I took a deep breath, turned over, and got out of bed, walking to the balcony.
“Xiaowan!” I shouted.
“Huh?” Xiaowan looked at me in confusion. “What’s wrong?”
“Why did you let Zhang Yue come too?” I asked through gritted teeth.
“Didn’t you say so?” Xiaowan blinked. “You said she was here, so let her come.”
Did I really say that?
“Besides, she’s already in the dorm; we can’t just kick her out, right?” Xiaowan added.
She’s already in the dorm; what can I do?
“Li Zixuan, hurry up! We’re about to leave!” Xiaowan's voice suddenly rang out from downstairs.
I looked down and froze.
Zhang Yue’s friend had already arrived, and Qian Fan was there too.
He was chatting with Zhang Yue.
How did they start talking?
I hurried downstairs and stood between them, keeping a wary eye on Zhang Yue.
“Good morning,” Zhang Yue greeted me warmly. “I saw your group photo on your desk.”
Who put the group photo on the desk?
As I was wondering, Xiaowan came down.
“Li Zixuan, your boyfriend isn’t coming,” Xiaowan said as her first sentence.
“Huh?” I was taken aback.
He’s not coming?
Then who is Qian Fan?
I instinctively looked at Qian Fan.
“No,” Xiaowan shook her head. “Your boyfriend isn’t coming, but Zhang Yue’s friend is here; since we’re all just hanging out, let’s go together.”
After finishing speaking, Xiaowan enthusiastically started chatting with Zhang Yue's friend. It turned out that Qian Fan was not her boyfriend, but rather a friend of Zhang Yue. I breathed a sigh of relief.
"Li Zixuan, what are you doing?" Xiaowan's voice suddenly rang out from the front. I came back to my senses and hurried to catch up.
All the while, Qian Fan walked extremely fast. I followed behind, shouting, "Qian Fan, wait for me!"
Qian Fan seemed not to hear me and continued to walk faster. "Qian Fan, wait for me!" I shouted again.
Qian Fan still ignored me. I gritted my teeth and kept trying to catch up. Finally, I got tired. I stopped, panting as I looked at Qian Fan's back.
Damn it, is he riding a bike? How can he walk so fast?
I cursed in frustration and found a place to sit down. Just as I sat down, Qian Fan came back. He handed me a bottle of water.
"Thank you," I said as I took it and drank it all in one go.
"Do you want more?" Qian Fan asked.
I shook my head, "No, I'm good."
"Okay," Qian Fan nodded and turned to leave.
What does he mean by that?
"Did you just give me water and then leave again?" I gritted my teeth and stood up to continue chasing after him. Finally, I couldn't take it anymore.
"Qian Fan, what do you mean by this?" I shouted, "Do you want to wear me out and then replace me?"
"Replace you? What are you talking about?" Qian Fan turned around, looking confused.
"Don't you want to break up with me?" I asked through clenched teeth.
"No way," Qian Fan blinked, "You're my relative from the countryside now; how could I break up with you?"
He still remembered that? Just as I was about to explain, a sudden scream from Xiaowan interrupted us.
"What happened?" I rushed over to Zhang Yue, looking at her with concern. "Why is your face so pale? Are you feeling unwell?"
"I... I'm fine," Zhang Yue shook her head. "I just have a bit of low blood sugar."
"Oh, I see." I sighed in relief. "You really need to take care of yourself, especially your kidneys, okay?"
"Thank you," Zhang Yue chuckled awkwardly.
"What are you thanking me for?" I frowned. "You really need to pay attention to your kidneys; don't be careless!"
"Alright..." Zhang Yue smiled weakly.
"If you're worried, just go to the hospital for a check-up," I suggested after thinking for a moment.
"No need!" Zhang Yue became agitated instantly. "I'm really fine; it's just a bit of low blood sugar."
"Okay then," I said, pouting.
