The next day, I began practicing in a coach car on the outskirts of the city, accompanied by Lu Hao. Due to my nerves, I messed up the sequence right from the start and was scolded harshly by Coach Liu Ming. 0

"What are you doing? You can't even remember such a simple sequence!" Liu Ming exclaimed in frustration. 0

"I'm sorry, I... I'm just too nervous," I explained. 0

"Nervous about what? It's not your first time driving," Liu Ming said disdainfully. 0

"I..." I opened my mouth but couldn't find the words. 0

It wasn't my first time driving, but I always felt nervous, especially with the instructor sitting next to me, which made it easier to make mistakes. 0

"Do it again!" Liu Ming ordered. 0

"Yes," I replied. 0

I took a few deep breaths, gathered my courage, and continued practicing. However, due to my nerves, I made another mistake and was scolded again by Liu Ming. 0

I turned to Lu Hao; he was smiling at me and said, "Don't be afraid, take it slow." 0

I nodded and tried to calm myself down. This time, I finally managed to avoid mistakes and completed the entire course smoothly. 0

"Not bad," Liu Ming commented. 0

I sighed in relief and wiped the sweat from my forehead. 0

"Let's take a break," Lu Hao suggested. 0

"Okay," I nodded, unbuckled my seatbelt, and got out of the car. 0

We sat down on a nearby bench; I took a sip of water and sighed. 0

"Are you tired?" Lu Hao asked. 0

"Not really, just feeling very nervous," I replied. 0

"Why are you nervous?" Lu Hao inquired. 0

"I don't know; I'm just really nervous," I said. 0

"Maybe it's because you care too much about your performance," Lu Hao suggested. 0

"Maybe," I sighed again. 0

"Don't worry; you'll get better with time," Lu Hao reassured me. 0

"Mm." I nodded. 0

We took a break for a while and then continued practicing driving. 0

After a morning of practice, I finally became somewhat more skilled. Although I still made mistakes, I was no longer as nervous as before. 0

At noon, Lu Hao took me out for lunch, and in the afternoon, he accompanied me for more practice. 0

In the evening, we returned to the city, and Lu Hao dropped me off at school. 0

"Thank you for accompanying me to practice driving," I said to Lu Hao. 0

"You're welcome," Lu Hao smiled. "I'm also happy to help you." 0

"Well, I'm going in now. Be careful on your way back," I said. 0

"Okay, bye-bye," Lu Hao replied. 0

"Bye-bye." I waved at him and turned to walk into the campus. 0

That night, I sat at my desk, staring blankly at the computer. 0

My gaze fell on the cactus next to me; it was something I had bought a few days ago and placed on my desk as decoration. 0

As I looked at the cactus, Lu Hao's face appeared in my mind. 0

He looked so bright when he smiled, just like this cactus. 0

Suddenly, I really wanted to see him. 0

I took out my phone, opened WeChat, and clicked on our chat interface. 0

"What are you doing?" I typed. 0

After waiting for a while, he didn't reply. 0

Maybe he's busy. 0

I closed the chat window and casually scrolled through Weibo but couldn't help but open our chat interface again. 0

Still no reply. 0

I felt a bit disappointed and tossed my phone aside, continuing to stare blankly at the computer. 0

After a while, my phone suddenly vibrated. 0

I quickly picked it up; it was a message from Lu Hao. 0

"I was just taking a shower," he explained. 0

"Oh," I replied with a simple word. 0

"What about you? What are you doing?" he asked. 0
"Nothing much, just sitting here," I replied. 0
"Haha, daydreaming?" he asked. 0
"Pretty much," I said. 0
"Then send me a photo so I can see," he said. 0
"Why?" I asked. 0
"I want to see what you look like when you're daydreaming," he answered. 0
"..." I was speechless, "I must look terrible when I'm daydreaming." 0
"No way, I think you look great no matter what," he replied. 0
I looked at the words on the screen and couldn't help but smile. 0
"Really?" I asked. 0
"Of course," he replied. 0
"Alright then," I said. 0
I picked up my phone, took a selfie, and sent it to him. 0
"How is it?" I asked. 0
"Very pretty," he replied. 0
"Thank you," I said with a smile. 0
"You're welcome," he replied. 0
We chatted like this for a long time until I was too sleepy to keep my eyes open, and reluctantly said goodnight to him. 0
Lying in bed, however, I couldn't fall asleep at all. 0
My mind was filled with Lu Hao's image—his smile, his gaze, every word he said echoed in my ears. 0
I don't remember when I fell asleep; I only recall that before drifting off, there was still a smile on my lips. 0
