The following events unfolded smoothly. After the wedding banquet, Jiang Chen and Lin Yin returned to Huafei Villa.
A night passed without a word. The next day, Jiang Chen took the high-speed train from Nangang to Gusu. Upon arriving, he called Ye Xinru.
For days, Ye Xinru had been waiting for Jiang Chen's call, especially in the last few days when she felt overwhelmed. Last month during the full moon, her daughter Ye Ming's strange illness flared up again, this time more intensely than ever before. During the episode, Ye Ming lost control and even broke free from her restraints, injuring several people as if she were a vampire.
The Ye family had always been dissatisfied with Ye Xinru's daughter, and now they found ample reason to unite against her, insisting that Ye Xinru send Ye Ming to a mental hospital. Some even suggested sending Ye Ming to a research institute.

Ye Xinru felt as if her heart were being torn apart; she had endured too much pressure for her daughter. Suddenly, her phone rang. When she saw it was Jiang Chen calling, joy surged through her. She quickly answered.
"President Ye, I’ve arrived in Gusu. Where are you? Send me your address; I’ll come right over," Jiang Chen's calm voice came through the phone.
To Ye Xinru at that moment, Jiang Chen's voice was undoubtedly a beacon of hope. Overwhelmed with emotion, she laughed and cried at once.
"Jiang Chen is here; hope has arrived!" she exclaimed as she stroked her daughter's cheek excitedly. "Ming'er, you’re going to be saved."
"What’s going on?" Elder Ye Lianshan asked upon seeing his daughter so animated after the call.
"The expert I hired is on his way; he can cure Ming'er’s strange illness. So there’s no need for Ming'er to leave my side," Ye Xinru replied confidently. She had witnessed Jiang Chen's extraordinary abilities firsthand.
The members of the Ye family exchanged uncertain glances; could it be true that Ye Xinru had really brought in an expert?
Twenty minutes later, Ye Xinru personally went to the villa entrance to welcome Jiang Chen with her daughter in tow.
When she saw Jiang Chen arrive, the tension in her heart eased.
"Mr. Jiang, this is my daughter, Ye Ming. Can you see if her strange illness can be cured?" Ye Xinru hurriedly asked.
Jiang Chen examined Ye Ming closely. The girl felt shy under his gaze and blushed deeply as she lowered her head.
"It's a small matter," Jiang Chen said reassuringly. "As I mentioned before, I can save your daughter."
Ye Xinru felt relieved and led Jiang Chen back to the villa's hall. On the way, she briefly explained her daughter's worsening condition. Jiang Chen listened without showing any change in expression.
Upon arriving at the Ye Family villa's hall, a group of Ye Family members turned their attention to Jiang Chen, curious about the so-called expert Ye Xinru had invited. They had expected someone with an ethereal presence, perhaps an elderly sage or a commanding middle-aged figure. Instead, they were met with a young man.
The Ye Family members were taken aback.
"Xinru, where is the expert you invited? Did he only send his apprentice?" Ye Lianshan asked.
"Father, this is the expert I invited, Mr. Jiang," Ye Xinru introduced solemnly.
At her words, all eyes in the hall turned back to Jiang Chen. After a moment of shock, many couldn't help but laugh.
"This is truly laughable. Xinru, you consider this kid an expert? You're just grasping at straws in desperation."
"Haha, exactly! Big sister, don't joke around. This kid is probably about the same age as Ye Ming. If you're looking for an expert, at least find someone older."
"There can't be that many experts in the world. Xinru, you must have been fooled by this kid."
The Ye Family members laughed, not taking Jiang Chen seriously at all. In their minds, anyone worthy of being called an expert had to be older; how could a young man dare to claim such a title? It was nothing short of ridiculous.
"President Ye, is this villa yours?" Jiang Chen suddenly asked.
"Yes," Ye Xinru replied, confused.
"Since it's your home, please ask these people to leave. I don't like noisy environments," Jiang Chen said.
Ye Xinru felt awkward; although the villa was indeed hers, everyone present was her family. She hesitated to issue an eviction order.
However, she didn't dare defy Jiang Chen's wishes. After a moment of hesitation, she looked at her parents and said, "Dad, Mom, why don't you go back for now? Everything will be fine after today."
"Xinru, you can't really believe this kid is some kind of expert, can you? Ming'er's illness has stumped countless renowned doctors and masters; what can this kid possibly do?" Ye Lianshan frowned and said with displeasure.
"Father, just trust me this once, okay?" Ye Xinru insisted firmly.
Unfortunately, no one in the Ye Family took her words seriously or regarded Jiang Chen as anything significant.
"President Ye, if you can't get rid of these people, I'll help you," Jiang Chen said impatiently. This group was buzzing incessantly like annoying flies; he had no patience to explain himself to them.
Seeing Jiang Chen's displeasure, Ye Xinru steeled herself and shouted, "Ming'er is my daughter; none of you have the right to interfere. Stop bothering Mr. Jiang and leave!"
"Tch! Who wants to meddle in your daughter's affairs? She's just a freak and a disgrace to our family. If you weren't part of the Ye Family, we wouldn't even bother," the Ye Family members sneered in response to Ye Xinru's outburst.
With such an attitude from her, the Ye Family members felt helpless and could only leave reluctantly.
