This time, they still had to wait for Little Loli and Stone Giant to finish their match. Ye Mingshang did not leave; aside from him, the other battles had actually taken quite a while. Generally speaking, a battle could be resolved within ten minutes, except for certain types that were not good at attacking, which would require more time.
Little Loli was number 81, and it would be two hours before it was her turn to compete. She nodded firmly at Ye Mingshang before entering the arena. Ye Mingshang also perked up; as one of his own, she naturally deserved more attention.
Watching the images in the sky, two figures walked in. One was a petite girl—there was no doubt it was Little Loli. The other was a muscular man, who turned out to be Little Tiger! This was concerning; although he had lost to Ye Mingshang a few days ago, that had been due to an unexpected victory. Little Loli had been sealed by Ye Mingshang and her strength was not weak; she could even match Little Tiger in sheer power. However, when it came to combat skills, she would fall short.
Ye Mingshang felt some worry about this battle. Stone Giant also expressed his thoughts in a low voice, "Oh four..." Well, that was all he could say, and he couldn't even mix it up.
Little Loli did not know Little Tiger, and Little Tiger did not know her either, so there were no pleasantries exchanged. However, upon seeing that his opponent was a little girl, Little Tiger paused slightly but quickly regained his focus. He could not afford to underestimate her; the fact that she stood there meant she had strength. Losing to her due to underestimating her would not look good.
Little Tiger concentrated intently on every movement of Little Loli. He bent his front legs and pushed off with his back legs, positioning his hands like tiger claws—one hand resting on his chest while the other extended forward—adopting a stance that balanced offense and defense.
Little Loli placed one hand on her hip and rested the other on the handle of her hammer, which she held on her shoulder as she curiously observed Little Tiger. Her instincts told her that this opponent was strong and needed to be taken seriously.
Ding!~
As the bell signaling the start of the battle rang out, Little Loli took the initiative to attack. She dragged the hammer behind her as she ran quickly, kicking up dust along the way as if she could barely lift it.
Little Tiger changed his usual approach from offense to defense, wanting to test Little Loli's capabilities before striking back.
"Ya~ hey!" Little Loli exclaimed as she dashed forward and suddenly stopped two meters in front of Little Tiger. Using her waist strength and momentum, she swung the hammer with great force.
Sensing the fierce wind approaching him, Little Tiger focused intently. As the hammer swung toward him, he stepped back half a step to evade the attack and charged up his right hand for a counterstrike as the hammer passed in front of him.
Bang!
Using the force of the hammer against itself benefited Little Tiger; unable to stop her momentum, Little Loli's hammer crashed heavily into the ground, creating a large pit half a meter wide.
Seeing this, Ye Mingshang sighed; having lost the initiative, it seemed likely they would lose.
Indeed, as the hammer uncontrollably struck the ground, Little Tiger seized this opportunity and unleashed his Tiger Fist directly at Little Loli's face without any hesitation or mercy.
He timed it perfectly; Little Loli had no chance to dodge and took a heavy punch right on her forehead, sending her flying backward. However, unlike other battles where victories were celebrated, Little Tiger's win did not receive much recognition since his opponent was so small—she looked like an undeveloped child—and many felt sympathy for Little Loli after such a heavy blow.
Little Tiger did not care about others' opinions; all he needed was victory—not just for this battle but for the championship of the entire competition. He wanted to become a leading figure like his father in this new generation.
Little Loli was knocked away, but Little Tiger did not assume victory. He remained cautious and did not rush forward, instead standing his ground and preparing for the next move.
After about ten seconds, Little Loli struggled to get back on her feet. A large bruise was clearly visible on her forehead, and she swayed slightly, indicating that the punch had given her a mild concussion.
Steadying herself, Little Loli looked seriously at Little Tiger. In terms of strength, she was not inferior to him, but her fighting skills were significantly lacking. Against an opponent of equal level, she found it impossible to win. Holding her breath and focusing, Little Loli struck a fighting pose, recalling the battles she had witnessed earlier in hopes of finding something useful.
"Ha!" Seeing that his opponent was truly lacking in skill, Little Tiger no longer hesitated. He shouted loudly and quickly ran towards her while maintaining his stance. However, he remained alert and did not run in a straight line; instead, he moved in an S-shape, using a special footwork that left Little Loli momentarily dazzled.
In just a few breaths, Little Tiger reached Little Loli's front. Instead of jumping recklessly, he crouched down and executed a sweeping kick. Little Loli, already struggling to keep up with his speed, felt as if her opponent had suddenly vanished when he bent down. In the next moment, she lost her balance and found herself staring at the ground as the disappearing opponent reappeared before her.
