Have you heard about the shocking Wuhan Noodle Shop Beheading Case?
This incident is simply jaw-dropping!
Just because the price of noodles at the Noodle Shop increased by one yuan, the perpetrator brutally beheaded the owner with a kitchen knife and casually tossed the head into a garbage bin.
After this case, the perpetrator successfully controlled the price of Wuhan Hot Dry Noodles, ensuring it did not increase for nearly a decade.
Let's rewind to 2017, when the Wuchang Railway Station police station received a report of a murder at a Noodle Shop near the train station.
The police immediately sprang into action and rushed to the scene. When they arrived, they found the area surrounded by a crowd.
As the officers pushed through the crowd, they were met with a gruesome sight: a man lay on the ground with a cardboard box over his head, surrounded by blood.
Once the box was removed, it became clear that the victim's head was missing.
The assailant did not flee but instead sat quietly on the steps in front of the Noodle Shop.
The perpetrator appeared to be in his twenties, small in stature, dressed lightly, and covered in blood on both his body and face.
Upon investigation, police found the severed head in a nearby food waste bin, likely cut off with the kitchen knife.
This case spread rapidly throughout the local area, leaving people shocked and terrified as they speculated about the assailant's motives and background.
"He choked me!" the killer said, lowering his head with an expressionless face.
Upon hearing this, the police exchanged glances, filled with confusion. This brief and vague response made the entire case shrouded in mystery.
After investigation, the witnesses provided some key information. According to their descriptions, the motive for the killer's actions seemed to stem from a mere one yuan difference in noodle prices.
One witness recalled, "At that time, the killer entered the Noodle Shop with two other people. They looked dirty and were dressed plainly, like outsiders. The killer ordered a bowl of plain noodles, and after finishing, when he went to pay, the owner told him each bowl cost five yuan. The killer looked at the menu on the wall, which clearly stated four yuan per bowl. So, he questioned the owner."
The owner quickly explained that they had just adjusted the prices in the past couple of days, but the new price sign had not yet been made. However, the killer seemed unwilling to accept this explanation and became agitated.
"I thought it was just a normal argument; I never expected it would escalate like this..." another witness said with lingering fear.
The police are continuing to investigate this case, hoping to find more clues to unravel this hard-to-believe motive.
But in the end... the reason for the incident truly was just a matter of one yuan that led to bloodshed.
According to the reconstruction by those present at the scene: The owner said it was five yuan, while the killer completely disagreed and insisted on paying what was written on the wall.
This led to an argument between them; after a few exchanges, they started fighting. The killer was weak and suffered during the scuffle, getting punched several times by the owner who had him by the throat. After being pulled apart by others, the killer ran into the kitchen, grabbed a kitchen knife, and rushed out swinging it wildly at the owner.
After being stabbed several times, the owner desperately ran towards the door but stumbled on the steps and fell to the ground.
The killer immediately chased after him, wildly slashing with the knife until he decapitated the owner and threw his head into a bucket outside the shop.
When the police retrieved information about the murderer, they discovered that he was a mental patient with a severe tendency for violence. He had received treatment several years ago but had not recovered.
Some attempted to use this as a defense for him, but after multiple assessments, it was determined that the murderer had the capacity to act during the crime.
Ultimately, the murderer was sentenced to life imprisonment, with a two-year suspension of execution.
