Mimi was lost in thought when suddenly, a pair of long hands waved slowly in front of her, pulling her back from the thoughts that had long since vanished. The fingers were slender, without any nail polish or adornments. The sleeves of the sky-blue American hoodie extended down to cover the back of her hands, accentuating the fair skin and visible veins hidden beneath the fabric. 0

“Mimi, Mimi, what’s wrong?” The voice carried a hoarse and lazy tone, as if just waking up. The eye mask had been pulled down to hang around her neck, gathering her envious hair. 0

“Ah, nothing, Sister Ning. We’re almost there.” Mimi turned to look at the person beside her. The overhead lights in the cabin cast down, not providing the best angle for lighting, but at that moment it seemed as if it was intentionally illuminating Sister Ning, surrounding her with a halo. The screen behind the seats was still displaying some content, and the dim white light reflected on her face. As Mimi turned slightly, she caught sight of those just-woken eyes and suddenly understood what everyone meant when they said Sister Ning's eyes could speak. It was like seeing freshly washed eyes; the pupils reflected light like brown amber, with dim white light scattering a starry sky within them. 0

“Mimi, are you hungry?” In an instant, it seemed Sister Ning had just remembered and looked up to ask. 0

Mimi paused for a moment before responding, “I am a bit hungry. Sister Ning, let’s go eat together later.” She knew Sister Ning had something to say. 0

Sure enough, upon receiving the understanding response, Sister Ning happily blinked at her. “Then let’s order food and eat together in my room later.” 0

Sister Sini, who was organizing things next door, overheard their conversation and immediately thought they were going to eat something random again. She turned around and spoke up. 0

“I’ll go to the hotel restaurant to order food for you. It’s not a good time to order now.” 0

“No need, Sister Sini. I’m calculating our landing time; it should be fine. I’ll have the driver buy some ingredients when we land. I’ll cook for Sister Ning; I promise it will be nutritious and perfectly balanced.” The young girl’s cooking skills were indeed quite good. 0

“Just remember not to only listen to her requests; everything must be done according to the rules,” Sini reiterated sternly, a phrase she almost repeated daily. She knew all of her artist's attributes, especially He Shuning. 0

“Got it, Sister Sini! I’m very familiar with your words. I will strictly follow the recipe and proportions to make a nutritious meal without any sugar or oil mixtures or anything spicy,” Mimi declared with her hand raised as if making an oath, her gaze firm as if she were joining a party. 0

Sini nodded in satisfaction before turning to look at He Shuning, who was leaning against the seat beside them. At some point, she had pulled her hat over her head and put on a mask, arms crossed over her chest as she watched Sini with those eyes that seemed to convey thoughts without uttering a word. 0

Or rather, it was clear that she was unhappy at this moment, or perhaps a bit impatient. 0

All those things that were forbidden were what she liked; one could even say that amidst her bleak emotional fluctuations, there was a distinct sense of preference visible. 0