Little Tiger seized this opportunity. Seeing Little Loli leaning forward, he pressed both hands firmly on her back and delivered a knee strike.
Bang!
A powerful impact hit Little Loli, making her feel as if her abdomen had been torn apart. She widened her eyes in shock and couldn't help but spit out bile.
Little Tiger showed no mercy; he treated her as an equal opponent and unleashed his full strength upon her with a relentless barrage of strikes. The sounds of blows echoed continuously. If it weren't for Little Loli's sturdy physique, she would have likely been knocked out by now.
"Roar!!!"
Finally, unable to hold back any longer, Little Loli let out a furious Beast Roar. A massive black bear over three meters tall appeared, its eyes filled with rage as it struck down with its paw onto Little Tiger's shoulder, knocking him heavily to the ground. Without hesitation, it stomped down again with no mercy; the ground beneath them cracked like a spider web with a two-meter diameter upon impact.
The sudden appearance of the large black bear stunned the audience. Previously, they had seen Little Loli not reveal her true form while being suppressed by Little Tiger, leading them to believe she had only reached this stage by luck. They sympathized with her as they watched her get beaten and criticized Little Tiger for being too ruthless. But now, how could they reconcile that a delicate Little Loli had transformed into a towering black bear?!
Seeing this formidable creature made the spectators question whether they could even stand a chance against such an opponent. Little Loli was filled with rage; she had been too constrained before and hadn't landed a single hit while being mercilessly beaten. Now she was determined to retaliate fully.
However, it wasn't going to be easy. Little Tiger truly regarded her as an equal opponent. Although he was momentarily taken aback by her sudden transformation into a beast, he quickly regained his composure.
"Roar!!!"
A more powerful Tiger Roar erupted from him. This momentary pause caused Little Loli to hesitate just enough for a massive tiger claw to swipe at her belly, leaving four deep gashes across her skin.
The pain snapped her back to reality; enraged, she retaliated with another bear paw strike. But would Little Tiger allow her to land that hit? Of course not! He slightly sidestepped to evade the blow and leaped high into the air while performing a backflip. As he landed gracefully, his tail swung around and struck the black bear's face, causing her head to jerk back.
Not wasting this opportunity, Little Tiger pounced forward without pausing after landing. He tackled the black bear down and bit into its neck; although his teeth pierced slightly into its flesh, he did not bite deeply.
The black bear's eyes widened in fear as it felt the coldness on its neck and calmed down upon seeing the warning look from Little Tiger. She watched as he released his grip and stepped back. She did not pursue him because she understood that this was not an enemy but rather an opponent; there was no need for underhanded tactics.
The two transformed back into humanoid forms, and Little Loli looked deeply at Little Tiger, her youthful voice loudly declaring, "I give up!"
With the battle concluded, Little Tiger had decisively defeated Little Loli, and no one spoke ill of Little Tiger anymore. After all, the opponent's strength was evident; not many could match the three-meter tall form, and in terms of pure strength, they were on a different level.
Little Loli refused treatment from the medical staff and limped over to Ye Mingshang. She knew that Ye Mingshang had better healing methods. Understanding her intent, Ye Mingshang applied several Healing Talismans to her. In no time, her bruises faded away, revealing a healthy wheat-colored skin, leaving the accompanying medical personnel astonished.
The battle continued, and Little Loli watched intently, wanting to remember every detail. She now clearly recognized the vast gap between her abilities and those of others. If it weren't for the absolute suppression of power, she would have found it nearly impossible to defeat an experienced warrior.
Ye Mingshang did not say much; he felt gratified that she could acknowledge her shortcomings and strive to improve. Although they had gained external power through sealing demons, if she could master this power within a certain timeframe, it was not impossible for her to turn it into her own strength.
On the high platform, the eight guardians displayed expressions of intrigue—not because of Little Tiger's victory but due to the unexpected rise of Little Loli.
"This little girl has impressive strength; how come we haven't heard of her before?" Cloud Lion asked in confusion.
"Indeed, at such a young age, it's unusual for someone this strong to be unknown. Could she be from another mountain range? That doesn't seem likely; her aura is definitely from our mountain range," Leopard also expressed his puzzlement.
The eldest among them, Black Tortoise, stroked his beard thoughtfully and said in a slow, aged voice, "I find this girl's power quite strange; it seems not to belong to her naturally. It's as if she has suddenly acquired it but cannot fully control it yet..."
As expected, they say that with age comes wisdom. Black Tortoise must have lived for many years—perhaps even longer than Underworld River—and he had indeed hit upon the crux of the matter.
White Crane smiled gently and said, "Everyone, do you still remember the battle between Ming Shang and Thunder Tiger?"
