"Kill?"
A Qi was taken aback and said something to the old man before following him out. As for the little ones, their attention was entirely on the food, so they had no idea what the two Big Brothers were discussing that was so shocking.
Once outside the small shop, Lufan headed towards the school, remaining silent all the way.
What he said earlier was not a joke; he truly wanted to kill someone.
Upon arriving at the school, A Qi did not follow him inside but waited outside. Lufan first returned to his small room to make some preparations, casually taking the Qing Mang sword with him before heading to Mr. Li's Courtyard.
Fatty was busy cooking in the kitchen, while Uncle Fu lay lazily on a recliner soaking up the sun, squinting his eyes. Even when he sensed Lufan's return, he didn't open his eyes.
It was only when Lufan asked him to keep Fatty from leaving that Uncle Fu opened his eyes and noticed the Qing Mang sword in Lufan's hand, his expression shifting slightly.
"What's going on? Got into some trouble, or did someone provoke you?"
"A bit of both," Lufan replied as he explained the situation.
"Seven Kill Tower?" Uncle Fu was somewhat surprised. "Those money-hungry lunatics can be quite a headache. What do you plan to do about it?"
As for Lufan's mention of killing Li Hao, it didn't catch Uncle Fu's attention at all; just another brutal lunatic who could be killed without much thought.
"What else can I do? Just let that commission cancel itself."
"Got some guts, huh? Go ahead. I'll keep an eye on little Fatty. The sooner you go, the sooner you come back," Uncle Fu waved his hand dismissively.
As for Lufan's safety, he was not worried at all. After this period of time, if anyone understood Lufan's strength the best, it was him. Even if he couldn't win, he could always escape. If things really got out of hand, he could always make an exception and take action himself; it wasn't a big deal.
Lufan nodded and walked outside. When he reached the main gate, he transformed back into his previous appearance.
Like before, A Qi followed behind Lufan, remaining silent and curious about how Lufan planned to carry out the killing.
When he saw that Lufan continued without stopping and headed straight toward the city lord's mansion in the east, his mouth slowly dropped open as an absurd thought flashed through his mind.
This guy can't be thinking of just barging in to kill someone!
It was no wonder A Qi felt surprised; after all, that was the city lord's mansion. Not to mention that there were many experts there, at least some intermediate Martial Cultivators were present, and some were seasoned veterans who had experienced real battles.
Especially the city lord Li Zheng. According to their intelligence from the Seven Kill Tower, he had already reached the peak of Sixth Rank, just one step away from becoming a master of martial arts.
Of course, this step was both a boundary and a barrier; without meticulous effort for even a day, one could not hope to break through. However, there was no denying that Li Zheng's strength was extremely formidable. At least A Qi had no confidence in assassinating him; facing him head-on, he probably wouldn't last even ten moves.
A Qi thought to himself that if it were him and he knew it was a commission from Li Zheng, even if he wanted to eliminate the client, his approach would be to plan carefully and wait until nightfall to infiltrate the city lord's mansion, executing a decapitation strategy and looking for an opportunity to kill Li Zheng in one fell swoop. That would be the correct and wise choice.
Unlike Lufan, who was clearly laying everything bare and foolishly marching straight in; it was simply stupid, lacking any technical finesse or aesthetic appeal!
However, knowing that this approach was unwise but seeing that Lufan truly intended to go in like this, A Qi had to admit that there was indeed a thrilling feeling about it!
Lufan walked straight ahead. In the past, when his strength was insufficient for survival, he would meticulously plan every move. Now he chose to confront things directly simply because he had enough confidence in his own strength!
Moreover, having been unclear about his own "momentum," Lufan decided to return to his original idea and create his own "momentum" through battle!
From now on, every battle he fought would be to accumulate his martial momentum. He firmly believed that as long as he fought enough, he would naturally comprehend the essence of "momentum."
As he approached the Lord's mansion, Lufan saw a wide street ahead where a crowd had formed a circle. Most of the people had expressions of pity on their faces, and within the circle, there were sounds of pleading and even the cries of children.
Lufan felt a stir in his heart and walked straight toward the crowd.
Inside the circle, Li Ran was filled with rage as he punched and kicked an old man.
He felt incredibly unlucky. Ever since he was scolded by his father last time, he had stormed out of the hall in anger. At that moment, he had intended to find someone to cause a scene at the academy to prove to his father that the teacher was nothing but a fraud.
However, to his surprise, his father had sent an armored guard to supervise him and placed him under house arrest. For more than half a month, he hadn't been able to step outside the Lord's mansion, which was driving him nearly insane.
Finally, today, with several important guests visiting the mansion, he was allowed to go out for some fresh air. Almost going mad from being cooped up, Li Ran gathered a group of sycophants and planned to have some fun at Yixiang Tower.
Unexpectedly, as soon as he stepped outside, he ran into an old man carrying a load of something sticky on his shoulder. When the old man failed to move aside quickly enough upon seeing him, he even dared to dirty Li Ran's clothes!
To others, this incident was hardly the old man's fault; he was merely a vendor selling Sugar Man treats. He was already moving slowly due to carrying his goods and taking care of his little granddaughter. Li Ran and his entourage charged through recklessly, and the old man could only brush against Li Ran in an attempt to avoid them.
But Li Ran didn't care about that. His mood was already foul, and this incident pushed him over the edge. How dare you provoke me when I'm already in a bad mood? You're simply asking for death!
Without hesitation, he kicked the old man down and began to punch and kick him.
Li Ran didn't use Primordial Energy for fear of killing the man outright and losing his outlet for frustration; instead, he deliberately held back. Listening to the old man's cries of anguish brought him some relief, alleviating much of his pent-up frustration.
The passersby initially felt indignant at the scene but quickly fell silent upon realizing it was the Second Young Master of the Lord's mansion. They could only watch helplessly with pained expressions.
Li Ran felt even more pleased; he enjoyed the fear others had of him, as it brought him immense satisfaction. However, the crying of the little girl was becoming quite annoying.
A fierce glint flashed in Li Ran's eyes as he swung his hand back, aiming to slap the little girl who was crying and trying to reach for him!
With the force of his slap, the defenseless little girl would likely be severely injured if struck, possibly even breaking her neck.
The onlookers gasped in shock, and a few Loose Cultivators couldn't help but rush forward to intervene, but it was already too late.
Just as Li Ran revealed a sinister smile and the little girl was about to face misfortune, a figure suddenly appeared, wrapping the little girl in their arms and covering her eyes.
Amidst the gasps of astonishment, a flash of sword light appeared, and Li Ran's hand aimed at the little girl was completely severed!
Then he was sent flying backward, crashing into the tall steps in front of his house, rolling and screaming in agony!
After kicking Li Ran away, Lufan didn't even glance back but instead crouched down with the little girl to check on the old man's injuries.
The old man's injuries were severe; he was spitting blood continuously. If not treated promptly, he might not last much longer. It wasn't until Lufan pressed several vital points and infused a stream of Nine Yang True Qi that the old man's condition stabilized temporarily.
Everyone watched in shock at this scene: Li Ran lay on the ground covered in blood, screaming in pain, while Lufan quietly held the little girl and tended to the injured elder, creating a striking contrast.
At that moment, everyone present had only one thought in their minds: something big was about to happen!
