I work in interior design at a small advertising company. My performance is not outstanding, but I handle things quite well. The boss is nice and treats newcomers well.
The weather is particularly good today, and it happens to be Sunday. I just bought a new dress and don't want to go back early. Where should I go? I think I'll go to Li Mei's place again to tidy up the things she left behind. Maybe An Jianguo won't be living there one of these days.
Just as I was about to knock on the door, I heard someone talking inside. I noticed that the door was not completely closed, so I just went in.
"Huh, it's you again. You're quite strange. Are you my shadow? Wherever I go, you seem to follow," He Bing said with a smile.
"I was just about to ask you, how do I always run into you! I'm here to tidy up Li Mei's things! I hope I'm not in your way!"
"Not at all, please go ahead. The outfit you're wearing today is quite beautiful, it makes you look even more lovely!"
"It's Meng Xue! I was just thinking, if you didn't come, I would have thrown these things away! Seeing you brings back memories, my heart is in turmoil!"
"Ingrateful thing!" I glanced at Song Jianguo, then looked at He Bing and said, "You men are all the same, can't resist a pretty girl walking by!"
"You are beautiful, that's the truth!" He Bing didn't smile this time, he seemed quite serious when he said that.
Perhaps it was fate, I don't know why, but I feel like there's so much more to say between He Bing and me. When we came out, we both got on the same bus. I remember clearly, he said he was going the same way as me, and we talked all the way until I got off at my stop! I forgot to ask him where he was going.
I watched the bus leave, feeling a bit reluctant to turn around and leave. Suddenly, I heard someone calling my name!
"Meng Xue, wait a moment..."
I turned around and it was He Bing!
"Why did you get off the car too? Where are you going?"
"Oh, I forgot, I was supposed to go to my friend's place, but he told me the day before yesterday that he went back to his hometown! Look at my memory! I almost made a wasted trip! Do you have any plans? It's almost noon, let's have a meal together?"
"Sure, I don't have anything to do anyway!"
"Let's go, there's a good Northeast Dumpling Restaurant up ahead, want to try it?"
"Sure, I'll follow your lead!"
I and He Bing walked into the Dumpling restaurant one after the other, starting what could be considered our first date.
"You've ordered so many dishes, let's have some wine. You have nothing to do today!"
"You are quite humorous. I think you are a good person, that's why I'm having a meal with you!"
"To know what kind of person I am, just ask An Jianguo!"
"Don't mention him to me. He's not a good person. Otherwise, why would Li Mei have jumped off the building?"
"You can't blame everything on Jianguo. Li Mei definitely has her own issues. She pursues perfection too much and is a bit too stubborn. Why must she resort to death? In a marriage, as time goes by, there's less romance and more mundane matters. She's a woman who places too much emphasis on romance!"
"What's wrong with pursuing romance? If An Jianguo had shown a little more care for her, not gone out drinking that day, and come home earlier, Li Mei wouldn't have ended up in such a situation! He's been too neglectful of Li Mei's feelings!"
"That's true! But I think you're not quite like her. You're more practical. To be honest, living with a woman like you would be reassuring!"
"What's the matter, you've never dated anyone? Come on, are you kidding me? As far as I know, Li Mei never liked you when she was with An Jianguo!"
"Do you believe me when I say I've never dated anyone? That's all in the past now. Luckily I didn't end up with her, or I'd be the one dealing with this today!"

"Oh wow, that's great! Thank you so much! How can I contact you?"
"456****, this is the phone number of my dormitory. You can reach me by calling this number! Do you remember it?"
"What's so difficult about that? I have a good memory! My number is 578***, can you remember it?"
"You can remember, I can remember too!"
After having a meal with He Bing, I inexplicably started to have a good impression of him. I always returned to the dormitory early every day, waiting by the phone to see if he would call. I was completely preoccupied every day, which must be a sign of being in love.
He Bing has asked me to do something before, and I was very angry at the time. I guess he deliberately wanted to see me for no reason, and just used this unreliable thing to find me.
When he came, he also brought a woman, saying that she was pregnant and asked me to accompany her to my sister's hospital to take care of it! I was very angry at the time, thinking to myself, who is this person? How do I know such a playboy? But I didn't say anything and still politely agreed on the surface.
Later I found out that the woman was indeed his colleague's girlfriend. That day, his colleague was not around so he took care of the matter for him. He is an honest person and is willing to take on any task. Through this incident, I have developed more and more feelings for him. I am sure that I have fallen in love with him.
