The New Moon Sect has several properties, and mining is one of them. Since ores are widely used in the mortal realm, the management of ores in the New Moon Sect is relatively relaxed. Typically, one disciple from the Artifact Workshop and ten outer disciples are stationed at the mine, regularly sending ores back to the sect as needed.
