Li Xiaolu stood on the balcony, holding her phone, feeling a bit nervous as she listened to the person on the other end of the line.
“Lulu, your dad and I are planning to go to New York for a world tour. Are you going to welcome us?” Ms. Yu's voice came through the phone.
Li Xiaolu was slightly taken aback by Ms. Yu's words. She hadn't expected Yu Min to go to New York with Zhao Yi. If they came, wouldn't her situation with Jijun be discovered?
Thinking of this, Li Xiaolu hurriedly said, “Mom, I've been quite busy lately, so I might not be able to host you.”
“Oh? Is that so?” There was a hint of confusion in Ms. Yu's voice.

“Alright.” Ms. Yu sounded resigned.
“Then I'll hang up now,” Li Xiaolu said before ending the call.
She held her phone and gazed out at the scenery, feeling a sense of melancholy. She didn't want to lie to Yu Min, but she truly didn't want them to know about her situation with Jijun. She didn't want them to worry.

"Why not?" Zhao Shu asked, puzzled.

"But isn't your boyfriend not Chinese?" Zhao Shu asked.
