Lin Feng bought the medicine and walked to the convenience store. As he opened the store door, he began to busy himself in the kitchen. With Tesla guiding him on how to brew the medicine, and Lin Feng's patient handling, he was able to extract the medicinal properties thoroughly.
Of course, this was for Dong Jie. If it were Lin Feng himself needing to brew medicine, he would simply pour it in and let it simmer for half an hour before drinking.

In fact, Dong Jie’s health had improved significantly after Lin Feng used the spatial energy from the magic ring to heal her. However, with her chronic female condition, she still needed careful nurturing to avoid any lingering issues, which was why Lin Feng was being so cautious.
"Hehe... What can I do? You're sick, so I have to step in myself. Once you're better, you need to cook for me," Lin Feng joked as he looked at Dong Jie, who was regaining her usual vitality. A weight lifted off his heart as he felt a sense of relief.
"Alright, since you’re craving it, I’ll cook for you. By the way, are you going back to school tonight?" Dong Jie suddenly remembered that it was late and that Lin Feng usually returned to school at night.
"Nope, it's pretty late now. I'll just stay here in your room tonight as your guardian, okay?" Lin Feng replied while already starting to make a bed on the floor with a blanket.
It was still quite cold in winter, and Lin Feng couldn't stand sleeping directly on the ground without some bedding.
Seeing Lin Feng's actions made Dong Jie blush slightly, but she agreed without hesitation. She didn't have the same reservations about him as she would with other men.
Since Lin Feng was going to keep watch here, Dong Jie felt much more at ease and soon fell asleep after taking her medicine.
The night passed without incident, and soon the sun rose the next day.
When Lin Feng opened his eyes, he realized he had overslept; it was already nine o'clock in the morning. Dong Jie was nowhere to be seen; she must have gone downstairs to prepare for opening the store.
Recalling his "grand declaration" from last night about being a protector of flowers, Lin Feng couldn't help but blush a little. Here he was, supposed to be guarding the flowers, yet the flowers were already up and about while he was still sound asleep.

His mind had been highly tense, so it was no surprise that he relaxed and fell asleep afterward.

"Why does this voice sound so familiar?" Lin Feng thought as he turned away from the newcomer but felt a sudden jolt in his heart upon hearing her voice.
When he turned around, he realized why the voice sounded so familiar—it was Chen Xinni coming in to buy tissues.
When Lin Feng turned around, Chen Xinni was equally surprised, followed by delight. She and Su Xue had originally planned to go to the school to find Lin Feng, but they were informed by his roommates that he had not returned for the night, and it turned out he was here.
Looking at Dong Jie, the beautiful owner of the place, Chen Xinni suddenly realized that he had come here for a certain reason.
"Hey... Lin Feng, did you spend the night here?" Chen Xinni teased.

Lin Feng was sure that if Chen Xinni found out about him being in Dong Jie's room as a protector of flowers last night, various unimaginable rumors about him would spread throughout the school by tomorrow, which would greatly tarnish both Dong Jie’s and his own reputation.
Lin Feng might have a thick skin, but Dong Jie was already well-known for her beauty around the school; he would not allow anyone to slander her.
"You..." Lin Feng's words were sharp and hit home, leaving Chen Xinni momentarily speechless. Angrily, she grabbed a tissue and left without even asking for change.
"You shouldn't treat girls like that; look, you've made her leave," Dong Jie remarked. She knew nothing about what had happened between Lin Feng and Chen Xinni yesterday, but seeing Lin Feng drive away such a beautiful girl with just one comment made her somewhat critical of him.
"Hehe... Sister, it's better to avoid girls like that," Lin Feng explained lightly. He knew enough about Chen Xinni’s situation; there was no need to tell others. How she chose to live her life was her own business, and he didn’t want to interfere.
Just when Lin Feng thought the matter was settled and was preparing to continue talking to Dong Jie about taking care of herself, another girl walked into the shop—another beautiful girl with an elegant demeanor.
