Ye Mingshang emerged from the thick yellow sand, and the others gradually lifted themselves up, shaking off the sand clinging to their bodies.

The true water source comes from these unassuming Poplar Trees. Do not think about drinking their sap; that would be a grave mistake.
Poplar trees can absorb nearby water sources into their surroundings for storage. Around them, you can see very moist soil. You just need to dig quickly to find some fresh water mixed with soil. Although it may have a slightly fishy taste, it is absolutely clean and drinkable water.
However, now that they have plenty of food and water, they naturally do not need to struggle as much.
If all goes well, they should reach the Taklamakan Poplar Forest tomorrow afternoon, where their team is waiting with enough food and water, and vehicles available, so there is no need to be too frugal at this point.
Due to the extreme heat of the desert, they cannot bring fresh food, as it would spoil. However, they have brought a variety of canned goods, all military-grade products, including various flavors of instant rice.
