The young man gestured for her to stay seated and asked about her accent and the reason for her visit.
An Ling-Yao was about to explain his situation, but he thought to himself that he was unfamiliar with the place, so he should be cautious. He said, "My name is An Yao, from Luo Capital. I was traveling with a group of friends, but unfortunately we encountered refugees fleeing a disaster. Our group was scattered by the refugees, and I ended up here alone. I don't know where my friends are."
Upon hearing this, the young man also introduced himself, "My name is Jiang Chen, I am a doctor here." He then pointed to the other young man, "That Double-pupiled monster is Tuoba Xiang. He is the magistrate of this county. If you have any problems, you can find him."

After about two quarters of an hour, the carriage seemed to stop moving. Then Tuoba Xiang entered the carriage and said, "Miss, we have arrived at my mansion. Since you don't have a place to stay, please bear with staying at my humble abode for now. Is that alright?"
Feeling unable to refuse such kindness, An ling-Yao also thought that staying at the county magistrate's mansion might help her gather more information, so she nodded in agreement.
Jiang Chen saw that An ling-Yao had settled down and began to take his leave, saying, "Since the young lady has found a place to stay, I will take my leave." An ling-Yao was overwhelmed by the rapid-fire questions and could only quickly escape the scene.

Because of that slight cough, An ling-Yao turned to look at Tuoba Xiang and said, "Is there something you need, Lord Magistrate?"
Tuoba Xiang had a calm expression and said slowly, "It's nothing much, I just came to see if you need anything else."
Upon hearing this, An ling-Yao smiled and indicated that everything was complete and nothing was missing. Tuoba Xiang, feeling uninterested, left first. An ling-Yao escaped unscathed, but Xuanyuan Yi encountered trouble...
