I said, "......"
I blinked and asked, "What do you mean?"
"I can't really explain it," Lu Hao smiled, "but I just feel that when I'm with you, it's very comfortable, relaxing, and happy."
I replied, "......"
After a moment of silence, I quietly asked, "Is it just because of that?"
"Yeah," Lu Hao nodded. "Is that reason enough?"
"Enough," I said softly. "Of course it's enough."
"That's good," Lu Hao sighed in relief. "I was worried you might think I'm too shallow."
"How could that be?" I shook my head. "I think it's quite nice."
"What about you?" Lu Hao asked. "What do you feel about me?"
"I..." I hesitated for a moment and then added, "I also feel very comfortable."
"Just comfortable?" Lu Hao raised an eyebrow.
I replied, "......"
After thinking for a bit, I added, "And very happy."
"Happy?" Lu Hao frowned slightly.
I gently nodded and said, "Yes, when I'm with you, I feel very happy."
"Really?" Lu Hao's eyes lit up. "I feel very happy too."
I said, "......"
I looked into his eyes; his pupils were dark and bright, like the most dazzling star in the night sky.
My heart raced a little faster, and my cheeks felt hot.
I hurriedly looked down and whispered, "Then I promise you."
"Really?" Lu Hao looked at me in surprise.
I nodded gently, "Mm."
"Great!" Lu Hao was extremely excited and hugged me tightly, "Li Ting, thank you!"
I replied, "..."
Leaning against him, I caught a faint scent from his body, and my heart began to race uncontrollably.
After a while, I softly reminded him, "Lu Hao, you're going to choke me..."
"Oh," Lu Hao quickly let go of me and said apologetically, "I'm sorry, I got too excited."
"It's fine," I shook my head, "I'm not that fragile anyway."
"Yeah," Lu Hao smiled and said, "Our Li Ting is the strongest."
"Cut it out," I shot him a playful glare, "Don't flatter me."
Lu Hao chuckled, "Come on, let's take a walk."
"Okay."
We strolled along the playground, the moonlight casting long shadows on the track.
After walking for a while, Lu Hao suddenly asked, "Li Ting, how's your French?"
"Huh?" I was taken aback for a moment, "Why do you ask this all of a sudden?"
"I have something I'd like your help with," Lu Hao said.
"What is it?" I asked curiously.
"A friend of mine opened a tattoo shop and recently got a big order from a Frenchman," Lu Hao explained. "They want me to help them with a tattoo project, but the details haven't been finalized yet, so they need to find a translator."
"I see," I nodded thoughtfully, "But my French is pretty average."
"No need for it to be professional," Lu Hao waved his hand dismissively. "They just need someone to help with communication; you can just look over some French materials."
"That's no problem," I readily agreed, "Leave it to me!"
"Thank you, Li Ting!" Lu Hao said with a big smile.
I waved my hand dismissively, "It's a small case!"
We continued walking when suddenly I remembered something.
"By the way," I asked, "when did you find my student ID?"
"The day after it was lost," Lu Hao said. "I took it to the student office."
"That early?" I was surprised. "Why didn't you return it to me sooner?"
"I..." Lu Hao scratched his head and said awkwardly, "I forgot."
Me: "..."
I shook my head helplessly. "You really are quite forgetful."
"Hehe," Lu Hao chuckled. "I'll try to improve in the future."
"That's more like it," I said with satisfaction. "But you're also pretty lucky."
"Lucky?" Lu Hao looked at me in confusion.
I nodded. "If you had delivered it to the student office later, someone else might have picked it up by now."
"That's true," Lu Hao realized. "Looks like I'm quite kind-hearted after all."
Me: "..."
I shot him a speechless glance. "Stop flattering yourself."
We chatted as we walked, and the atmosphere was particularly pleasant.
I played until after ten before returning to my dorm, then took a shower and climbed into bed to sleep.
