The eyes of the Cat-Eared Boy resembled a deep, affectionate pool of water, deeply captivating Fang Xia.
His delicate face, soft features, and petite figure, combined with his adorable Cat Ears and Cat Tail, made him irresistible to anyone.
However, the sounds coming from his mouth left Fang Xia speechless.
Even as a little kitten, he could eat a lot, and now that he had grown into such a big person, he still complained of hunger!
Fang Xia decided to ignore it and pointed to the refrigerator. "Take whatever you want."
Following Fang Xia's gaze, the boy looked at the fridge. While Fang Xia sat cross-legged to play games again, the boy quietly opened the fridge.
"Damn it, what kind of teammate are you? Don't you know to come help? Just sitting under the tower like it's a celebration? You don't care about my well-being at all."
Feeling irritated, Fang Xia put down his phone and saw the Cat-Eared Boy sitting in front of the fridge with both doors wide open, surrounded by empty snack bags.
The boy blinked innocently.
"..."
Unable to believe that his food for half a month was gone just like that, Fang Xia rushed down without even putting on shoes. He knelt in front of the fridge and looked at its emptiness with a tone of utter despair: "No way! My snacks for half a month are gone! After you devoured everything, what am I supposed to eat? This is outrageous!!!"
Seeing that even the frozen dumplings had been eaten, Fang Xia felt overwhelmed. Slowly turning to face the boy, he gritted his teeth and asked, "Do you want to die?"
The boy touched his Cat Ears and gave Fang Xia a sweet smile, revealing his pearly white teeth.
Fang Xia got angry for a moment, then calmed down.
"I'm sorry to interrupt, please feel free."
The boy happily hugged a bag of chips, shaking his half-meter-long snow-white Cat Tail, and continued munching away.
Fang Xia swayed as he stood up and answered the phone.
"Son, I'll be at the door in five minutes. You only have five minutes to get ready, so hurry up and think of a way to save yourself!"
Fang Xia cried out, "Mom, please come and save me! I've been kidnapped."
"What's going on? Everything seems fine, and you're just putting on a show. I'm telling you, it's too late."
"I'm not! I think I touched something dirty. Ugh, I'm so unlucky; all my food is gone, it's all gone..."
Noticing that her son was acting differently than usual, Ms. Jiang Wen felt disdain for the new act but couldn't help but worry that something might really be wrong.
With her arms crossed, she said to Fang Zhimo, "Drive faster; your son has a new act we need to see."
Fang Zhimo had no choice but to lower his head in resignation and replied, "Okay."
Fang Xia looked at the hung-up call, wiped away his tears, and felt resentful inside.
This time, I really am not acting.
Fang Xia glared fiercely at the boy who was happily wagging his tail and devouring his food.
She thought to herself that someone would eventually take care of him.
The boy sensed a burning gaze fixed on him and suddenly looked up to see Fang Xia staring at him.
The Cat-Eared Boy once again flashed a sweet smile at Fang Xia, then turned back to focus on eating heartily.
How can this cat eat so much?
Could it be that he just became a spirit and hasn't eaten in a long time?
"Open the door, Fang Xia."
Knock, knock, knock.
Hearing the familiar knocking sound, Fang Xia immediately went to open the door.
With a sudden leap, Fang Xia hugged Jiang Wen and said in a hoarse voice, "Mom, you have to believe me. This time I really ran into something evil, and it seems like it's a spirit monster. I don't want to stay here anymore; it's just too scary! Please take me home!!"
Jiang Wen was puzzled. Is she really this self-aware during her reflection this time?
Before the words of praise could escape, and before the hand intended for a gentle pat could descend, Jiang Wen's hand froze in mid-air.
Looking at the contents of the refrigerator scattered across the floor, along with two pieces of clothing, it was a chaotic sight. The milk and yellow orange juice staining the clothes added a nauseating smell to the entire living room.
Jiang Wen retracted his hand, calmly pushed aside Fang Xia who was standing nearby, and walked over to the pile of mess that was still writhing.
Crouching down, Jiang Wen quickly reached in and grabbed a little cat that was wagging its tail, covered in disgusting liquid.
Holding it up in front of him, Jiang Wen said coldly, "Is this what you call a fairy?"
Fang Xia didn’t know why the Cat-Eared Boy suddenly reverted to his original form. He stepped back slightly and stammered, "I really didn't... I didn't lie to you. Mom, he really is a monster."
Jiang Wen shot a glance at Fang Xia, lifted the little cat higher, and extended it towards Fang Xia. His voice turned even colder: "You said it was injured and that you took it to the hospital. Then where are its injuries?"
Fang Xia quickly pointed with his index finger at the light-colored marks on the little cat. "It's right here."
Jiang Wen looked at Fang Xia, holding the little cat by the scruff of its neck, then turned it towards himself.
Then Jiang Wen noticed a light scar on the cat's abdomen, which looked like an old wound that had healed long ago.
Jiang Wen sneered: "Do you think I believe you?"
