Yuen Ye felt the soft sensation in his arms disappear, replaced by a fluffy bundle. Looking down, he saw that the girl who had been unconscious had somehow transformed back into the snow-white little fox, weakly lying on his chest, her breathing faint.
"How could this happen..." Yuen Ye murmured, filled with confusion and unease. He carefully cradled Chuyi, his pale, slender fingers gently stroking her soft fur, feeling her weak breaths and heartbeat, a mix of emotions swirling within him.
Everything that had just happened was too unbelievable for Yuen Ye to fully accept. He had witnessed Chuyi transform into human form, displaying incredible power as she killed the fierce Ironback Bear with a single blow, only to revert back in an instant, as if it had all been an illusion.
"Could it be... she is some kind of spirit beast?" A thought flashed through Yuen Ye's mind but was quickly dismissed. He had read many ancient texts detailing various rare creatures but had never encountered a fox like Chuyi that could change its form at will.
"Regardless, I need to take her back first." Yuen Ye decided not to dwell on it further. He gently placed Chuyi back into his arms and stood up, looking around.
In the dense forest, sunlight filtered through the layers of leaves, casting dappled shadows on the ground. A gentle breeze rustled the leaves, and a faint smell of blood lingered in the air. Not far away lay the massive corpse of the Ironback Bear, a shocking sight.
Yuen Ye withdrew his gaze and turned to leave, carefully walking down the mountain with Chuyi in his arms. He moved slowly, taking extra care with each step to avoid disturbing the sleeping little fox.

Back in the cave, Yuen Ye settled Chuyi into a soft nest of grass and examined her injuries closely. Fortunately, aside from being weakened from the transformation, there were no other visible wounds.
"It seems you have quite a few secrets," Yuen Ye said softly while looking at the sleeping Chuyi. He reached out and gently poked her little nose, a complex expression flashing in his eyes.
The immense power Chuyi displayed during her transformation made Yuen Ye realize that she was no ordinary fox; perhaps she harbored some unknown secret within her.
"However, no matter what your identity is or what secrets you hold, I will protect you," Yuen Ye said to Chuyi, his gaze resolute. He had already regarded her as family, and no matter what happened, he would not allow her to come to harm.
Yuen Ye stood up and walked to the cave entrance, looking up at the distance. The setting sun painted the sky a fiery red, and the evening glow illuminated his face, highlighting his unparalleled beauty while deepening the worry and determination in his eyes.
"It seems I need to make a trip to Qingfeng City," Yuen Ye murmured. Qingfeng City was the nearest town to Lingyun Mountain, known for its various rare treasures; perhaps he could find a way to help Chuyi recover.
He turned back into the depths of the cave and retrieved a bundle from a hidden corner. Inside were some clothes and silver coins he had prepared for gathering herbs, not expecting they would be needed so soon.
Yuen Ye packed the bundle and took one last look at the sleeping Chuyi, filled with reluctance and concern. But he knew he had to set off quickly to find a way to help her.
Taking a deep breath, he turned and walked out of the cave, heading down the mountain. As night fell and stars twinkled above, Yuen Ye's figure gradually disappeared into the darkness, leaving behind Chuyi, who slept in the cave, along with an unknown secret.
