"As long as you like it, I'll dress like this." Zhou Zhanfeng looked at me, his gaze so gentle it could almost draw water.
"Alright, alright, that's so cheesy," I quickly waved my hand.
In the evening, Zhou Zhanfeng took me to the coffee shop where we first met.
"Xiaorou, do you know what day it is today?" Zhou Zhanfeng suddenly asked.
"What day?" I asked in confusion.
"Today marks one hundred days since we met," Zhou Zhanfeng said.
"How do you know?" I asked in surprise.
"Because I've been counting the days every day," Zhou Zhanfeng replied.
"Um, Zhou Zhanfeng..." I suddenly felt a bit shy.
"Xiaorou, I know why you came to find me, and I know what you want to say," Zhou Zhanfeng said seriously as he looked at me. "But I really don't want to give up."
"Zhou Zhanfeng, I..." I hesitated, unable to continue.
"Xiaorou, I truly like you," Zhou Zhanfeng said with a choked voice.
He could no longer speak, tears shimmering in his eyes.
"Why? Why me?" I couldn't help but ask.
"Because of a story," Zhou Zhanfeng replied.
"What story?" I asked curiously.
"Five years ago, did you ever go to Wendeng County?" Zhou Zhanfeng asked.
"I did; my hometown is in Wendeng County," I nodded.
"Do you remember that one year during the Spring Festival when you gave a little boy in a black down jacket some lucky money?"
I looked into his eyes and said word by word, "It seems like there is such a thing. I remember that little boy looked a bit like you."
"Xiaorou, that was me," Zhou Zhanfeng said excitedly.
"Three years ago, when you were live streaming, I was also watching your live stream," Zhou Zhanfeng said.
"Really? Is that true?" I looked at him in surprise.
"Yeah, back then I would watch your live stream every night," Zhou Zhanfeng said.
"My live stream didn't have many viewers because I was a newcomer," I recalled.
"I know, but I found you very interesting; you were just having fun by yourself," Zhou Zhanfeng said.
"That's right, I had just started with live streaming and didn't know anything," I said with a smile.
"Do you know? Your words led me to the path of live streaming," Zhou Zhanfeng said seriously as he looked at me.
"What did I say?" I asked curiously.
"You said that everyone has their own preferred way of living, and as long as they are happy, that's enough," Zhou Zhanfeng said.
"Yes, I've always believed that," I nodded.
"It was because of your words that I decided to do what I love," Zhou Zhanfeng said.
"What you love..." I suddenly realized something.
"Yes, it's live streaming," Zhou Zhanfeng said.
"So you started live streaming because of me?" I looked at him in astonishment.
"Yeah, at that time I had just graduated from high school and my family couldn't afford to send me to college."
"I am very confused," Zhou Zhanfeng said.
"I understand how you feel; I felt the same way when I just graduated."
I nodded in agreement.
"However, I was a bit luckier than you because I met you," Zhou Zhanfeng said with a smile.
"I am also lucky to have met you," I replied with a smile.
"You used to do Live Stream dancing, right?" Zhou Zhanfeng asked.
"Yeah, how did you know?" I looked at him in surprise.
"I was the one who sent you gifts to make you dance," Zhou Zhanfeng said with a laugh.
"Really? It was you?" I was stunned.
"Back then, your mom was the lead dancer for Square Dance. She went out of town to teach dance, and you were dragged along to learn for a few days," Zhou Zhanfeng said.
"That's right; I was young and forced by my mom to learn how to dance," I said with a bitter smile.
"You danced really well; I enjoyed watching you," Zhou Zhanfeng said.
"Don't mention it; I'm embarrassed to say that," I replied awkwardly.
"Xiaorou, do you know why I wanted to do Social Shake?" Zhou Zhanfeng suddenly asked.
"Why?" I asked curiously.
"Because watching you dance Square Dance made me very happy, so I wanted to make others happy too," Zhou Zhanfeng said.
"So you're saying that your Social Shake is related to the Square Dance my mom taught?" I looked at him in shock.
"Yes, it was because of watching you dance that I got the inspiration for Social Shake," Zhou Zhanfeng said.
"Then does that mean I'm the mother of Social Shake?" I was at a loss for words.
I have mixed feelings; it turns out that Zhou Zhanfeng has known me for a long time and has liked me for quite a while.
