After cultivating for an entire afternoon, Xu Feng finally awaited the arrival of night. 0

Pushing open the window, he leaped out of the inn. In the night, Xu Feng spread his Wings of the Strange Dragon, soaring like a giant bird between the rooftops and trees. With a few jumps, he flew beyond the city walls, heading north towards the wilderness of Xian City. 0

As a Foundation Establishment Period Cultivator, he could not fly independently yet, but with the aid of the Wings of the Strange Dragon, Xu Feng's movements were almost indistinguishable from flight. He leaped ten zhang at a time, using the air to propel himself with incredible speed. In terms of speed alone, if a Golden Core Stage Cultivator did not use a Flying Sword, they would be unable to catch up with Xu Feng. 0

In an instant, he was already twenty miles away. 0

In an open area of the wilderness, Xu Feng jumped forward. A flash of blue light appeared in his hand as a fiery red arrow shot downwards towards a massive rock a hundred zhang away. 0

"Boom!" The rock exploded instantly, turning into a pile of rubble that scattered across a ten-zhang radius of grass. 0

Xu Feng looked at the round hole behind the rock and felt delighted. The power of this arrow far exceeded his expectations; the first layer of Dragon's Fury was enough to kill a Foundation Establishment Late Stage cultivator! 0

Xu Feng took to the air again, unleashing arrows rapidly. 0

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh! Eight arrows were fired in quick succession. 0

The Wood Element arrows struck everywhere, causing loud explosions on the ground as if nine mortar shells had landed on a defended hill, creating numerous small craters. 0

After firing eight arrows, Xu Feng finally descended to the ground. This round of Arrow Rain allowed him to verify the power of Chasing the Moon; even low-grade spirit armor was nearly disregarded under its light arrows, which could penetrate with ease. While Superior Spirit Armor provided strong protection and it was unlikely for spirit arrows to penetrate it completely, the immense force behind them could still cause significant shock damage even if they did not pierce through. 0

Xu Feng's gaze turned cold as he thought: With this Chasing Wind Bow in hand, no one below the Golden Core can hold me back anymore. 0

He assessed his internal spiritual energy; after firing his first arrow earlier, Xu Feng had shot nine arrows in total, nearly exhausting his spiritual energy. He had only enough power left for one more arrow. He dared not shoot again; if he exhausted all his Arrow Force, he would have no strength left to escape. 0

Xu Feng sat down on the ground and began to circulate his Five Elements Power to quickly recover his spiritual energy. 0

Ten minutes later, his spiritual energy was fully restored. Xu Feng spread his wings and flew back along his original path. 0

He could not truly soar high into the sky; he merely accelerated with the help of Wings of the Strange Dragon. Normally moving one zhang at a time, with the boost from Wings of the Strange Dragon, he could cover three zhang in one step without touching the ground while weaving through trees. The enormous wings generated sufficient lift and balance. 0

If any mortals were to see him at this moment, they would likely be terrified by this half-human half-beast creature. 0

Ahead, two Daoist figures flashed past rapidly, accompanied by sounds of clashing swords. Xu Feng turned sharply and concealed himself among the trees. From a distance, he observed two cultivators engaged in a life-and-death struggle; one clearly lacked skill and turned to flee after several exchanges while being relentlessly pursued by the other. 0

Such nighttime killings were far too common, especially in areas populated by mortals. Cultivators would intentionally avoid actions that might involve mortals; this was an unwritten rule among Modern Clerks. Only in countries where cultivators were predominant would they dare to engage in open violence during daylight hours. 0

Both monks were at the Foundation Establishment Stage, a level that posed no threat to Xu Feng. Now armed with the Moonchaser Bow, Foundation Establishment Stage practitioners were even more vulnerable. 0

The monk fleeing ahead was clearly heavily injured, his speed decreasing rapidly. Sure enough, the tall monk behind him seized an opportunity, caught up, and launched a frenzied attack, ultimately slaying the fleeing practitioner. 0

There are rules on the road, and Xu Feng had no intention of interfering in others' affairs. He turned to leave in another direction. 0

After collecting his opponent's storage bag, the tall monk suddenly glanced over in Xu Feng's direction, seemingly having detected his presence. 0

What keen insight! Just as Xu Feng was puzzled, a White Eagle flew to the tall monk's side and called out a few times toward Xu Feng's hiding spot. 0

"Is it you?" Xu Feng recognized the White Eagle; it was the same one that had lured him two years ago. "Qinghua Gang?" 0

