"What kind of people are they? Why do they want to hurt us? Mother!" A strong young man with dark skin, dressed in animal skins and carrying a bow, looked tearfully at a plain-looking woman lying in a pool of blood.
"Li Ge..." Ye Mingshang murmured in his heart.
"I will kill you!" The strong young man glared with fierce eyes, like an angry leopard.
He drew his bow smoothly and powerfully.
"Whoosh!"
The arrow left the string like a bolt of lightning, reaching the black-clad man who had killed his mother in the blink of an eye. With a "thud," the sharp arrow pierced through his chest, continuing its momentum to break the arm of another black-clad man before flying over a hundred meters away, finally stopping after smashing into a large stone half a person's height. The arrows were embedded in the stone, their tails still trembling from the residual force, producing a buzzing sound.
It was only at this moment that the black-clad man, shot through by the arrow, reacted, his exposed eyes filled with disbelief as he looked at the blood hole in his chest, watching blood spurt out and soak his black clothing, staining the ground red.
"Thud!" The black-clad man's body fell helplessly from the air, crashing heavily to the ground. Even in death, his eyes remained fixed on the beast-clad youth who had drawn the bow and shot like a divine being.
Li Ge was the best hunter in the village; every arrow he shot could kill a lion. Whenever he entered the mountains, wild beasts would flee at the sight of him. He always returned with fresh meat to share with the villagers, making him their pride.
"Kill him!" shouted the black-clad man whose arm had been broken, his eyes red as he waved his knife.
"Come on! All of you! I want you to accompany my mother in death!"
Li Ge roared in anger, shooting arrows like meteors with fierce momentum. Each shot was precise; those struck died instantly, while others were wounded, instilling fear among the group of black-clad men.
However, as the saying goes, "Two fists cannot fight four hands." Even with Li Ge's exceptional skills, he could not withstand the sheer number of enemies. Before long, he ran out of arrows and resorted to wielding his bow directly. His bow was passed down from his ancestors, crafted from one of the toughest branches of Eternal Begonia Wood, heavier and harder than steel.
Those who tried to take advantage of Li Ge's lack of arrows were ultimately crushed by him swinging his bow. He possessed immense strength; even one arm could wield a thousand pounds. In his fury, who could withstand his strike?
"Uncle..."
In the distance stood a burly man with a bare upper body and a tiger-like back, red-eyed as he swung a large axe. His strength was so great that even without contact, just the gust from swinging the axe could shred enemies apart.
Around him were many men in black, all masked, revealing only their eyes. It was clear that they wore expressions of fear, yet they did not dare to leave.
Unable to gain an advantage in close combat, they utilized their ability to fly, keeping their distance while shooting arrows, throwing darts, or tossing spears, employing all available ranged attack methods.
"Damn it! I'll kill you all!" Uncle Hai, seeing that he couldn't hit the enemy, simply threw down his axe and embraced a large tree that several people could wrap around. He bent his knees and pushed off with great force. Surprisingly, he uprooted the massive tree!
"Watch me smash you into a pulp!" Uncle Hai shouted as he swung the enormous object in his hands, smashing it down on the terrified onlookers.
However, such strong individuals were clearly in the minority. Although most villagers here were extraordinary, not only living long lives but also possessing agility and immense strength, they largely lacked combat experience. They preferred peace and practiced their skills mainly for health and habit, having rarely undergone any real combat training.
Thus, despite the overwhelming number of black-clad enemies compared to them, many still lost their lives.
As the enemy numbers grew increasingly larger, even strong figures like Li Ge and Uncle Hai began to struggle, coming close to death several times at the hands of their opponents.
Nevertheless, the villagers of Celestial Abode, who had thrived for countless years, were not without their own strong fighters. At a critical moment, under the leadership of the village chief, a group of elderly men with white hair and incredible speed surged through the mountains.
Even though the black-clad men could fly, those elders could leap dozens or even hundreds of meters with ease, making it quite simple to catch one or two of them.
Gradually, it seemed that the scales of victory began to tilt in their favor. Under the guidance of these strong fighters, the black-clad men appeared less formidable; it was merely a matter of time before they would be completely eradicated.
However, let’s not forget that the enemy also had strong fighters. As the elderly joined the battlefield, several terrifying presences emerged from the opposing side. They wore Black Armor and Black Helmets, their faces similarly concealed by black iron masks that revealed only cold eyes.
"Hmph! A bunch of sneaky rats!" an old man snorted coldly as he charged forward with a burst of white light to confront the Black Iron Leader.
The battle was about to erupt, transcending other levels; each move possessed earth-shattering power akin to that of Celestial Beings!
In the sky, both sides clashed in a display of black and white. The two colors of light swirled around each other as if representing justice and evil, light and darkness, life and death.
Unfortunately, the enemy's strong fighters outnumbered theirs. Not only did they restrain the elderly men but also sent powerful fighters to join the battle below.
"Ah!" With a mocking strike from the Black Iron Leader, he cut down a formidable opponent's life with a single blow.
"Come on! Everyone come! I'll kill you all!" Li Ge swung his longbow, smashing one enemy after another. His body was already covered in blood, and his animal skin clothing was stained in patches. The enemies he killed were filled with fear, hesitant to approach.
"Just a bunch of ants!"
"Who?!"
"Ah!"
A Black Iron Leader flew by quickly, swinging his knife. A flash of cold light appeared, and when he revealed himself, he held a bloody head in his hand. The dark and handsome face was filled with disbelief.
"Li Ge!" Ye Mingshang shouted.
"Come on! Beasts, I'll smash you into meat paste!" Uncle Hai wielded a large tree like a war god, striking at the enemies in the sky. With each swing, it was as if he were swatting flies.
"This fellow is too arrogant..." A Black Iron Leader tightened his grip on his gun and threw it forcefully at Uncle Hai.
"Watch out!" Ye Mingshang shouted.
But it was too late; the shot was like a cannonball fired, creating a sonic boom. It almost instantly reached Uncle Hai, piercing through him before he could react.
"Damn it..." In the end, Uncle Hai fell helplessly to the ground, his eyes still filled with deep unwillingness. (To be continued.)
