for my Black King Kong."
Ding Dakai's expression darkened. "Everything must prioritize the interests of the academy. Your personal grudges should be settled after the Campus Competition. If you cause any problems during the competition, I won't let you off easy. Now leave."
"Yes." Xie Siqi left Ding Dakai's office with her head down.
The matter passed like this, and whether Xie Siqi harbored hatred in her heart was of no concern to Liu Guanfeng. On the night of the ninth, teachers from the five academies gathered in Meteor Academy's conference room to discuss the grouping for the upcoming competition.
According to last year's rules, the first-place academy from last year would send one Mount and an individual Seed Player directly into the third round. Each of the five academies would send five participants for the competition. Last year's champion was Starfall City's Noble Academy and Meteor Academy, which sent a Seed Player named Ji Hu, who is one of the three great generals of Starfall City and the second son of Ji Tiangang.
Ji Hu's Mount is a Sixth Tier Golden Light Tiger, while Ji Tiangang's Mount is an Eighth Rank Golden Light Tiger. The Season Family is also known as Golden Light Tiger Season Family. Ji Hu can be considered a talented young boy; he became a mid-level Junior Knight just after turning ten.