The newcomer was indeed Yang Chenglin, the leader of Qinghua Gang. He had gone to great lengths to lure a passing Foundation Establishment Practitioner here for an ambush but did not expect to be spotted along the way. Normally, seeing someone would not lead to trouble; everyone would mind their own business. 0

However, with the White Eagle squawking, Yang Chenglin became furious. The White Eagle informed him that this person had killed several of his subordinates two years ago. Yang Chenglin was aware of this and had sent people searching for him but failed to find him and ended up getting He Tanshu caught instead. Since then, Yang Chenglin had ordered that when he found this person, he would personally take his head. It was audacious to stir trouble on someone else's turf. 0

Unexpectedly, after two years, this fellow had walked right into his trap. In just a few steps, he reached Xu Feng's hiding place and called out, "Fellow Daoist, since you've seen me, why not come out and introduce yourself? Those who witness this will share in the spoils; I'm not such a bad person." 0

Although Xu Feng did not know Yang Chenglin personally, he recognized him as a high-ranking member of Qinghua Gang. Two years ago, Qinghua Gang was merely a gang in Xian City with only its leader being a Refining Qi Level Ten practitioner. Now there was a Foundation Establishment Stage practitioner emerging; could he be an elder of Qinghua Gang? 0

"Fellow Daoist is joking; let's each go our own way and make our own fortunes. I’ll pretend I didn’t see anything; you needn’t worry," Xu Feng replied as he stepped out. He still hadn’t settled the score from when Qinghua Gang had hunted him down. 0

Seeing that Xu Feng was only at the Foundation Establishment Stage, Yang Chenglin felt more at ease. A year ago, Yang Chenglin had experienced a stroke of luck and made a breakthrough to the Foundation Establishment Stage himself. Recently, he had made further progress and showed signs of breaking through to Foundation Establishment Mid-Stage. Dealing with a Foundation Establishment Stage practitioner seemed almost certain victory. 0

"That would be best," Yang Chenglin said as he approached Xu Feng, seemingly intending to leave by borrowing his path. 0

Xu Feng smiled and also walked toward Yang Chenglin. Just as they brushed past each other, both turned simultaneously and struck at one another with their swords. 0

With a loud clang, Yang Chenglin retreated with a pale face as his Low-Grade Spirit Sword shattered into two pieces. 0

"My apologies; my equipment is just slightly better," Xu Feng said while flicking his Medium-Grade Spirit Sword in a manner that seemed infuriatingly casual. 0

"Not necessarily," Yang Chenglin's hand flashed coldly as he revealed his own Medium-Grade Spirit Sword. With a loud shout, he charged forward with his sword raised. 0

"Who would have thought you were wealthy too?" Xu Feng retracted his long sword as the Wings of the Strange Dragon suddenly unfurled behind him. With a gentle flap, he retreated ten zhang. "Unfortunately, I don't have time to play with you." The blue shadow flickered as the Moonchaser Bow appeared prominently in his hand. 0

"Oh no!" Yang Chenglin was an old fox; upon seeing Xu Feng summon a pair of Superior Spirit Tool wings, he realized things were about to go south and quickly sidestepped to retreat. 0

A flash of red light appeared in front of the chest, faster than one could cover their ears, and before there was even a chance to raise the sword, the red light had already struck the chest. 0

"Boom!" Yang Chenglin was sent flying backward as if hit by a mountain, spewing blood as he flew. 0

"Impossible, impossible, what is this thing!" Yang Chenglin shouted hoarsely, spitting out blood. 0

"It is indeed impossible." Xu Feng flapped his wings and flew in front of Yang Chenglin. He thought that even a cultivator at the Foundation Establishment Late Stage would be severely injured by this arrow; yet here was Yang Chenglin, only at the Foundation Establishment Stage, who had taken a direct hit and was still alive! 0

Yang Chenglin lay on his back on the ground, blood flowing from the corner of his mouth. He weakly raised his sword to point at Xu Feng but soon let it drop helplessly. 0

The night was still long; with a long night came many dreams. Xu Feng looked around; apart from the stunned White Eagle, there were no other threatening creatures. 0

Xu Feng's gaze swept over, and the White Eagle immediately regained its senses. It flapped its wings and leaped into the air. Before it could gain speed, a pale yellow arrow pierced through its belly, leaving a gaping bloody hole. The White Eagle flapped a few times before it breathed its last. 0

As the White Eagle drew its final breath, Yang Chenglin also took his last breath on earth. 0
